  1. Today's blog is all about the Night's Watch. Awesome. My favorite Steve quote: "For anybody on a quest to live a leveled-up life, these next six weeks are the most important six weeks of the year. Are you going to let your healthy habits slowly die, forcing you to once again make a declaration to get back on track, starting January 1?"
  2. 11/24 - I am grateful for a fresh week - yesterday was all sorts of messed up because of lack of sleep and too many treats, but I'm back on track today. Ah, hell, lets call it a respawn thanksgiving (is that allowed Doodlies? How many respawn parties can one have in one challenge? I am grateful for quiet holidays at home with minimal guests. My introvert nature loves it. Cardio: 20 min exercise bike (1/5) Bodyweight: Yes, 1 round of Night's Watch (1/2) French: Yes (2/7)
  3. 11/23 - I am grateful for time to sit down and do crafts with my daughter. We both greatly enjoyed it. I am grateful for central heat as it gets to what we call "winter" in georgia. Cardio: No (0/5) Bodyweight: No (0/2) - although I might have done some Doodlie strength pvp....I'm not allowed to count it French: Yes (1/7)
  4. Sorry I'm late to the party....but had to add some perkele!
  5. 11/22 - Gratitude - I'm so grateful for sunshine and joy. Cardio - No (4/5) Bodyweight (1/2) French - Yes (7/7) It was a good week. I'm feeling super lazy this weekend though. I finally get a week off and I really just want to lay in the bed. Have to get back on track tomorrow for the Doodlie Strength challenge and SIL coming in on Tues. Sugar is sliding a bit as well, and I need to pull back again and remind myself of my goals. It's hard around the holidays.
  6. So I do a combo. I calorie count, eat a lot of the same clean foods, and mostly avoid sugar. I can't fast, that doesn't work at all for me. The trick that works for sugar is that I always have a choice, and the choice is not whether or not to have the cookie, but whether I'm choosing my new way of eating/health/lean goals or old habits/illness/fat. That way I never feel like a victim who "can't" have sugar. I am just choosing for NOW to focus on other goals. I'm a vegetarian and I eat mostly the same foods. So by keeping my general menu the same, especially during the week, I don't need to super calorie count. I know that if I have this certain variety of foods, including my lunchtime mocha, it averages out to about this many calories and if I add a decent amount of steps/exercise, then I loose about 2 lbs a week (I have a lot to lose - 100+). Anyway - so that's what's worked for me. River
  7. Awww. I'm feeling vicariously all warm and fuzzy from your virtual hugs. I'm so impressed by your grateful lists. I struggle to find two things a day, and you crank out 7+. Thank you for reminding me how much there is to be grateful for in the world.
  8. Glad your car got fixed. Car troubles are always rough. Get this week done. You can do it!
  9. Planning is the hardest part for me too. I struggle to fit in bodyweight workouts when I have time and not when I'd prefer to do them. Luckily my child is over the early years, but age six brings a whole new set of challenges. Keep at it! You can do it.
