  1. Weigh in at 206 this morning. Gym last night, swimming and water aerobics. 2 sets of pushups, 2 sets of body weight squats on a Bosu, 10 minutes on the rowing machine. Did my first C25K workout on saturday, going to do another today. Job hunt continues.
  2. ok, gym thursday night was good - need to weigh in today still. Haven't eaten out yet. Just enjoying the hospitality of friends, which can be a little unhealthy. Want to go running, but need to get some motivation, hopefully the nicer weather starting this week will help. Job hunt is progressing. I have a number of leads that I am pursuing - sent out 5 resume's last week and created my portfolio site - http://timbly.com/portfolio.
  3. Alright, rode bike for a while yesterday to do some errands around the neighborhood. Rescheduled the gym to this morning because the wife was in pain last night. So this morning it was out the door by eight for swimming and water aerobics, crunches and free-weights. I knew yesterday was a fluke - down to 209 today - which was my expected starting point.
  4. Good goals, very similar to where I'm at. I had to look up the C25K. Wow, that's an awesome plan. You can do it!
  5. OK, checking in on day 1. Weight 214. Hmm, seems higher than normal today. Well, this is my starting point. So my new target is only 206. 2 lbs a week is a little aggressive anyways, but it seems to be easier at the beginning. Going to the gym later today.
  6. Thanks, I've been thinking about getting involved in this forum for a while, and now that I will have some more time and need some more motivation, I'm in. Can't wait to see what happens with this!
  7. Goal 1: Get to the gym 3 times per week (swimming, free weights, body-weight exercises) Goal 2: Get a Job (I was laid off this week) Goal 3: No eating out (until I get a job - then celebrate) Goal 4: Lose 8 pounds (get down to 200) I feel like it's going to be important to keep myself active and working on these goals while I go through this terrible time. I am having trouble seeing how I'm even going to make it through a week unemployed without going crazy. I hope that thinking about something 28 days out is going to really help me mentally.
