  1. Holy cow! Do you know her name? She is so talented and brave! I've never done a top out boulder problem and I've always been afraid to cuz I dont really like heights but that was so high to fall from! And that looked so tough, thanks for sharing!

  3. Hi everyone! I'm new to the forums/6 week challenges but I'm so excited to start this one! I've read the Nerd Fitness article for a year or so now and joined the Academy a couple months ago but this is all new to me and I love all the support on here! I'm a relatively new climber but I love that, and I'm starting to get into calisthenics and want to learn to do cool gymnastic type holds and balances too. I don't really have any favorite fictional assassins but am inspired by real and fictional characters that train hard to do what they need to do, whether that's batman training to save gotham, to soldiers training to do their job, or even mothers exercising so they can keep up with their kids running around, it's all inspirational and encouraging to me! I'm also really inspired by female boulderers that climb ridiculously hard problems, I'd love to be that strong someday! I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and leveling up as assassins together!
  4. Alright 0gravity Its decided I'm coming to live in your awesome climbing den haha. That looks incredible, thankfully I'm not too far from a climbing gym so I can go there quite a bit, unfortunately there isn't a whole lot to climb outdoors in Chicago's suburbs so I'll stick to indoors for now. I'm really hoping to head out on a climbing trip with my aunt & uncle-in law to southern Illinois when it's warmer though, I would love to climb outdoors!
  5. Hey Annette, great goals! I really like bouldering too, just getting started though so I'm still just climbing v0s, I feel after this challenge I'll be at a v1 level though! My goals aren't specifically climbing related this time but I think next challenge one of mine will be. Good luck with everything!
  6. Awesome video! Loved watching it! I'm a climber too but still pretty new at it (climbing around a 5.7 and v.0 level right now), I really enjoy bouldering though, that's what I have the most fun with. I'm excited to see how your challenge goes, good luck with everything!

I've got a dodgy shoulder as well that I've been using your method of ignore it and it will go away for years now, it has it's good times and bad but I really should get it checked out and see what's going on. Maybe next challenge I'll steal that goal from you haha. Good luck with everything, hope you get good news with your shoulder!

  9. Yay for being back in the mitten! I'm from Michigan (Kalamazoo!) but moved to Illinois a year ago to be closer to my then fiance, now husband I love MI though and would love to move back there at some point. Good luck with your goals, they sound very do-able and having a loved one on board to help support and encourage you is great, it definitely helps!
  10. Hi everyone! My name is Becca and this is my first 6 week challenge. I joined the Academy a couple months ago and love it so far, I'm currently a level 5 assasin, but I've decided I need a little kick in the pants to stay committed and motivated with my goals and I think this challenge will really help! I've decided to work on my weaknesses for this challenge since they usually get overlooked since I hate feeling weak and don't particularly like doing things I'm not good at. That will all change soon! I'm very weak in my core, flexibility, and at resisting sweets so this challenge will revolve around that for me. My main quest: Be a stronger, healthier, leaner version of myself that can do cool gymnastic type stuff with my body and be a great climber too. 6 week challenge goals: 1. Be able to hold an L-sit with good form for 10 seconds. A=10 seconds, B=7 seconds, C=5 seconds, D=3 seconds, Fail if I can't hold one with good form at all. 2. Do a little yoga everyday. A=42 days, B=35 days, C=28 days, D=21 days, Fail if any less than 14 days 3. Limit myself to only having a small sweet treat once a week, replace all other cravings with fruit. A=6 sweet days, B=8 sweet days, C=10 sweet days, D=12 sweet days, Fail if I have more than 14 sweet days. I'm excited to start the challenge and see what happens at the end of these six weeks! Good luck everyone! I forgot about rewards! If I do well with this challenge I'm gonna get a bunch of stuff to represent the people who helped me do it! If I get an A I'll get all of the below. If I get a B I get a NF sweatshirt If I get a C I get a NF t-shirt If I get a D I get a NF sticker pack I also decided no matter how poorly I do If I actually stick with the challenge for all 6 weeks I'll get some new loose leaf tea just for the hell of it cuz I love tea
