  1. Thanks everyone for your replies. Its actually the opposite. The hairfall is there because there is extra testosterone (that's what the doc says). And I think the fatigue is more of lethargy. Because the tiredness doesn't happen in the days I wake up early and/or do even a light workout. Looking forward to good workout plan now.
  2. Main Quest Participate in my first ever half marathon sometime in end October / early November. Regain my waist size and be a healthy 20 something again on the way. Goal 1 At least 10 km / week - initially, increment it to 50 km / week by the time I get done Goal 2 Walk after lunch and dinner - at least 6 days in a week Goal 3 Not more than 1 soda in 2 days Goal 4 2 green teas and 1.5 L of water a day Side Quest Have not been touch in touch with my best friend, i.e. books for a long time now. Will try to complete one book each weekend of this quest. Mini Quest Fix my eating habits. Eat all three (proper) meals and snacking if any in the right quantity, on the right time and of the right type. I am new to this forum so this whole quest storyline is a bit confusing. Hope the above is line with what everyone is doing and will really help me achieve what I have set out for. Needless to say looking for dedicated (but fun) people who I can benchmark my progress against on a regular basis - we can communicate either via specialized apps (a la Nike Running), this forum or on whatsapp. Will add my motivation snap later.
  3. Hi everyone, I was looking for fitness advice online and stumbled across this forum. I think peer advice should work much better than those $299.99 get slim in 7 days advice that other websites are hell bent on selling me. Anyway. The story goes like this. I got done with college 2 years ago. I had a flat tummy, a very good appetite, good energy levels and I was a perfect young boy. I was twenty one that time. Fast forward now - I have a severe hair loss problem (among other skin ailments), low energy levels/drowsiness (well lower than before!), a tummy which people have started to notice (without a drop of beer) and loss of appetite. What has changed in the past two years - While in college, I had a very active lifestyle - lots of walking that is. Ever since I started working its office all day (though I try to take short breaks), a lot of travelling (hotel food) and the likes. Since I travel a lot, I can not join a gym either. I have dily-dalied this for far too long now but now I have decided to fix myself. I know a major reason for my condition is what I am eating and the lack of exercise. I would be so very glad if you people could help me with the following things: a) Foods that I should or should not eat (a small request: if you can help me in terms of simple foods - fruits etc, it'd be great because I travel so much that exotic foods that other websites suggest are non available 101% of the time) Exercise - since I can not join a gym / stick to one trainer - what is the basic set of exercises that I can do anywhere without any special equipment c) Running - not too many parks/gardens around here. Is running on footpaths/tar roads good. If yes how long should I run everyday. Any other advice on keeping motivation levels high would be most welcome. Looking forward to regain myself and my confidence
