Boxing class consisted mostly of sparring today. We started out just throwing jabs, then 1s and 2s, and finally went to free spar. I was sparring with another student today and as I threw my jab out, his shot one over my arm and got me pretty good. I dropped my guard hand on the right without thinking and he followed up with a hook. Next thing I know, coach is picking me up off the mat. I don't even remember falling down. What a humble lesson I have learned today.

My pants got a big split up them today at the gym. Only got one hour in at boxing class today because of that. Better luck next time I suppose.

It wasn't really that long ago that we got ours. If you get the chance to join an MMA gym, I definitely recommend it.

Boxing went really well today. I sparred with a few more experienced guys and was really humbled at just how little I know. I took a lot of really good shots and dealt some good ones of my owns. I've got a minor headache but overall, it was a really awesome night at the gym. I can't wait until tomorrow, I'm going to be taking my first Muay Thai class.

I started this morning off on the right foot and knocked out my workout early. Warm up: 4 minutes of jump rope 50 jumping jacks 20 body squats 5 lunges for each leg 5 hip rotations each leg 10 forward/side leg swings 10 push ups 10 counts of arm swings 10 counts of shoulder rotations Workout (1 set): 20 body squats 10 push ups 5 lunges each leg 10 dumbbell rows (15 pounds) each arm 15 second plank 30 jumping jacks Overall I took it easy this morning because I have boxing class later today and I'm sure that I'm going to be adding more to this list when I get home.

9/8/13 Stats: Height - 69.5 Inches Weight - 215 pounds Biceps: 14 Inches Mid thigh: 23 Inches Waist at navel:43 inches Hips at widest point:44 inches Total Inches: 124 Goals: (No particular order) 1. Attend boxing class 3 days out of 7 per week. 2. Attend Marine Corps PT 1 day out of 7 per week. (Alternative in the event I cannot make it to PT is to follow my normal workout routine) 3. Lose 5 total inches between 9/9/13 and 10/26/13 (My birthday) Workout routine: Beginner Body Weight Workout: Monday, Wednesday, Friday Interval Training: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday Diet: Wake until 3 P.M. - Intermittent fast 3 P.M. - 9 P.M. - Paleo foods. (Sausage and beans are my favorite.) 9 P.M. - 12 A.M. - Continuation of fast (12 is usually when I sleep.)

I just got a gym membership so I'll keep an ear out and see if I catch anything noteworthy.

I've seen P.O.D., Three Days Grace, and Shinedown in Lexington last February. My first and only concert as of now. It was pretty sweet except some punk rubbed gum all over my windshield and I had to drive all the way back to Louisville with a funky kaleidoscope looking window.
