  1. Yayyy! One difference; you're nearly finished, while I just had my first day! I'm working hard to meet my goals and am already seen as the "odd one out" of the small group of friends I've made during introduction, as today I said that I like studying. I thought that being in University meant that everybody likes studying :/ I just ate a banana whilst my boyfriend had a kano. A KANO. Are you proud of meeee? Because rugby is awesome? I'm glad we agree. "Mom, what's a hooker?" "What do props do?" "Is hot bunch a rugby term?" I cannot bare the thought of this rugger not being on my team! She'd have to be a flip bitch Somehow flip bitch sounds like a great rugby positions next to hookers, props and flankers. Time to invent a 17-a-side with a 4th row!
  2. I greeted the Devil this morning by punching him in the face. Monday morning workout. The best kind of workout.
  3. Now I know what the random exercise bag means! Cool idea Tagging along to cheer you on! (Also I also just watched all of Star Wars before seeing the new one and am as mindblown as you are. I had only seen 1, 2 and snippets of 4/5/6 because my dad and brother would watch them together and I missed out on all the fun. Awesomeawesooooome!)
  4. Me tooo! We don't have three days of Christmas for no reason. Finally some time to binge the extended versions! On topic: started off this challenge by jumping out of bed, singing, into the home gym and doing a lil' workout. Hoo! I'm slaying Stamina this week, ladies and lads.
  5. Here to support my hooker! (What? Don't tell her mother.) Very nice story Maegs, and with you on the sleepy routine. I'm trying to go to bed earlier too - and trying also to not dick around on my phone while I should be trying to sleep. Same goes for the morning: I could be out waaaay earlier if it wasn't for phonely distractions. <333333333! It's so close for me, yet so far...
  6. Haaa! I recently did play hooker when our opponents lost their hooker. I was taller than both my props "Can you go any lower?" "No, sorry, my legs are in the way" :> (We rofflestomped them as we arrived at their club with 28 girls and they had only 13 ) Front row really is my happy place - and we're a damn hot bunch!
  7. You're throwing babies off cliffs? You brute. (Hurray! Wednesday!)
  8. Maegs! My fellow front rower! Doing my happy dance! I'm a prop ~ loose or tight, I swing both ways. I'll support you, my hooker! Northern hemisphere here, the Netherlands never get quite cold and snowy, so rugby is considered a winter sport. Starts september, ends in April/May. There's a two week winter break for the holidays. Yeeee so excited to find another fellow rugger!
  9. Someone melted the One Ring and processed its ashes into foods that now lie in my cupboard. The precious is calling me to open up the cupboard door, luring me in, whispering to me. As I type now, my back to the kitchen cabinets, I can feel its attraction. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsqWQjyFiGg Staaahp. Pleaaase. (Oh crap - I had a different theme). I open the cupboard door - and in it is Admiral Akbar. I return to my laptop and continue my homework. Mindful eating ~ the pull from the Dark Side Today all went well with food until after dinner. Usually I have big cravings around 4PM, but due to a late (and big) lunch, they didn't show up until dinner time. Perfect. I prepared a stuffed portobello (curtesy of my bf's work at the green grocers) and a courgette-paprika soup. The second part of dinner wasn't quite to my liking and when I felt like I had enough, I stopped eating and flushed the rest down the toilet. Half an hour later, I was hungry. Happy though I was that I didn't overeat - the portion was too small. I ate a banana and some blueberries. The boyfriend left to visit his mother. I was doing my homework. The cravings came. Now that I was alone, the cupboard was unsupervised. I could open it and steal a cookie and no one would know, nobody but me. I remained seated. The cupboard whispered. I told it to shush. It was silent. Then whispered again. I got up and pulled open the door, staring hungrily at its contents. NO. Closed it again. Remembered the mindful eating. Why do I want food? HUNGRYYY. What did I just walk away from? My homework. Why do I want food? ... Maybeeee... Distractions? From the homework? Why? Fear of messing up the homework. Not enough time to finish homework. Too many distractions. I want to calm myself. This might be a struggle throughout the next week. But, in all, Day 0 was a good trial day. I have high hopes for this challenge!
  10. Do not let go of the kettle bells, I repeat, do NOT -.. It's like releasing your Wii remote, but worse.
  11. Ye gods, such cliff hangers. If I understand correctly, we'll have to wait till next Sunday for the next instalment? It's Game of Thrones all over again.
