  1. I tried the Crystal Essence rollon, pomegrante flavor, but alas, I came out in a horrible rash. I'm now using the spray on kind (with the powdery stuff) as it's not directly rubbed into my skin. Will try the coconut oil!!
  2. How to know when it's time to break up with your personal trainer? I hate confrontation, but my trainer is almost always late, be it 5-15mins late, and it bothers me!! I spend a good chunk of $$ on gym fees + trainer twice a week.. My hubby would prefer I quit the PT sessions and save the $100/week or whatever it is (but fully supporting my choice atm and would not let me quit my gym membership!!) So I guess, I could quit this gym, join another, I like it enough but not fussed..it has weights and the usual cardio stuff, lots of classes etc. Or create my own program (like SL5x5 and C25KZ and classes) which would be enough I think. He's introduced me to deadlifts..which he was surprised to find are my favourite.. I like him as a friend and don't want to disappoint, but at some point I need to say something? I also liked the nutrition advice - he pointed out Marks Daily Apple and from there I found you guys... Any help would be appreciated, atm I feel like I'm stuck in the situation? Just weighing the pros and cons of it all I guess!
  3. Hey Acryllica, Hope all is going well, I see this post was from a few weeks ago. I'm in a similar boat to you, TTC (although really only started this year). However, with a BMI of over 30, so about 40 or so lbs over my ideal weight range. I was diagnosed with insulin resistance, so highly speculate also have PCOS, that being said, I've never asked the Dr about it. I read a book recently and was very interesting, and put my mind somewhat at ease .. there is a tonne of interventions they can do to get ovulation started (by mimicking body hormones at the right time) but overall, I think the statistic was, at my age group, 20% chance of pregnancy each month .. it's not high, but then again, it resets every month, therefore with time it may just work out. lots of baby dust sending to you now! K
  4. Thanks Stochaschick! Made me feel 100% better knowing I'm not the only ones with these issues! Yes, I've been a big fan of myfitnesspal .. it just stresses me out a little bit so that's why it wasn't one of my goals .. This week has been better, I've gotten off my lazy ass and made my lunches (including a HUGE amount of vegies!) to take to work and helped make dinner Aside from eating a few (a number less than 4..) cupcakes this week I think I've done pretty well! I was diagnosed with insulin resistance end of last year, and my PT has definitely decided to kick my butt recently and given me a bit more motivation. Would love to say i'm keeping with my fitness goals .. but I'm not here's hoping for a chance to play with some zoms this weekend.. Cheers! K
  5. Not doing well, I am such a 'seefood' eater and yet again at the company morning tea (consolidated all the month of birthdays into one). I don't know why or how to stop myself. And I kept nibbling at leftovers.. I hate myself for doing this.
  6. Ok so this week started out okay, but then I got a cold and have just been feeling kinda down. My weight has been up too - up at 81kg or about 180 pounds boo. Have been training as much as possible, although that went downhill on Sunday when I was super tired and generally icky and stuffed up. Hoping that some excess vit c and more rest and see how we progress!
  7. I have the zombie app and can also confirm it works well on a treadmill! Tried it once already and aside from being awkward that I didn't bring my headphones with me to the gym, it went great! Only been at it for 3 runs (including the intro which was awesome!)
  8. Saw this 6 week challenge and I'm up for it. I only saw it yesterday, so starting today! Main Goal - weight(mass) loss Currently I am a size 14-16, aiming for 10-12 (this is AU/UK sizing, not US dress sizes) I am 5'5" and 165 pounds on a good day.. my weight has been hovering here now for 6 months after a 10 pound loss over last xmas break .. I know, weird right? Fitness Goals - 6 times a week 2 pt sessions a week 2 gym classes a week (spin, aerobics, yoga etc) 2 walk/run sessions a week (namely using Zombie 5k) Life Goals - deal with stress Learn to meditate - starting at 1min a day Sleep 6+ hours Be aware of what I'm eating, not necessarily tracking, just being aware of emotional eating/stress-food triggers Motivation - Healthy, better shape, TTC in the near future. Ok so I've broken this down into little mini goals but with the one aim! If i remember i'll post some photos and measurements .. Feedback appreciated!
