  1. I'm seriously impressed with all your achievements Dawsy, well done. I'm particularly loving the blog; in fact I'll be baring my soles for the first time next week.
  2. Nicely done! I'm really pleased for you Mike.
  3. *Added to Google Reader* Great start to the blog Dawsy, looking forward to seeing more.
  4. Day 31 Broke my toe last night...that is all. *hobbles away muttering profanity under his breath*
  5. @GoToTheGround I do mine in Bedford at the Bunyan sports centre. Thanks for the heads up though, It's good to know there are other nearby options.
  6. Day 30 Apologies for the lack of activity; a sudden spike in work related stress resulted in a massive flare up in my Ulcerative Colitis and my Psoriasis - Yay As a result my exercise activities dropped to zero, because when I wasn't doubled over with extreme abdominal pain I was hobbling around due to the 2 inch crack in my right foot. On the upside, I stayed off the sugar and managed to complete the collected works of H P Lovecraft (I'm sure that counts as more than one book ) Now that most of my systemic inflammation has subsided along with the UC symptoms, I'll measure myself again in the morning. I'll see how my foot has healed tonight with a gentle session of Muay Thai... @StarShine1975 - Thank you for your concern and words of encouragement. @SuperXM1ke - Three minutes of plank? I think beating that might have to be my big finish goal
  7. Well done on the planks Mike, I hope you don't mind but you have become my unofficial plank competition. You could say you're my benchmark...
  8. Day 16 Muay Thai day today, we all ended up getting punishments thanks, in part, to my darling daughter taking too long to remove her pads. What was the punishment I hear you ask? A nice gruelling session of ab destruction - I'm so glad blitzed my ads only the night before...
  9. Day 15 A fairly relaxed day on Monday, a bit of ab work and not much else (no increase on my plank yet...)
  10. Well week 2 is done. I managed to drop another half inch on my waist & chest, so no complaints there. I didn't manage to finish a book this week and I still only managed one run. My week three my goals are to increase my plank to 120 seconds, crow stand to 30 seconds, definitely get in two runs and get my pushups up to 20 per set. Good luck for next week everyone.
  11. Day 14 Felt much more motivated today, I got in 30 minutes of shadow boxing in (thanks @theroberthogan) I managed a full minute of the plank and managed 13 seconds of crow stand - result! It's also measurement time... Waist : 46.5" (.5" gone) Chest : 48" (.5" gone) Neck : 18.5" Left Bicep : 14 Right Bicep : 14.5 Right Thigh : 26" Left Thigh :26" Nice to see my waist is still going in the right direction, shame the biceps aren't moving yet. I didn't manage to finish a book this week and I still only managed one run For week three my goals are to increase my plank to 120 seconds, crow stand to 30 seconds, definitely get in two runs and get my pushups up to 20 per set.
  12. Days 12 & 13 No exercise for two days, my 'get up and go', stayed sat on the sofa and said "meh". Still managed to stay clear of the sugar though, so that's something...
  13. All the best for the 10k tomorrow - perhaps you should spike the kids bedtime drink to be on the safe side.
  14. Day 11 Ran today, the feet were okay but the shins complained a bit: Distance : 1.21 miles Time : 13:46 I hit my 45 second plank goal, Woot! Still not hitting the Crow Stand... @SuperXM1ke - Thanks for the encouragement, it definitely helps. @theroberthogan - Thanks for the encouragement and the tip, I'll get started on that tonight.
