  1. Pretty good day today, pleased with how I’m plodding along with the challenge. Walked to work, after hanging around late to get the tutorial slot I needed walked home the long way. Once home I did a few bits and pieces although really not that much. Heading to bed a little early as I have a meeting in the morning (and I hope to find out the outcome of my application for permanent position at that meeting, fingers crossed). Exercise Points: 1 pt for walking 11,407. 3/50. Need to make it a priority to hit the gym this weekend, no excuses. Adulting: Teeth: Yes. 5mins chores: 5min in the morning and 10ish in the evening plus declutter challenge: undies drawer. I am pretty rutheless with underoos, tossing any that don’t fit in the bin instead of the washing machine, however I was still able to ditch a bra, a pair of wedgie-makers and a set of pjs I tore through the butt of weeks ago (why was I keeping those? I don’t even love the material they were made from…). Plodding along in this regard. Doing the 5mins of chores in the morning actually seems to make me more likely to do more in the afternoon as I have been unstacking the dishwasher in the morning and then when I get home from work loading it up again to run while I’m sleeping. On the weekend I hope to branch out to something a little more wild like taking out the trash, or vacuuming. Food Glorious Food: 7.5 Freggies. Banana/Spinach/Berry Smoothie, Carrot, chicken and green veg (broccoli, zucchini, asparagus), ceasar ‘salad’ (the guy smothered it in crutons, there was a whole slice of bread on there at least), apple cake, chai latte. Protein: B. milk, yoghurt, p. powder L. Chicken (not enough, need to pack cheese stick) D. ‘bacon’ bits… not sure that I want to count those as I’m not actually sure it came from an actual pig… Study: Stayed back late at work today to get the best tutorial spot when it opened. Got the spot! In the time I was waiting for the tutes to open I printed all my required readings. I feel a little bad for all the trees I’ve killed by printing those readings instead of just downloading them, but I find a pen and highlighter much more efficient for taking notes. Also as I now walk to work every day I hope my carbon footprint is offset a little in that way. I can only do what I can do. Hair: No new experiments, but I’ve gathered some interesting ideas to try on Sunday.
  2. Popping in pleased to report that I got the tutorial spot. (Woot, woot!). I was surprised how light it was while I was walking home at 730pm, which means I really have no excuse to not be hitting my steps since there's so much light time (I normally finish work at 5pm).
  3. Doing stuff from home is just weird sometimes... I just stayed back at my workplace 2.5hrs so I could enrol in tutorial from there cause I knew if I tried to do it from home I'd muck it up. Sounds like all the planning is going according to... plan... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I looked at my neglected multivitamins this morning and thought of you Tank. Tomorrow I might even take them XP keep on rolling down that road to recovery~ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yum yum! Plus parental approval makes for quite the win Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Subtropical Aussie here... I've seen snow, once. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Way to go! I'm walking to work in a light drizzle as we speak, it is quite refreshing compared to the usual mugginess Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Pretty pleased with today on the whole, had a few emotional wobbles, but got some food in me quick and got back on track. Walked to work the short way, walked home the long way, stopped by the butchers to buy a single slice of bacon, the dude thought I was so strange... Got a bunch of stuff done in the afternoon. Especially pleased with the homemade lunch, as there was so much colour compared to bought food. Budget-wise it's so much better to take lunch too. Exercise Points: 1pt for 11,007 steps. Adulting: Teeth= yes. 5mins chores = rangered, five in the morning, more like 20 in the evening, not counting the declutter. Declutter: I let go of a pair of heeled boots I haven't worn in two years since I bought them for a play I didn't end up wearing them for. I'd been keeping them because they would be good dress-up boots, however I have three other pairs of boots, all of which I actually wear. I also did the 'floor' challenge in the bedroom, cleaning up the dirty laundry and blankets and such, remaking the bed. Food Glorious Food: 8 Freggies. Banana/Spinach/Berry smoothie, carrot, rocket, baby tomatoes, chicken, cheese stick, onion, apple, bacon, egg. Protein: B. Milk, yogurt, protein powder. L. Cheese stick, chicken. D. Bacon, egg. Study: Printed a bunch of readings in preparation, tomorrow is tutorial enrolment night, so I'll probably stay at work for a couple hours after work to try and get the best spot, work internet is fairly reliable, while the home internet has hiccups occasionally (like when I have an important deadline or time-sensitive stuff to do). Hair: Done for this week.
