  1. Well I've recently starting having issues with contacts... well when I take them out. They won't bother me when I'm wearing them but when I take them out it feels like there is somthing in my eye for hours. Not fun! What are oakleys?!
  2. I've noticed this too! The longer I eat healthy the easier it is to not even be bothered by junk food!
  3. My hubby is exactly the same way! But I buy all of the groceries in our house, so I still get him the crap he wants (to some extent) but I make sure I don't get anything that won't temp me. I also keep our house stoked with healthy things that I really love to eat so that if I get a craving, I can eat it instead.
  4. I recently saw some light-up arm bands but I can't for the life of me remember where I saw them! They looked neat too! Maybe a google search would find them? Personally, I wish I could run in the dark but I'm too big of a chicken!
  5. Cheer up hun! As for your boyfriend you deserve so much better than that! It is sooo not ok for him to tell you that! Like someone above said you deserve someone who is attracted to you almost all the time! That is only hurting yourself esteem and cheating yourself from someone who could really love you the way you deserve. As for the other stuff, try surrounding yourself with positive reinforcement! I like to print out little inspirational quotes and put them around my bathroom mirror. Or put one as your phone wallpaper so everytime you look at it, it reminds you. I have grown up with bad self-esteem and I know how much it sucks to feel that way. But those tips definitely help! Eat well, exercise, and get your rest and it will help you too
  6. lol its funny because this morning I asked my hubby to run with me and he complained the whole time he was hungry, but I was just fine. For me, personally, I would rather work out alone. But then again, my husband works nights and I work days so we don't really have that time for opportunity. Maybe just go together when you can, and go alone when you can't. My hubby drives me crazy sometimes when we run anyways so I prefer the occasional rather than frequent haha
  7. It is so hard not to just jump into it because I find the stupid portals to Oblivion super annoying haha And there are so many memes on Pinterest that taunt me! I don't blame you for playing Skyrim first! I'm pretty excited for Elder Scrolls Online too!
  8. So like 6 months ago I got this dress at a thrift store. But I was never able to wear it because it was a size 4. When I started my weight loss journey, I put it on my door to see everyday and I told myself that I was going to get in that dress one day. I just put it on and it fit!! I'm so happy to literally see progress!
  9. Just thought I'd let you all know that JimmyJazz has some awesome prices on Nike clothing! They have their sale and clearance apparel and extra 40% off. I just got a pair of Nike sweats and a Nike hoodie for only 30 dollars! And shipping is pretty cheap!
  10. I'm pretty sure we are music soulmates lol jk but I love like 90% of those bands and have seen a few but would love to see them all,
  11. Hmm... Well lets see When I was 12 I was obsessed with Kenny Chesney and saw him 3 times which included Little Big Town, Deirks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Gretchen Wilson, Uncle Kracker, Kid Rock, etc Fast forward to high school and I only listened to Christian music and saw Switchfoot, House of Heroes, Fireflight, Family Force 5 a couple times, oh gosh I can't even count them all. I probably went to 6 or 7 of those festivals. Fast forward again to college-current RED Skillet Three Days Grave Saving Abel In October I'm seeing Avenged Sevenfold!! And I'm stoked about it!
  12. I've never really found a solution to this problem but to just not talk about it with my fam. My mom thinks that "ladies" shouldn't play video games or be interested in the things I am. If I mention anything about it to her she will say I shouldn't be wasting my money on that stuff. So I have just learned to not talk about it. It is easier since I only see them once every few weeks, but if you still are living with them it can be rough. High school sucked! I guess what I've done is surround myself with people who like the things I do, so that I still have that support group. They may not be biologically family, but they definitely are my family still!
  13. Yesterday I got in the 130s finally! That makes my weight loss over 15 pounds! Only 14.4 to go!
  14. This is the female soldier from the trailer! I also found another one on google search!
  15. Have you guys seen the trailer for Call of Duty Ghosts?! I'm so stoked that we can finally be female characters and even customize them! I have been saying since 3 games ago that it wasn't fair that I didn't have the choice to be a woman. I can't wait til it comes out in November!
  16. Currently I'm replaying through the ME trilogy I traded my 360 in for a PS3 a couple months ago and the first game I bought was the trilogy. I have already beat the first two and half of the third on Xbox, but I never had a consistent Commander Shepherd throughout and I really want to do that. I also have on and off been playing Oblivion because I'd like to play Skyrim but I feel like I will cheat the game if I don't play Oblivion through first haha
  17. Yeah we didn't have anyone in our class that wasn't more than just a bit overweight. They can't really be used well for obese people. There was one girl in our class that may be considered obese (I'm not sure her weight) but she definitely had some skewed results. I looked over her results and she had a lower percentage than everyone in the class, including two of my 90 pound classmates. Thus, I'm assuming that there is probably a certain point where the results would become not accurate. Not only externally, but the more overweight your are the more chances of internal fat you have around your organs.
  18. Get NOOM Walk! It is awesome and hardly uses your battery! It is one of their promo things that they don't drain batterires. Trust me. Mine is ALWAYS on. I literally never turn it off and my battery is just the same!
  19. Oh and the bike was only $80 at walmart on clearance haha
  20. I got a cruiser haha just because I like the way they look. I really have no clue about skates. I am super skeptical getting any without trying them though. I remember getting a few duds growing up that were worthless haha
  21. Personally I would wear the shortest shorts I was comfortable with the next time I worked out with that lady haha just kidding...kinda. But I wear short shorts usually, just because I get so hot when I work out. I'm the weirdo who is wearing shorts and a cutoff in the winter. I just retain alot of heat. I can't stand shorts past the upper part of my mid thigh. I have a pair of Walmart shorts I ran in yesterday and I felt smothered! I have some short running tight shorts made by Nike and they are my absolute favorite! But seriously- I understand people who don't feel comfortable in them, but if you do then go for it.
  22. I can't say scientifically, but when I was in high school track when we would have torture workouts we would all feel like vomiting. Maybe it is just how hard you are pushing yourself or something you are eating before? I did find this article if you want to check it out. It is more legit than my answer haha http://running.about.com/od/nutritionforrunners/f/nausearunning.htm
  23. That is rough! My hubby doesn't really participate in my diet or exercise fully, but he eats what I cook him and if I ask him to go for a run with me he is always up for it if he isn't working. But it doesn't really bother me because the encouragement he gives me is great. He tells me daily that he is proud of me. Yesterday I put together a progress picture and showed him and he said that I've changed alot on the outside but he has noticed that I feel better about myself on the outside as well. If anything at all, tell her you need that encouragement. It is a huge thing to know that someone is on your side and helping you through- even if they aren't actively participating in the activity.
  24. lol I really should! It burns so many calories but doesn't feel like exercise! I live in a small college town. I guess another factor is the cost of skates! I was looking them up last week and its crazy! When i was a kid we always got our skates at garage sales for 3 bucks so I never knew they were expensive! And I just bought a brand new bike yesterday. But maybe in a couple months I will do it. I already get people staring at me because I look weird haha why not let them stare more
