Loved the videos. So nice to see you in your element, even if you feel it's not your best. It looks like so much fun! I hope your ankle feels better soon. Nothing makes me rage quite like self-inflicted injuries, lol.

Yes! My life is so much better with him in it. I always notice more DOMS when I'm not sleeping well. My husband likes to tease me that it's all psychological. I think another component for now is the short, impromptu break I took from strength practice, and all the new things I'm playing with. I'm sure my recovery will improve once I settle back into a better routine. I can't say I'm really a fan of any vegetable, but I do eat zucchini on occasion. Unfortunately, I can't keep salsa in the house because if I have salsa, I'm going to want a bag of chips to go with it. There is a zucchini recipe I've been meaning to try, so thanks for the reminder! I need to write it somewhere so I'll remember to grab what I need on Sunday. I may try your idea as well, and just skip the salsa. I'm all for stove-free meals!

Thanks! I've really been enjoying the opportunity to try new things with my husband's eyes on the kids. Much less stressful, lol. I've never tried GainFitness before, but I used to several youtube videos for my yoga. Hilaria Baldwin on Plum TV and Esther of Ekhart Yoga were two I followed often. If you are very familiar with sequences, Yoga Download also has some good audio-only sequences on there. If I was sore, I'd go with Hatha. For more intense sessions, I'd search for vinyasa flows. I still do them occasionally, but now I usually go with some kind of animal flow, or sequences from MovNat. The recipe was a variation similar to one we already enjoy. It used a cucumber sauce, with slices in the wrap. It was all rather underwhelming, lol.

I'm going to be so sad when the playground is covered in ice and snow again! My husband has been going to the playground with us, so I'm getting to be a bit more adventurous. He gives me weird looks, but it's worth it, lol. The pull overs are just the pull up to toes/hips over the bar, swinging around to front support. Then I would reverse the movement to come down. I also did a few jumping muscle ups, and dismounted the same way. I'm pretty sure I hadn't done them since I was about my son's age, lol. Depending on how intense the DOMS is, sometimes I can only handle something like Molding Mobility or Intu-Flow. A few days ago, my chest and triceps were so sore that even that was difficult, lol. If I'm feeling ok, I'll play with things like crab and scorpion reaches and the transitions, and then I'll do a slow hip flow of MovNat movements. I also foam roll. So it's not just me then?

It's so good to see you sticking with your plan, even when your motivation isn't keeping up. Part of making this a lifestyle really is about just punching the clock some days. You are being so consistent this challenge!

Haha, I'm feeling the epic soreness as well! It's no wonder people have such a hard time sticking to an exercise program in the beginning. DOMS from the intermittent workouts is miserable! I hope you were able to enjoy the wedding stress free. I'm sure you looked amazing!

Thanks for sharing all of that! From how advanced and knowledgeable you are, I assumed you'd been at this consistently for much longer! So great to see how this community has helped you progress.

I've been dealing with some serious DOMS this week! My sleep schedule should be back to normal soon though. Tuesday: Very, very sore abs, triceps Afternoon at the zoo Lots of stretching/rolling. Hip capsule MWOD. Wed: Mildly sore tris (compared to yesterday) Bar pull over play at the park (so much fun) Monkey bars (smooth) Chin ups L sits Skipping and running along the trails Evening rolling New recipe today: cucumbers. Meh. Kids are cooperating, and so happy to have their dad home.

Thanks! She was so cute, and couldn't stop giggling. She had to give me a high five after every rep. You can kind of see the sequence here (around 7:24): I didn't cheat the push ups though, and I included the jump upon standing from the candlestick. It actually was quite fun.

Mini challenge workout Played around with/practiced candlestick rolls. Then: 50 burpees to candlestick roll These went surprising well! I used to be really bad about crashing back down out of the candlestick. I haven't done these in a long time, so I thought it would be fun to give them another try. Smooth! Pain-free. I also haven't trained push ups directly in a few months now, but for the first time ever, my shoulders and arms were not the limiting factor in my burpees. It was my conditioning that was slowing me down, lol. My daughter also did a few candlestick rolls with me. Other improvements: Feet always togetherNo assist on standing from the candlestickGreat hollow body at the top of the rollNo stress on neck/headPush ups felt easyNever felt core break

Thanks! We had another rainy day today, so they went to the movies. It's so hard for them to spend time together at home because my daughter likes to be in the middle of everything. Wow, thanks. I agree, it's so important to have something that's just for me. I'd go crazy if all of my energy was focused outside of myself. I think the same can be said for anyone in any position. It's definitely okay to be selfish sometimes. It took me a long time to learn that!
