  1. "A vampire can be of any evil alignment, and if its alignment was not evil in life it becomes so in undeath. A vampire retains all the abilities it had in life, plus it gains the ability to drain life energy, and to dominate other creatures with its gaze." And so, even though our hero had twice fought hard and had twice prevailed against the forces that had beset him, he found himself once again drained of the victory he'd previously enjoyed and was now back where he had started. I just got back from a game convention. It was a great time, with great people, but I noticed two things there

  3. Help a newbie lifter out. In the past few months, I've graduated from using the machines to using free weights. But I have some lingering questions about whether I'm using the equipment properly. Is there even a right way to do this? Do I load weight plates with the flat side in, or the flat side out? Also, the spring clamps ("collars"?) - they seem to have an angle to them... should they angle toward the plates or away? Am I being concerned about something that has absolutely no impact on anything? Thanks
  4. Frustrated. Could use a few miles of running and some heavy lifting to clear my head.

      I feel that way too

  5. The short version of the story is that a commoner from Brightwater Keep came down the mountain to your village and begged for help. The keep was under attack by Fellbeasts. The group fought its way up the mountain. Near the top, the Keep was off to the right and an odd column of black smoke was off to the left. The group defied to investigate the smoke, which they discovered to be a portal through which the Fellbeasts were entering this world. A villager near that black column told the group that a magic item, known as a "Torch Radiant" might be able to close the portal. There may be one such
  6. "Select the product range of the first three in their last four games, and the changes that are unique to the new iPhone at the end of the long bar to send the camouflage paint." "Select Product Range First Three Last Four Games | Changes Unique New IPhone | Long Bar Send Camouflage Paint." SPRFTLFG CUNI LBSCP It's all there in black and white, friends.
  7. Welcome! You've found a great bunch of nerdy fitness enthusiasts. Also an enthusiastic bunch of fitness nerds.
  8. I ran it through Google Translate (English -> Spanish -> Arabic -> Maori -> English) and got this: "Select the product range of the first three in their last four games, and the changes that are unique to the new iPhone at the end of the long bar to send the camouflage paint." I think we're closer to solving this.
  9. The ranger nods to his companions, takes a deep breath, and takes off up the path. Moments later, he has vanished around the bend. Though he is out of sight, the companions would later find out that he ran nonstop from the edge of the village to the outer curtain wall of Brightstone Keep. From the time he left sight of his friends to the time he reached the glistening white walls of the keep, he maintained a brisk pace, never stopping. Even when he encountered a small band of lesser fellbeasts, he never broke pace. Instead, he swept past them briskly, swiping at one with his blade as he passed
  10. Yesterday morning was a good gym day. I ran 3 miles in 28:30, which is part of my "Endurance Feat" for the RPG adverture accountabilibuddies we're doing. I upped my deadlift to 5 sets of 5 @ 205#, which felt good, but I worry about my grip strength. I felt like I was just holding on by my fingertips, which didn't feel safe. I think I still have plenty of capacity to increase the weight from 110 on my 5x5 bench presses. The best part was that I was able to crank out a set of 12 pull ups during the workout without too much trouble. My second set was 8, and my third was 4. Feeling pretty goo
  11. Week 2 daily exercise (updated during the week) 4/20 - Gym (3+ miles, batch of pull ups) 4/21 - Fencing 4/22 - Night off 4/23 - Fencing 4/24 - Gym 4/25 - Off 4/26 - Gym
