  1. Looks great! And glad to hear things are going well for your son.
  2. With the pistol, I'm still having trouble with the bottom-up portion when I'm on the ground. I've been working the daily shrimp squats bottom-up in hopes that it will help. I have a decent L-sit, but there's still room for improvement. I find it much easier to get into it from my dip station than the p-bars. I'd like to be able to do a good one from anywhere. The handstand is still a work in progress, though it's getting better. I'm not sure how long it will take, but I'm trying. As for the flows, there is always room for improvement, and I've yet to even attempt some of the breakdance-type moves. Mike Fitch is coming out with a handbalancing DVD sometime this fall that I plan to ask for as my Christmas present.

  4. There are so many things I would love to be able to do. Check out Global Bodyweight Training. That's where I draw a lot of my inspiration from. Short term, I'd like to get pistols, L-sits, and handstands. Long-term, I'd like to be able to press to handstand (from frog stand, a straddle, and L-sit), do muscle ups, a stand-to-stand bridge, perform solid handstand push ups, perform any prasara flow I see, and much more. Haha, A-Man. I can guarentee you no one has ever called me that before, lol.
  5. She fell asleep on the couch last night at 6:30. I moved her to her room a few hours later, and she slept through the night until 7 this morning. She seems to be very happy and feeling much better. Thanks. Thanks. She seems to be, so far anyway. I can't figure out what's happened to it. My training calendars (for this challenge and the last) are right where I left them, and the checklist had been on top. I'm guessing my daughter has run off with it. She likes to steal my son's homework, so she can do her own. Maybe that's what's happened to me, lol. Aww, thanks. Training really is one of the best parts of my day. I can't imagine quitting.
  6. Hurray for good food and good rest! It can be hard to cut people loose that try to drag you down with them. Hope your life becomes filled with the friends you deserve.
  7. Great work! I love reading your workout summaries.
  8. I wish I could convince my husband to purge a few items. He insists on collecting everything, just in case.
  9. You are doing so great! Nice work on those pull ups. Very impressive.
  10. Congrats to all of you! I'm looking forward to the full write-up. Nice work!
  11. Congrats on your PR! Love those moments when you surprise yourself.
  12. Just popping in to thank you for the videos. I'll have to start collecting them in a playlist so that I don't lose them. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
  13. I've been trying to find my checklist from Week 1, but I can't figure out where it's at. I'll keep looking so that I can do a proper recap. 2.1 AM Morning mobility PLP mod - up to 12 reps of each PM Shoulder MWODs Rolling -PK, gymnastic Backward roll extensions Tripod headstands push to plank Kick ups to handstand Crow holds Elbow levers Stretching
  14. Thanks! He said he really enjoyed himself, especially considering his stomach was upset. Thanks! I try. Haha, yes, quite thrilled! He only ran the half, and finished under 2 hours. I don't know the exact time. He was happy, since he hadn't really trained for it. Thanks! He had a great time, though he and my daughter both ended up sick with some kind of stomach bug. We came home a day early. He seems to be feeling better, but she is having issues. I hope it passes as quickly for her as it did for him.
  15. Just a quick update 1.5 AM Morning mobility Bridge practice PLP mod PM Tuck front levers Hollow rocks Tuck back levers Superman rocks Stretching I'm so much better at hollow rocks than I am at Superman rocks. I think my chest gets in the way and makes it harder to get good ROM.
  16. He still has to go through the application process, like everyone else. This year was their way of testing his commitment, and they said that as long as he produced the grades, they'd love to have him.
  17. Since you're hungry, and training like a beast, I'd say EAT. If you prefer to stick to the window, just make sure you're fueling yourself. Since you are already so lean, it's not like you have a ton of bodyfat to pull from. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
  18. Thanks, Yuen! I'll have to tell him that someone on Earth thinks he's funny.
  19. 1.4 AM Morning mobility Bridge practice PLP mod - feeling good! About 30 min rolling PM Playground fun Low intensity jumping practice (focus on good form, quality reps of jumps) Cooled down, but ran out of time to stretch. Made a mental note to stretch later that was erased at some point before bed. Usually try to meditate after stretching. Oops. My husband is running the AF marathon on Saturday, so we'll be out of town this weekend. I'm not sure if I'll have a chance to check in, or what my workouts will be. The nice thing is that I can still do almost anything I want with just some clear space in the hotel room.
  20. I'm curious about the purpose for your tree-pose practice.
  21. I'm so jealous of your rings. I hope you have lots of fun!
