  1. You can always try to find an SCA group, they have classes and such that help with sewing and often times leather working for various reasons since people use that to make armor.
  2. I've been playing with the idea to either make an altair costume or captain america but seriously need to reach goal weight before that. Been meaning to throw together a dark jedi costume since I should be able to make it in a weekend.
  3. Awesome. thanks for responding so quickly.
  4. Know it's been a while but going to be starting Kendo soon and needing to find a place to buy stuff from and wondering if it was any good.
  5. Sorry the last minuteness of this but been under the weather for the past few days, so not able to come out tonight and participate with y'all. Hopefully next time.
  6. Hey I can actually meet then, What is the address for the wedge?
  7. According to various docs, 250 is about the lowest healthiest weight I will be at for my build. Still dealing with that annoyance of a realization but keeps me from going insane about my size and the fact that I'll probably be barrel chested regardless of workout plan or diet
  8. Alright so I've been under for over a month, but i've been busy and have had no internet but here at work. I finally achieved part one of my long term goals of being under 300lbs and staying there. currently hovering around 291-289 but ultimately I finally got past that bastard of a number. Now aiming for the goal weight I've been told to aim for by doctors of 250lbs. It's nice to be actually seeing those results, especially since I don't see it in the mirror that much.
  9. I also have difficulty with Wednesday nights as that is my SCA training night. But like I said before if anyone wants to grab lunch in downtown okc during the week feel free to shoot me a message.
  10. First day able to breath multiple times without tissues, so actually working out again. Finished bike, since its 20° outside, and soon regular workout attempt.
  11. And sick. Not only hurting knee but feel like crap now.
  12. I did a total of 219 push ups, and 671 situps. Would have more if not for hurting my knee last week, but taking an extra day to let it heal up some. My highest push up count was 35 and highest sit up count was 111
  13. More improvements happening, actually improved my average for the interval sit ups, only by 1 for the overall but did 5 on the total amount. It wiped me out though, to the point I could barely move once I got into bed. Upset at my running though. Added 5 secs to the intervals and did better then before, but since it's been mostly Ice this past few weeks, haven't been outside running and it killed me more then last time. Hopefully I can keep up the pace and eventually be back on track like before.
  14. So been making progress with my workouts. I beat my old number of push ups last night. Went from 27 to 34 during my finisher, was happy about that but truly happy that I was able to get 12 straight pushups before needing a knee in my 30 second intervals. I'm getting closer and closer to the required minimum on push ups and sit ups, Hopefully by the end of next month can be focusing on my speed for the tests.
  15. I just look scraggly as hell even after a month...curly hair means facial hair isn't the best for beards and such. I think it's one of those things that depends on how you look bald. Usually not too bad a combo unless you have never been bald and aren't comfortable with the lack of hair.
  16. I'm trying to make regular updates, but with internet being sketchy at the apartment and trying to figure out new schedules it's being a pain. But I'm still with the workout, increased the reps for this new week. Also started to do the sit ups in my finisher in the form needed for the police test...dropped from an average of 22.2 to 15.2 for the 5 sets, but at least getting my form corrected. Starting the PK rolls and practicing my kip ups which has been a fleeting practice. Also start SCA practice this week, so get to whack the hell out of people soon.
  17. Keep forgetting to update...life has been insane. Actually kept close to my diet during thanksgiving, strayed a little bit. But the big thing for me was actually getting over 25 pushups in my finisher and then 111 situps, actually getting to the necessary goal for the police test of 24 in a minute, but going to try to charge past that. Still need to get my pushups to 18+ in one without any breaks.
  18. That's the attitude, and remember, not everyone has seen the other videos out there. One you make may be their first video and can be the inspiration they need to push themselves to get better.
  19. I have to thank Final Fantasy VIII for showing me that depression can be overcome with some help but by pushing through it. Assassin's creed for showing that using the world as a playground may not be acceptable but makes for an interesting way of travel. And Kingdom Hearts that while they may not be what you expected, friends come from all places and often help you in ways you never expected they'd be able to.
  20. Even if they aren't completely original, at least can be your own and a decent expression of your skill.
  21. It's kinda funny, running hot enough that you have to step outside barefoot in 33º weather to cool off mid workout and have a bit of steam coming off you. One of the other residents here actually looked at me and picked up their pace. Winter is one of the many times I'm thankful I'm a guy, rarely cold and have female friends that are almost always cold and need to use my heat.
  22. i'm not easily available for dinner, but if anyone works downtown OKC, can try to have lunch with them. Sadly the only way I could meet up with people for now.
  23. I just banged the hell out of my knee, was worried for a sec and cussing for a minute, outside of that nothing major. Yeah going to sweep the apartment tonight since having nothing else to do.
  24. Learned two important lessons today, 1) a dirty tile floor is even more slippery then a clean one, 2) shouldn't attempt the handstand challenge after the intensive upper body workout. But in an attempt to make my time more available started combining my interval training and BWW into the same day, especially since the interval training has been pushed to an indoor bike since the ice and snow has started to fall in Oklahoma.
  25. Had to skip running yesterday, had a friend in town that I haven't seen in a few months. Having to move that around so I can run on saturday hopefully. If a ceremony in the morning doesn't take too long.
