  1. Oh, I thought of another sub-portion to my main goal....kind of a reward and end game boss fight rolled into one... ... http://www.runningdeadreno.com/#!runners/c1a3e I'm hoping to up my endurance to be able to run this 5k without passing out, puking, or getting infected.
  2. So the second week has started, and I've been doing good with my new eating habits. My workouts have been a little sporadic because of school, work, and trying to move. I was kind of disappointed that I haven't seen any change in my weight, although I do feel a lot better; more energy and I've been sleeping better (except for the weird dreams.) I feel like I've been putting a lot of energy into this with little in return, and I have to admit I'm slightly discouraged... If anyone has any opinions on what else I could do or change, I'm all ears. Cheers! Mel
  3. I'm kind of doing the Paleo Diet...easing into it though, because I usually go gung ho into a new diet and end up failing miserably.
  4. So this is my first serious attempt at losing weight and getting healthy. I'm hoping that this 6 week challenge will kick start my new healthy life style. I'm 27 years old, 5'8", and weigh 225 lbs. My life time goal is to get the weight off and keep it off, because I have a lot of physical pain that I've had since I was 14 and living without pain is something I'd like to feel again! I plan on changing my diet and becoming more active through things like: tennis, strengthening workouts, paintball, walking, running, hiking, and archery. I also think it would be really fun to be able to wear my puppy out (he's a miniature pinscher :>).
