  1. Subscribing to keep track of all the wonderful tips and tricks. Thanks for the persistence and motivation.
  2. I love your idea of working on onsets. This is something I know I have struggled with a bit in the past on saxophone. I'll keep you posted on how it goes vocally. It's seems to be so hard to find time to practice when you are the teacher, but that's what planning periods are for right?!
  3. Alright, alright, alright, alright!!! Hey YA! Today was a really great day. I got back to the gym and I even had my fiance come along. She isn't very comfortable in the gym yet so I was working on teaching her technique, which is good for me to really focus on my form and be a good role model for her. Gallon of water was also consumed today Meal with primarily veggies and even went paleo with tuna steak tonight YUM!! Last but not least I got into the gym I feel so much less stressed it's great. It wasn't my strongest workout but it was nice to get back into it.
  4. Fiance went to the gym with me today. It was fun teaching her how to do the different movements.

Working out with a significant other tends to be fun, in any case!

  5. Alright posting for the weekend. Friday night we had a home basketball game and I had to be there to support my 3 sophmore and freshman girl singing the National Anthem (they did well by the way). Friday Saturday Sunday Monday Water Intake Veggie Meals :- :- Gym time :- :- :- :- I've been sick so I haven't been going to the gym every day like I did the first week, but according to my goals I did meet my challenge for week two. Totals for Week 2 Water intake: A Veggie Meals: 7/7 Gym Time: 4/3 So Far so good. Let's hope I get over this crud quickly. As for working out tonight I did do some body weight light stuff at home but didn't want to go to the gym and spread anything.
  6. My junior high is doing a fairly short accessible musical due to lack of funding from the district. We are going to put on the Musical Express "Making the Band" by John Jacobson. It's a short enough musical where i'm not tearing my hair out and it lets the kids get a taste of set, costume, and make-up design without having to go to crazy.
  7. W2:5 Today: Water consumption: Greens for lunch: yay for pretty decent salad bar at lunch where they always have some fruit on it. No workout for today: I had a quartet of of girls sing the national anthem at the basketball game tonight. As for yesterday I had a salad for lunch lentils and sweet potato soup for dinner I did a massive workout for chest arms and shoulders yesterday and I am feeling it. If you want to see what I did checkout my bodyspace page (click on the link in my signature.) Water consumption for yesterday:
  8. Awesome, Mini quest for this week are now knocked out of the park. Since I am a music teacher I only found it fitting to join "The Practice Room". As for following different threads I've been trying to help encourage various people in the recruits category periodically since this challenged has started so 3 for 3 on the mini quest this week.

  10. Hey Dantilla, I'm a music educator who also performs with a community jazz band as a saxophonist and a vocalist. At this point in time my high school is working on contest music, the middle school is working on their musical and I'm getting ready to help host a honor choir next weekend. In my down time from being a super hero I enjoy playing any type of game whether it be tabletop, or video. Many of my students have latched on to their "nerdy" teacher and we have established a gaming club in my small school. It's still in it's trial run, but we have had a good turn out thus far.
  11. I second this recommendation. I really enjoyed the book and the app for working out in a location that may not have a gym. Last year I lived on a farm in the middle of nowhere so i had plenty of places where I could do some of the various bodyweight workouts. It was great.
  12. The meditation society of australia has some podcast that are helpful in learning about meditation if you want someplace cheap to start.
  13. Have you thought about carrying some fruit with you? You'll still get some sweet, but it won't be processed sugar.
  14. 26 minute eliptical today plus about 45 minutes playing disney's fantasia (it's not much but it is getting me moving) Salad for both lunch and dinner, dinner had protein on it, also had some fruit as well as a protein bar after workout. Water consumption is really close i didn't have my normal bottle so i'm not entirely sure it i actually hit the mark but i do know i had over 50 oz so that's good. I'm looking at using Bodybuilding.com's pre-made workout plan. I'm not entirely sure if i'm going to enjoy it but so far so good.If anyone has used it i would be really appreciative of some opinions on their plans. Thanks.
  15. Tuesday W2 D2 Short post today. Water: Gym: chest and back workout greens meal: Dinner artichoke, pepper, olive, and pork hash.