  12. I ALMOST MISSED THE BEER TALK! RUNNING INTO THE PUB. This made me very happy and then very sas as the Netherlands are quite a few miles from Canada :c Wishful thinking: Mayyybe Gollem has this? (Beer café in Amsterdam) They serve an IPA called Precious and it is ... precious. <4
  13. Ah! Happy to see Scotty is live! Looking good, dear sir. And so does your challenge.
  14. I'm not sure about it yet ~ I think I would like to do a Viking Run but am still a bit timid about the whole obstacle part (and will I come over them). And if I am to do a run, I think I will go for the hills edition, as it is just that much closer. Going to somewhere in the vicinity of Nijmegen depending solely on public transport just seems to be a bit of a hassle. Amsterdam, though.. well - I practically live there! Mr_willes, as you've done this run with buddies, I was wondering: do you need to go with a group to conquer the obstacles? Or is it something easily done going solo?
  15. Yeah, my hopes are high! This light sabre, to me, sounds more flop flop than zheng zheng (or how would you type down the non-euphemistic sounds or a light sabre?) It's really pretty cool and I enjoy the story! The 15s run/1 min walk just didn't do it for me. Feels too much like a stop start ~ but I'll keep at it! I absolutely loved the intro run, when old runner 5 is "right behind you!" and I was running as fast as I could, all the while thinking oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck! Ruuun! Man, I hate zombies (still a bit unsure what all these zombies are doing on Jakku). Ugh, such skills of the Photoshops I possess!
  16. That makes me feel safe and protected. Thank you Rab <4 Thank you Terah! Fun times are ahead. Thank youuu! I ran into them and immediately decided to add those questions. I've done it before a few years back and it helped me get more mindful about what I eat. Sadly, it's been ages and I don't remember a thing of these things! Slipped to the dark side, I have. Time to question the cravings. Hurray! I'll be sneaking in and out of your thread too, fellow cyclist!
  17. Last night's tip of the boyfriend to "try and run before breakfast. You'll run on your reserves, but you have enough of those" was met only by a skeptic frown. Regardless, in the morning I gave it a try ~ and it was fine! It's the start of the Zombies, Run! c25k - A bit too easy, with a start-stop 15secs run, 1 minute walk making me cold rather than feeling like I had a proper work out. Still, it was good to be out. In the ten minutes free form I gave it a good shot on some longer runs, but the start-stop was in my system now. Altogether I did a 3,5km run. Meh Time for some tinkering on my bike, so I can cycle to uni! Tomorrow night I'll pick up rugby practice at the new club again. I moved recently - and though I really want to finish the season with my old club 2 hrs away, I also want to get to know the ladies that I'll be playing with next season. So far I've done one training there and absolutely loved it, but December was busy and stressful, so I stalled practice until January. A bit nervous, as I haven't had much practice, but the team was so positive and motivated last time that I'm sure I'll have a great time with them once I feel comfortable with this new environment. Aaaaah 2016. Here's to fresh starts.
  18. Character Name: Tolsi Underhill Alignment: Chaotic Good Race: Halfling Class: Rogue (a burglar, you need? ;-)) Occupation: Cook Character skills: Slight of hand, acrobatics, stealth, sneak attack, investigation, changing identity (very good at playing a human child, for instance), fishing (and fishy preparings), skiing, swimming, fixing up garments, knitting General Knowledge: Can sing songs about most lands/kingdoms/peoples in the realm. If not: will improvise. Weaponry: A shit ton of daggers and charm. Cons: Really bad at reading maps. Feats: Strength: Add my circuit (squats, kettle bells, etc) after my zombie run. Agility: Sprint sprints until shin splints! (okay - maybe not that far). Stamina: Do 7 work-outs this week (a mix of rugby practice, running, circuit training at home gym) Ranger Class: Record an overheard conversation ~ drawn out +/ written on paper. Who knows what details I might spy out of my victims when I plan my next raid? About Miss Underhill: This lady has managed quite a bit of mischief in her short life. The Shire's just too small for her! She's been a vagabond in a small caravan, joining the crew as cook, filling bellies from hungry men and women on her travels. Probably a bit too feisty for her own good.
  19. I know we talked about this, but.. When is your first Viking run, rabbit?