  9. An ok day today, although not quite as many ticked 'to-dos' as I would like... Tomorrow night I'll be home alone and hope to catch up on the missed de clutter challenges. Exercise: yes, 1pt for 10,433. Adulting: chores yes, I unstacked and restacked the dishwasher, wiped the bench and stovetop. Brush teeth .5, forgot this morning, felt it all day. De clutter challenge not today, hope to catch up tomorrow. Foods: 4 freggies, Apple, egg, milkshake, fruit salad, carrot, leftover Thai food, egg, sip of chocolate milk. Doughnut, Small slurpee, homemade curry chicken, naan bread, yoghurt. (Little one is me, big one is the size I used to get) Protein: B. Egg, milk. L. Egg, chicken. D. Chicken, yoghurt. Study: not yet required Hair: done for this week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Day 1: A wobbly start. I write this as I'm walking to work on day 2, please excuse any typos/brevity. Yesterday's interview took a lot of my willpower. I walked to work, but once I got there it was almost all cards off the table in that I bought lunch and dinner and didn't eat any freggies post lunch. Interview went well though, and I should know by the end of the week. Exercise: almost- 9,400. I caught the bus home as my back was really hurting (a visit from an old injury). Adulting: 5min chores= yes. Declutter challenge=did it on Sunday. Teeth=yes. Food: freggies=5, smoothie, Apple and carrot sticks, cheese stick, nachos, pad Thai, other Thai food I don't know the names of (beefy something, rice). Ignore the eggs in the photo I didn't eat them, I'm having one for breakfast now. Proteins= B: milk, yoghurt, protein powder. L: beef and beans, sour cream, cheese stick. D: beef, chicken. Study: not yet r required. Hair: did on Sunday, 1/4. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Plus a food-shot for Schaengel. Devilled eggs, carrot sticks, cucumber sandwiches, apple scrolls (and me pondering said carrot stick). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Pre-challenge hype up and running. Did a bunch of pre-challenge stuff to make it easier to win: bought a uni laptop, ditched a bunch of old uni paperwork, cleaned up the house enough that 5mins of chores should keep it liveable, got rid of a couple bags of donations and collected some bulky items (eg cat food, litter) while my Mum was down with the van so I don’t have to think about getting them done on foot etc. We (Mum, two siblings, me) went to a steam-punk themed picnic lunch, which was pretty cool. Mum also delivered me a rug which is totally awesome! (I’m trying to be a more put-together home-keeper, and rugs just seem put together. Plus, it was pretty). Keen for the big start tomorrow, starting off with a bang as I have an interview for the full-time, permanent equivalent of my position (I’m currently on contract until March) at 9am. Bring it! Hair-do 1. Rag-rolled curls (plus a plait of the curl that didn't work). Super-dooper rug (plus kitty legs lol). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I feel you on the weekend variance- my Mum, two of my siblings and myself went to a steampunk lunch which was lovely but boiling in all the layers, after we went and got frozen cokes and I drank that bad boy up without a second thought. Back on track tomorrow (or the day after I suppose for the 'muricans) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Found you! Good goals! Several of them seem to line up with my own goals (including graduating with distinction, wewt wewt!). What are you studying? I'm one subject from finishing my Graduate Certificate in Business, and this challenge I'll be doing that subject plus another subject to count to the Masters I'll articulate into straight after. I like the cooking-for-the-family goal too, how is your fam for fresh ingredients? If the freshest thing is a floppy carrot (been there) you may need to factor in some smart grocery shops too. Following along to watch you rock week 1!
  15. Thanks! I think if possible I'm even more keen for this one. Seeing the measurement changes has really lit my fire plus these rewards I'm planning I've been tossing about for some months. Been bit by the challenge bug pretty hard.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Good to have you along~ as to the food pictures: you want 'em, you'll get 'em. Here's the last one I took of my lunchmunch aftermath (haven't tracked today) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Welcome aboard My hair is currently hot pink with a black strip. And here's a little preview of the first 'do (couldn't wait). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Way to go! Good job both on working on your goals and learning to know yourself and your needs, I look forward to your future successes out in the forums. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. The new challenge is up up up~! http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/77586-yasha-schools-uni/
  20. (MG1) Exercise Points: /50. As with the last challenge I’ll be aiming for 10,000 steps/day. This time I’m making it a goal to get to the gym at least once each week. Now that I’m back to paying for the gym I need to get the bang for my buck. Points are allocated: Gym Class=2pts, Bike Ride=1pt/30mins, Swim=1pt/5 laps, Walk=1pt/10,000 steps (plus .5 for every 5,000 above 10k). (MG2) Adulting: This challenge I will focus on small, achievable goals in this regard: teeth brushing 2xday, 5mins chores everyday, one Peter Walsh declutter challenge/day. Having these little goals should mean I can smash them and then build up from there. The declutter challenge should make a dent in the accumulated junk from living in the same house for 4 years, we are thinking about maybe moving in May, and I don’t want to move anything I don’t love. (MG3) Food Glorious Food: Continue with the 5 freggies/day and introduce ‘protein with every meal’. I believe I had been hitting that with last challenge, and that the wibbly-wobbly-woosey-weak days were days I neglected proteins. Having it as a goal should increase the get ‘er done mentality. Keeping this goal pretty simple as I will be returning to study this challenge and I want to stack the odds in my favour. (*Life*) Study: (Starts from the 8th Feb, points for pre-reading the required readings though) Every Thursday I will do a half-an-hour review of the topics covered in class. All the other days I will aim to read over my notes or required readings for 10mins minimum. I hope that by making sure I actually do the homework and start the assessment tasks before they are due will be reflected in some epic marks. Eventually I want to graduate with distinction, and the road to that is made easier by smashing the foundational subjects. (*Bonus*) Hair: Try one new hairdo per week. I have great (expensively) coloured hair, it's time to show it off more than a ponytail or plait. Rewards~ NF subscription (if I am consistently achieving the goals). Bellybutton piercing (if the waist measurement goes down to 90 or lower).
  21. Nice range® of goals, I particularly hear you on the trash situation... I've been known to start a new bag rather than taking out the old :/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Looking forward to the big, badass ending. You got this! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
