  1. Welp, I'm pretty much spent. Nearly pulled a muscle in my back today attempting 345lbs. Methinks I'm going to have extreme difficulty hitting my target in time. Also, this is the scotch in question.
  2. So, in what is now a theme, morning deadlift workouts have me sucking wind. I missed my second rep of 325lbs, despite three attempts at it. Still ground my way through all the accessories, and ready to absolutely crush it next week. https://www.fitocracy.com/entry/25904965/

[A] Goal #2: Food for the Gods A - Eat, at bare minimum, 250g of protein and 2500kCals total per day. Log absolutely everything. Once again, I've missed the protein numbers on a few days.[C] Goal #3: The Onrushing Storm A - Run 5km for speed twice a week, in addition to walking at least 3km every day. I didn't do any running this previous week. Still plenty of walking though. [C]
  4. Today was supposed to be an easier de-load day, but instead I ended up sucking wind on pretty much everything and missing one of my heavy deadlift sets entirely. Fucker just would not move. I may have tweaked something in my lower back as well, all because I was trying to improve my form.   6. I must admit, the second one was a tad sloppy and turned into a bit of a grinder, but it still went up. I can't say I've been as successful with the rest of my goals so far, though. I've hit the calorie target every day, but missed the protein numbers yesterday. Still got in around 150g, so not a total miss, but a miss nonetheless. Goal #3: The Onrushing Storm A - Run 5km for speed twice a week, in addition to walking at least 3km every day. I haven't been remembering to track all of the walking, but it has been happening. The running, I'm still figuring out how to fit around my gym schedule without negatively impacting it. But it is happening. [A]

  10. I should probably poke my head in here. Not sure if I'll be able to go to anything in the near future, though. Weddings and birthdays and whatnot to attend for most of August. That said, if you make it to PAX, I'll be chained to some theatre or another.
  11. I'm currently on week 4 of a 'Coan-Phillipi' progression from 335 to 385, and I plan to follow it through to 10 weeks. Definitely an extremely aggressive goal, probably going to have to eat my way to it, judging by my performance at the gym today.   12. So, true to form, I made a bet with a friend of mine that expires come PAX Prime. If I can't deadlift 385lbs, I owe her a $100 glass of scotch. I have no intention of buying any scotch at PAX. My current max deadlift is 335lbs. Needless to say, balls will be busted to make this happen. MAIN QUEST THOU ART NO ODINSON Build up my strength and endurance to rival the mighty Thor. Goal #1: Unmoving, for the Unworthy Lift that which cannot be lifted (yet.) I aim to follow through a 6-week deadlift progression, capped by a maximum attempt. A - Deadlift 385lbs Goal #2: Food for the Gods I've been slacking somewhat in regards to hitting my diet targets, which is making progress evaluation somewhat difficult. A - Eat, at bare minimum, 250g of protein and 2500kCals total per day. Log absolutely everything. Goal #3: The Onrushing Storm I've also been slacking hard on any sort of cardio or speed training.   13. Long time no talk, but I had to put this somewhere. In the past week, fueled by angry music, a growing disdain for the impudent steel resisting me, and the dire need to get as much work in before my next tattoo appointment [friday], I went on a rampage in the gym to finally establish my 1RM for a few lifts. I have the following broken PR's to report. They will be formatted as (Exercises: new PR [gain over previous PR]) Bench Press: 175lbs (+15lbs) Pendlay Row: 195lbs (+25lbs) Deadlift: 335lbs (+40lbs) Front Squat: 205lbs (+45lbs) Squat: 305lbs (+70lbs) Woot.
  14. A bit behind the ball on this one, but final update GOOOOOOOO Fitness And/Or Diet -Squat [front or back] more than 100lbs, 3x5 [2 STR, 2 STA] -A- Currently at 100lbs on the front squat. Crushed. -Deadlift 190lbs, 3x5 [2 STR, 2 STA] -A- Currently at 190lbs for the deadlift. Just eked this one out at the end - turns out healing tattoos is time consuming. Crushed. -Maintain Intermittent Fasting for the duration of the challenge [3 CON] -B- Mostly crushed. I didn't maintain the exact time window on all days, some necessary compromises were made, but I'm alright with that. Life, The Universe, and Everything -Brute force my way into post-secondary education by any means necessary [2 WIS, 2 CHA] -B- Placement test CRUSHED, then jumped up and down on, then ground into the dirt with /both/ heels. Registration begins tomorrow. Still, I delayed said test long enough, it may bite me in the ass. I didn't really participate in the weekly challenges, but I'm not too worried about that. Overall, i hit all my goals almost on the mark, and even spent two weeks not working out /and not gaining back any weight./ Victory by most measures. Waiting for tattoo to heal a bit more before jumping back in to things. -Maintain Intermittent Fasting for the duration of the challenge [3 CON] Some slip-ups, and necessary compromises, (you don't go in for a tattoo session hungry), but otherwise on track with this.
