  1. You're welcome! Maybe next challenge we can both work on the middle splits! Still have a couple of inches to go
  2. Christmas eve potluck turned out to be quite healthy, with a no cream pumpkin soup as the main dish. Christmas itself was a little tricky. We slept over at a friend's house and ate pizza for lunch. Christmas dinner was at my family's home. I avoided all carbs (Shepherd's pie & Carbonara) and went with the meat! Satay + sausage + roast duck 26/12 (Thursday) Squat 57.5 kg - 5,5,5,5,4 reps Bench 35 kg - 5,4,4,3,3 reps Rows 22.5 kg - 5,5,5,4,3 reps Glutes + Adductor machines, Assisted chin ups. Dragging myself out of bed today to go to the gym was probably one of the hardest things I've done all year. Not to mention having to go to work after that. Damn the holiday mood.. Next challenge. Coming up soon, Haevyn continues her battle with the holiday bulge! She has drawn her sword, but her opponent takes out burgers, steak and potatoes? Stay tuned as she goes through the dungeon of her company Christmas dinner!
  3. O.O Ten hour drive. Twice. In a week. You have no idea how much that boggles my mind. I live in the middle of a country where I can drive to either end within 4 hours. Games night! Woot! Board games? Haven't met many nerd here yet that play. Any recommendations? Seems like you have a solid plan. I'll be rooting for you. Safe journeys!
  4. Your "christmas meal" allowance is awesome! That and realistic. I am aiming for something like that too, if only to stem my feelings of envy towards my friends' christmas meals. Good on you!
  5. I love how you have the exact way you're going to accomplish your goal down! Go for it
  6. I was reading your post, and it reminded me to take my supplements! Thanks, and good luck!
  7. 24/12 (Tuesday) So it begins. Haevyn has a dastardly Christmas Eve potluck in the evening, highlights of the match will be the unending supply of chocolate, cake and mash potatoes. Will she survive and pull through? Stay tuned! Workout: Squat: 55 kg - Finished all sets! Finally! OHP: 22.5 kg - Sped through Deadlift: 85 kg - Managed 3 reps. Assisted chin ups + pull ups, Adductor machine (25 kg , 20 kg)
  8. I think it's awesome how supportive she is Then again, look at the benefits!
  9. Every year it happens. The holiday seasons start. "Its only two more days to Christmas," you would think. "Surely I can survive these few days without stuffing my face and gaining an elephant of weight." Alas, the opposite happens and the few days turn into a week and rolls way past the New Year. Sigh. Well, this year I'm putting my foot down! No more holiday binges for Haevyn! Even if that succulent looking cake that's just oozing chocolate is calling my name. The goal: To maintain or lose weight. I'm currently 58 kg. Not heavy, but I definitely do not want any extra weight! The Game Plan: 1) A 70% Paleo diet combined with IF. Why 70%? Cause I'm not that cruel to myself. 2) maintain the workout! I've been briefed. Good luck to me!
  10. Main Quest Challenges Squat my body weight (58 kg) - Pass! (STR)Do a free standing handstand - Does a 3 - 5 second one count? (CON)Three consecutive chin ups - Yes! (STR)Life Quest Have at least a 90% attendance rate for Japanese lessons - 100%! (WIS)
  11. Congratulations! Looks like plenty of great changes were made. Keep it up!
  12. Good News 1) I've hit the 60 kg squat (PR only) 2) 3 chin ups! Bad News 1) A free standing handstand?! Pfftt! Let me rain down on your hopes and dreams! Anyway, the best I can seem to manage is a kick up to the wall, then letting my feet drift away. But the maximum that lasts seems to be around 5 or 6 secs..
  13. Yeah.. It's not a competition.. Haevyn looks around shiftily, tiptoeing to the side to quietly sabotage W4DM's weight plates. W4DM's 22 lbs plates now read as 33 lbs.
  14. Would it bad if I don't root for you? It's the only lift I have that's heavier than yours Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk
  15. I think one of my greatest joys in being a heavy lifting girl is out lifting my boyfriend and brother! Well, only on some lifts. I champion the deadlifts! And it's awesome taunting my boyfriend about how heavy my squats are compared to his.
  16. 16 December (Mon) Current Stats - Squat - 52.5 kg OHP - 25 kg: reps 3,4,3,2,1 Deadlift - 80 kg reps 4 Really had to use gloves plus a mixed grip after the first rep. After that did 3 sets of ten push ups, ten leg raises. Mixture of assisted chin ups and pull ups (decreased the amount assisted again! Way lower reps though.) Definitely a lot more work to do.. Only 6 more days to go!
  17. Where I am now in term of my challenges: Main Quest Challenges Squat my body weight (58 kg). (I'm currently squatting 37.5 kg) - Have deloaded, am currently doing 52.5 kgDo a free standing handstand! (I'm currently halfway up the wall) - On kick ups now!Three consecutive chin ups and/or pull ups - I can manage 2 consecutive chin ups with good form. Then I fall apart.Life Quest Have at least a 90% attendance rate for Japanese lessons (I'm starting on November 19) - 100%! Current Conclusion - Grading A - Japanese lessons attendance B - 2 chin ups C- 52 kg squat E - Wall handstand Less than one week to somehow improve everything! XD
  18. Just moved to kick up! Can manage to balance and hold the handstands twice every ten kick ups or so..
  19. Just noticed that you haven't been posting! Please please please still be keeping up with the challenge!
  20. That's great! All little things add up. Body weight exercises can be hard enough and if you're doing enough of them, it definitely fulfills the weights portion. Are you still doing NF's beginner's body circuit? You can always change little things if you find that it's not hard enough. Ie: Change from knee push ups to full push ups, air squats to overhead squats, etc. Do I ever know how the plank feels.. For me my issue seems to be my shoulders though..
  21. 13 December (Fri) Current Stats - Squat - 50 kg Deloaded. But somehow the reps didn't get easier! Really took advantage of the deload to try to fix my form, especially my back. (I've been starting to arch it. XD) Bench - 35 kg 5,5,4,4,3 Well, it's an improvement.. Rows - 20 kg Deloaded. My form for this was horrible. Kept rounding my back.
