  1. Hi Ellith, I was just reading up about your sugar shack dilemma. I have a similar problem with my friends. When we go out together we tend to feed off each other and order the worst things on the menu plus an appetizer plus dessert. I've started scoping out the restaurant for healthy options before hand and having a small snack so that I'm not starving and tempted to eat the unhealthy options. I've also started suggesting non-food related activities so that I don't even have to worry about it. I know that might not help you very much this time but next time your friends go out you won't feel as conflicted.
  2. When I was reading your post I kind of felt like I was reading something I might have posted a few years ago ( although my starting weight was a bit higher) I know how it feels to slowly put on weight and I also went to university to get a degree in history and clawed my way out the other side. Sometimes I'm still surprised since I skipped like 50% of my classes :/ I also love your long term fitness goal its ambitious and achievable not to mention courageous! Good luck!
  3. Hello everyone! So I'm starting this challenge a bit late but better late than never! I've been reading Nerdfitness for a while now and I've finally taken the plunge and joined a challenge. I'm super excited and a bit anxious to get started. My main goal is to lose about 100 lbs. I say about because to me its more about what I can do with my body than how much it weighs. I would love to be able to do a hand stand again. I haven't done one since elementary school but I'm determined. Challenge goals: 1. Namast'ay With This: I really enjoy yoga so my goal for the next six weeks is to hit the mat everyday for the next six weeks. A- 7 days/week B- 5-6 days/week C 3-4 days/week D- 2 days/week F- >2 days/week 2. Eat all the veggies (and fruits): I want to work up to the recommended 9 servings of fruits and veggies a day but since I currently do eat any vegetables I'll start smaller. I aim to have at least 4 servings of fruits and/or veggies everyday. A- 4 or more servings per day B-3 servings per day C-2 Servings per day D- 1 serving per day F- no vegetables or fruits at all 3. One Step at a Time: Work in a 30 minute walk 3 times each week. I have a puppy that needs the exercise so this will be good for both of us. 4. Get my learn on: My lifestyle goal has to do with my studies. I attend classes and recently I have been skipping class mainly because I can (I'm supposed to be in class now, as a matter of fact, oops). My goal is to attend the rest of my classes no excuses. Welp, I'm off to get started
