  1. MY MAIN QUEST Pick your Main Quest - where do you want to be in a few months? I want to have a kitchen free of temptation and steady habit of eating Paleo. 2. Pick three incredibly specific goals (diet and fitness related) that will help you achieve your Main Quest 1.) Understand Paleo 2.) Systematically clear out my home and kitchen of food that calls to me 3.) Work up to 10 strictly Paleo meals a week by the end of the challenge. MY SIDE QUEST Life Side Quest: Purchase sensitive toothpaste and brush teeth at least once a day.
  2. I found this website: eMeals It gives you dinner plans and a shopping list for the next week. You can choose what style of eating you follow and Paleo is one of the options. You can optionally add breakfast and lunch, but I don't think they match the style. I started with the 3 month plan to see how I like it. Nothing to report as of yet. Cost was 21 dollars for 3 months. I guess it seems silly to pay for a meal plan when there are free resources, but I'm hoping not having to find recipes will make it easier for me to stick to what I'm trying to do. I've attached the sample Paleo Family plan that is posted on their website. There is also an option for 1-2 people. If anyone else tries this site, please let me know what you think. ~Calliopie emeals-paleo-family-plan.pdf
  3. Inside my head, I'm the swiftest elf you'll ever meet. My intellect can do backflips, frontflips and perfect dismounts. Inside my head I do battle everyday with demons and ghouls- sometimes they're mine and sometimes they belong to others who need help. My empathy levels are sky high. I know what people really mean when they speak in small talk, and I can read between the lines just as easily as I can read what's printed. Inside my head I am an unstoppable force of nature. But outside I feel puffy and unwieldy and wasted. My name is Calliopie. I'm 5'2 3/4'' and I recently hit 190lb. I am a massage therapist and I want to be a physical therapist- clearly not because I'm a sports nut, but because bodies are the coolest machines with the best secrets. Giving someone motion they haven't had for years and taking away pain that has stuck around for decades is like magic. I'm observing at a physical therapy clinic, and it has mirrors everywhere. I've been so caught up in the rest of my life that I didn't notice... well, I didn't notice me. Body disassociation is something I see and deal with daily in my clients. "You should treat your body like you would treat you best friend," is something I repeat ad nauseum. Too bad I'm the Queen of Good Advice for Others. The hypocrisy needs to end. I will be applying for graduate school next fall, which gives me one year to shape up, and its the shape I'm concerned about, not the size. My biggest challenges with exercise are getting started (information overload) and not getting bored (if my brain is out, I'm out). My biggest challenges with dieting are that the carbs are cheap and those sneaky traitors have taken up residence in my basal ganglia. Also, breakfast and I haven't been on speaking terms for years. This place looks like a good place to be right now. ~Calliopie
