  1. Hey guys, I just moved to the SA area a little while ago and I'm still getting use to the area and I'd love to get to meet some people and see what's going on around town. Hit me up!
  2. You can do more variations with those. Some that pop right off the top of my head for pushups are wide grips, claps, one-handed. You can also do some leg conditioning like calf raises on stairs and such.
  3. Oh hey! This is a neat little feature to leave messages...

  4. Thanks a lot for the welcome! I thought it was a creative way of putting it..
  5. An often misconception is trying to place the efficacy or importance of one move above another. It's hard to say, but the common ones have already been listed. Parkour is a discipline of movement and therefore it's not just simply about the moves that you use, it's about how you use your body to move. A person is able to get from one side to another using a kong vault while another can easily just lazy vault right over it. If you are interested more in this, feel free to read some of the other posts that I have made in mdowner's threads as well as sending me a message. Hope you have a great day. ~Cheers.
  6. I suppose you can try gloves, but I personally don't and honestly do not know of any that really do.. lotions to help as a sort of after-care sometimes. It just takes awhile for your hands to get use to being used in that manner and it also depends on whether if you attain any longer injuries on your hands. Knowing when to rest and heal is just as important as training hard and consistently.
  7. This is where it gets really fun... If you want something where you can really practice Parkour, go find yourself a playground. That's one of the best places that you can do your training. Parkour isn't all just about the flips and tricks and such. It's about the discipline of movement (and discipline in itself). I'll try to break it down a little bit for you without going crazy here... Picnic Benches and Tables: Great for practicing jumps. Start from a standstill and jump to practice getting your vert up. Be sure to include this as a regular routine in your training. Start small, then move up (i.e. start from the ground to the bench, then from the ground to the table.) These tables and benches are also great for practicing your vaults (i.e. kong, thief, etc.) If you want to practice your Kongs, I would recommend trying to find those benches that are along the side of a path (away from a table). That way, you can start small, then move on up to longer/larger distances. Playground playsets: This is great for several different reasons. First, you can use it as a regular warm-up routine and also regular bodyweight exercises, i.e. chin-ups (variations), etc. Second, this is a great place to practice your movements by being able to climb up, climb across, climb through, leap around, and so on and so forth. It all depends on what kind of playground you go to, each one will present a new and different challenge. This will train you to get familiar with the way your body moves (or doesn't move) and it also gives you the challenge of using muscles of your body that you never thought existed If you're looking for someone to help you out (or just chat about PK), feel free to shoot me a private message on here! Have a great day man
  8. What kind of bodyweight exercises are you doing? There are certain ones that you can do variations of to make it more challenging to do. Upping the reps also helps
  9. I haven't quite how to make that work just yet. Right now I am slowly getting myself back into a shape where I am regularly training Parkour. It's been a great week, but it's the first week in a long time I've done anything that strenuous (but fun). It'll probably take a couple weeks before I get into a more "regular" routine. Feel free to send me a private message or something anytime!
  10. Hey Dan! Welcome to the forums! I look forward to seeing more from you!
  11. Hey Tod! Welcome! I'm new to the forums too, but I've been reading the articles on here for quite some time. If you're looking for someone to check-in on you and just chat, I'd love to be a helping hand! I'm in Jersey so the difference is only 3 hours

  13. Good evening ladies and gentlemen. My name is Blitz. I am currently in my fourth year of my second decade in life. I am approximately six inches under 6 high and I weigh approximately one large goat and a sack of dog food. I am new to this neighborhood, but I have been reading the letters that this legion's leader has been sending out. I am currently searching for a party to join me in a quest (or rather a few quests). Feel free to search for my postings in the sidekicks board. I hope you enjoy your day and I look forward to hearing from many of you. Warm Regards, Blitz.
  14. Good evening... I'm new to these forums and I'm not exactly. . . old..., but I am an avid lover of PK/FR... if there is anyone here that is still active. . . feel free to hit me up via personal messages or here and we can talk about this!
  15. Good evening folks, My name is "Blitz". I am about 5'7" and I weigh about 143 lbs. I am here looking for a party who can help me on this giant quest we are all on called life. I have a few smaller quests that I am slowly starting to begin on, but I don't think that I can accomplish it on my own; not without a party. If you are interested, please leave a post on here and a private message.
