  1. Thanks for the reply, but I should have put more info into my post - rushing around and posted half the details. This happened after the birth of our third child. Child is now 21 months old. My wife had been slowly going off sex for a while before the birth though. It's been well over 2 years since we had penetrative sex at this point.
  2. This thread seems like a sensible place to ask... Anyone have any tips on getting a spouse to start enjoying sex again? Long story, but briefly - had child, libido disappeared, sex stopped. Any ideas? Willing to try anything at this point.
  3. ...and I've decided to extend it until Christmas at least. Weight has dropped off me, I feel good, I'm eating better than I have in years - I just wish I'd found out about this 10 years ago! As for the woot - I've gone from 250.6lb to 236.6 in the last 30 days; in UK terms, I've lost exactly a stone which means I'm under 17 stone (238lb) for the first time in 17 years. While that's still hefty, it's a major achievement for me, so WOOOOOOOOOOT :D
  4. Day 16 for me and I'm actually enjoying it. I have more energy, I feel great, mood is much better and weight seems to be dropping off me - at least, I can get into clothes that were too small a month ago
  5. Hey James, you're doing amazingly well buddy Keep this up and you'll whup me in our little comp!
  6. I love Secret Santa, so I'm up for this if the costs don't end up too high
  7. I'm another that's been going grey since late teens. It's never bothered me and I'm now totally grey at 35. I imagine I'll be like my mother and be totally white at 45. I've dyed it once, for shits and giggles - last Christmas, I thought it'd be funny to turn up at the family gathering with dark dark dark brown hair. It amused me to see people staring at me and knowing they were trying to work out what was different, until it finally twigged for someone. It looked silly dark for a week or so, then looked OKish when it faded down for a couple of weeks, then it was pretty much back to usual. I wouldn't do it again, unless it's for jokes; but then I've been going grey for long enough to embrace it fully
  8. I start Whole30 on Monday. Not sure whether to try and ease myself into it over the weekend or whether to have a pizza/ice cream/irish coffee blowout.
  9. Hey Sally, welcome! Another Brit and another newbie here... I'm also going to be going 80% Paleo from next month, so looking forward to hearing how you get on with it.
  10. A dyslexic man walked into a bra... Two cows standing in a field. The first one says "Mooooooo." The second says "Bastard, I was going to say that." Another two cows standing in a field. The first one turns to the second and says "Have you heard about that mad cow disease going round?" The second says "Doesn't worry me mate, I'm a helicopter."
  11. I don't have a favourite bit of my body either, but I definitely have issues
  12. I'm currently rocking a really random mix of stuff, so thought I'd post the next 5 tracks that pop up on my Shuffle: Pearl Jam - Spin the Black Circle Rammstein - Mein Teil Tenacious D - To Be The Best Sudakistan - Dale Gas Trent Reznor, Dave Grohl & Joshua Homme - Mantra There's a lot of rock (of all kinds) on there, but there's also a fair whack of hip hop, dance etc. And thanks to this thread, I've discovered some new stuff
  13. I've never seen that blog before but just spent my lunch reading the Spending Fast post. It sounds like a brilliant idea - I made big mistakes with money when I was younger, meaning I've been slowly clawing my way out of debt ever since. Some of the things she's written in that post really resonated. I'm going to discuss it with my wife and see if we can do a spending fast from now until the end of the year - if it goes as well as I hope, to extend that throughout 2014. I'm in a position now where I think a full year on a spending fast will knock out 75% of my remaining debt, which would be literally life-changing... I know it's been a while since you posted this, but thanks for bringing that to my attention
