  1. When it's cold out, I want to hibernate and that's not good for my sanity or my health! Main Quest: Fit more comfortably into my favorite jeans. 1. Physical Fitness - Move more. Even if it's fidgeting, just do it. (If successful +5 STR) 2. Mental Acuity - Practice Italian (I'm going to Italy this spring!) at least one new phrase 6 days a week. (If successful +5 WIS) 3. Diet - Alcohol once a week. Again with the cold, and the hibernating. I want alcohol. I want its sweet, sweet warmth and its reminder of summer. But alcohol is keeping me from fitting more comfortably into my favorite jeans so it has got to go. (If successful +5 CON) Motivation: I want to be healthy so I can be active with my son and also fit better into all my clothes. I've come so far, it would suck to plateau where I am and stay here forever. Reward: If I do all this, I get the reward of buying a new pair of the same jeans! Then I'll have twice as many opportunities to look good in them. Challenge: I've really slacked off the past few months and it's a miracle I've only gained 2 pounds of my weight loss back. I need to take control. I've done it before, I can do it again.
  2. Hi all! Couldn't join up this time because I knew I wouldn't be around, but I've been keeping up with Team Breakthrough and hope to be back for the next round. It's so good to see you all out there plugging away! It gives me hope for coming back. May the odds be ever in your favor! ~Emme
  3. It's officially been a year and a week since I last had Coke. I went cold turkey from an average of two cans a day, and it was torture in the beginning but got much, much easier until last month when my company put a pop machine right outside my office door. Bastards. I really didn't think I would make it, but I did! I just kept thinking how sad it would be if I gave in. All my hard work and self-control would have been for nothing. I had to keep the streak alive!

Me in the size Medium hoodie! And yes, like a weirdo I logo'd my face but I have a creepy ex, so I try to keep online pics of me to a minimum. Still! It fits!

    1. Physical Fitness - Ouch. With the boychild in and out of the hospital I've been about 50% with this. 2 STR points, because I celebrate small victories. (If successful +5 STR) 2. Mental Acuity - Have made this work any time I've gone to work more than twice in a week. 2 points. (If successful +5 WIS) 3. Diet - Made this sh*t work! Super proud of myself. I get all 5 points! (If successful +5 CON) And as soon as I can get to a camera and my hoodie I will post pics, because I totally fit it.

This has been another rough week. My son ended up back in the hospital, though only for two days this time. But now we're giving meds every 2 hours, and he's on oxygen around the clock, which is a lot harder on me than on him, believe it or not. I weighed in on Monday and I was at 159 which is 60 pounds lost. And the hoodie is still just the tiniest bit tight but I think it would be wearable as is? I'll post a picture on the last day and we'll see what you all think! I've been flailing on listening to Italian, though that's because I was going to do it to and from work and now I'm not going to work since I'm working from home to take care of my little one. I've been good on my other goals though. I would give myself a grade of A for both the others all week. So that's something?
  7. I'm a week behind, but here's my why: A year ago I was sick and miserable, and my body felt gross and overworked all the time. A doctor told me giving up grain might be a last resort. I never though it would work, but I decided to give myself the chance, and then it was just like BAM. Everything got better. My aches and pains, and perpetual stomach ache, and exhaustion were all gone. I stopped losing my hair and the knobs on my fingers from joint swelling went away. So my biggest why is because I don't want to go back to fat, sick and nearly dead! I still have 20 pounds to lose before I hit my weight loss goal, but even if I never lose it, life is 100% better now than it was last August!

Oh my gosh, you guys! I got the Goal Hoodie down to try it on to see how I was doing and it isn't a large. It's a medium! And even though it's still just the tiniest bit tight, HOLY F*CK, I put on a medium. And zipped it up. This is a really big deal. And probably dumb to be crying over, but it's been a long week, so I'm cool with crying anyway!
  9. Just finished this week's mini-challenge! And it feels good to be encouraging. Who knew?
  10. Awwww. I love the grandma part of your challenge! I wish my grandmas were still alive, and I very much regret not calling them more when they were. Hope all is going well!
  11. I love those updates, but you haven't posted in awhile. Hope all is well and life hasn't gotten in your way, like it's prone to do sometimes! Good luck!!!!
  12. A training center for demon hunters sounds awesome! I've been watching loads of Supernatural so that might be why, but still! I hope you're still working at it, out there in the cloud somewhere. Good luck!
  13. Hi! Just popping in to tell you this whole set up looks awesome. I know you haven't updated in awhile but I hope you haven't given up! You can do this!!!
  14. Yay for a wall plank! That's awesome!!!
  15. Sorry I've been gone, y'all! My son was in the hospital but he's home now and things are looking back on track. I had a breakthrough over the weekend, though it's sort of a crazy one. My work reallllly stresses me out sometimes and it was very tempting to keep checking my work email while my little one was in the hospital but I decided to ~give no fucks~ and since they weren't paying me for the time I was taking off I just didn't read them. I gave all my attention to my son like I wanted to, and I let work wait.
