  1. Do the hanging crunches get your abs? Are you legs a bottle neck in full-body exercises or are they stronger and therefore you rely upon them to relieve burden from weaker areas?
  2. It is scary, but you have quite possibly spent more time researching the topic than the people going to judge it. You are quite possibly more knowledgeable about them on this one, narrow, idea. That is cool. That should be intimidating for them.
  3. No internet at home for three days now, and no longer at home. I will try to borrow a computer Sunday night. To be safe: Next weeks is legs, with the same base 60s rules as pushups. Mostly squats, burpees count as a variation, and resting pose squat with max at once as the base if it is challenging.
  4. Omg Scary Try to not be surprised if every automobile to touch stops working, as if they are all on strike around you. A quiet week is probably good. The roads here are not great either but not that bad; less than two lanes wide for two way traffic and no shoulder. The lack of lines lends to most people just driving in the middle, which has the bonus of allowing one to avoid plants and where chunks of the side of the road are missing. Oh, and hills, blind turns, turna on hills with no warning, and often a wall or drop-off on either side of the road that is too small. The trees are there to catch you though. Guardrails are good, metal or living wood. People need to stop making roads that even a horse and wagon could not maneuver.
  5. My mistake, twas Lund University and although it was listed high for science and technology nothing in the master's listing had engineering - not a language issue. When you mentioned it being a place with a lot of English instruction I questioned it myself. I probably went through too many too quickly. There are many Scandinavian schools I plan to look at, I actually seem to have a leaning toward them.
  6. Try looking at the clock after dinner, and just not snacking from then until bed. In the morning, just see how long you can put off food before it is distracting (I found I wake up and am soon hungry, but if I ignore it it is gone quickly), and look at the clock after you have it all heated and ready to eat. It may surprise you how easy it is to go for 12-14 hours.
  7. Ah, you edited it into the first post. I like how you turned it around, mentally. If you need a cheap laptop some people sell ones they have refurbished (new OS, clean, max ram) for a lot less than a new one not much better.
  8. I like this. I am conflicted about the drive to have roots with wanting to go everywhere.
  9. Well, any. It will need to be English-language instruction. I eliminated a Turkish and German school solely because I reach a point where I could not read the web pages and just assumed that they did not use English as the language of instruction. There were more too: a couple French-speaking schools, I think one was Russian-speaking, another Swedish-taught? I am interested in learning languages, but not learning engineering with a language barrier; mathematics is a challenging enough language in my native tongue.
  10. Goal 1: No significant progress Goal 2: I eliminated ~10 schools, mostly because of them lacking English-language instruction, so it was not much time. I applied to about 17 jobs where I want to be, but I am not expecting much. Goal 3: nope Overall, week 2 was bad. Week 3 needs to kick butt because week 4 will be traveling. I think I will do linear algebra on week 4, so for week three I would like to get through Calculus ch 4 and 5, then complete my wax seal and order it. I should absolutely send out one letter, possibly two. To be reasonable, for graduate schools, be sure to have all the language-barrier schools removed from my possible list.
  11. I just couch surf, mostly at my sibling's but also with people I visit. Metra sucks on weekends. No, that is a lie, it just sucks more.
  12. Soda costing more than water is the problem. Well, water that does not taste like metal. Also, the sugar from soda means not needing to eat. . . Basically soda costing the same as water is a problem, or places charging for water cups.
  13. Heroes Win! 72%72% 57%57% The lack of hostages and minions seemed to have hurt the villains' ability to take over the city. Their predictable plans were met and crushed by the heroes, for the most part (power station aside), with haste. Doomsday devices, city-demolishing battles, taking over the world, it is all so repetitive and predictable. Dull. The villains could never win if they continue to repeat the same schemes, nor could the heroes hope to not alienate civilians. The answer lies in creativity, for more is needed for these tales to continue. Mission for week 3: (Monday - Friday) Try something new! 'Tis time for both the villains and heroes to abscond to their lairs and caves, so that they might conspire to form new plans of world domination or protection. One point for the team for each new thing tried, whether exercise or something else. It is highly advised that those pursuits are shared, so that your own team as well as your adversaries (it would be so boring to have no challenge in your opponent) may take some ideas. Roleplaying is optional, with no points given nor used, within teams to depict the formulation of new strategies in their individual bases. (RP in the thread with your team mates for fun if you want, but read all the posts (RP or not) for ideas on new exercises, food, or other things to try.) Spreadsheet PS: I will be out of town for a week, starting on Friday. haha I suppose for me it would have been better to switch this week's mission and next. Ah, no cheating, right? I may post the mission for week 4 early, but it would still start on the Monday, and the nice write-up may be late for the 5th week. It should all be fine though.
  14. Oh, so you do not have the interest in doing, for example, a circuit 3 times? Hmmm that may explain why I have been missing some too. I may have to revisit my ideas with that in mind.
  15. Ah, I hope it is better this time. Keep updating, okay?
  16. Yep, but where you were can still be a good mark for a goal.
