  3. Thank you Jacob! So.. this is my last day that I was eating chocolate or grain. In 5 weeks is a ball i want to go to. And I know if I don't feel comfortable I gonna find an excuse and stay at home instead. Because of this I now add "a day without chocolate and grain" as KILL. Increase needed kills from 15 to 20. At the end of every month I wonder what I needed all the money for. I add "didn't write down bills" as DEATH.

Had a great time and also was eating healthy (some grain but barely mentionable) but there are too many deaths because of drinking too less water and not writing down the bills.   5. There is a forum for the holiday mini challenge but it's separated in subforums so I will simply use this thread to do my mini challenge. It's so to say a test run of my new rating system. This mini challenge starts on the 25th of December and ends on the 5th of January what is a time span of 12 days.   6. So. Challenge is over. Of course this was a failure. Nevertheless it helped me and I'm convinced in the next one I will do better.
  7. Didn't play! Was hanging out with friends when one suggested to play mw2. Of course I joined. Everyone forgot about the bet It didn't count Hanging out with friends - what I did then I rewrite that -> "What should you study at the moment?" ;D Haven't started yet altough the electronics exam is on the 7th of January
  8. I really need people around me motivating me. At the moment I am so on the verge of installing steam and dota and play again. I lose the bet, have to pay a beer crate, I am mad at me because I didn't resist and I lose lots of time because of playing. You see, I am conscious of what backing down means. Nevertheless I cannot motivate myself for studying or going out. I am sleeping at least 15 hours a day and am more tired than when sleeping less.
  9. Nice vid! Dizziness was gone the following day - after a big "meat-breakfast". Had some grain and chocolate the last few days but this only strengthened my opinion that it's really miserable stuff and I don't want it xD Cooked risotto with salmon filet today. Was easy to do, cheap (except for the salmon) and sooo delicious. Will do this more often and maybe skip the salmon to make it cheaper, it's not necessary anyways haha. The recipe: Cook 200 g rice in 1/2 l stock plus 1/8 l white wine (maybe also some lemon juice). If wanted add some salmon (cut into pieces, salted and sprinkled with lemon juice and white wine) and let it braise (?) for about 5 minutes more. When served add fine chopped parsley and pepper.
  10. Reading this I feel happy for your children to have you as a mother. You can tell by reading your texts that their wellbeing is sooo highly important to you and it means so much to you to see them being happy. It is remarkable how hard you try to give your best and I know that this is not at all easy. I'm a very lazy and testy person and I have great respect for persons like you!
  11. That's a weird day. Have a feeling of dizziness since the morning. Fell asleep in the morning again because of feeling so weak and tired also and slept till midday. Then watched "The Unit" till now. Except the one hour in which I drove to the grocery store buying some food and then doing the cooking. Can't motivate myself for studying though I really really should. Lazy SinisterCurse.. lazy lazy..
  12. Things are going fine. Still eating no grain, no chocolate but I still haven't been to the gym. Also drinking to less and when I do it's orange juice or coke. And at the moment I wished to be able to play Dota and drink a beer.
  13. Still haven't been to the gym but also still ate neither chocolate nor grain. The funny thing about it is that it's not even hard for me to not eat it. I am feeling so much better now living without that stuff that I'm scared eating those foods would ruin it. Compared to Dota it's like spending money on the wrong items. Yesterday I was bored and did some body squats, hammer curls and such stuff just for fun. Had trouble doing the body squats withouth falling backwards and still doing it right but with the repetition it got better and better.
  14. Didn't make it to the gym. Today I received some chocolate as gift because of "St. Nicholas Day". Was really hard fighting off the wish to eat it. But I made it. Also ate no grain today. I ate meat, nuts, raisins, eggs and tomatoes filled with mozzarella, onion and the tomatoes flesh. Now I know the writer of the receipt really didn't mean the "mozzarella" as he or she wrote in it but feta.
  15. Ate no chocolate since monday and also no grain since tuesday. It's friday morning 07.15 am now and I enjoy my meat breakfast. I will take the next bus and visit the gym. Since monday there were so many situations I nearly grabbed a cookie or some chocolate. I am so happy that I never did. Feeling healthier along those few days and feel more comfortable in my skin than before.
  16. You don't say?? Haven't tried that till now. Maybe I'll start playing it in March, when all exams are over and I'm allowed to play again. Know the ""Skyrim meets Equilibrium"" song? In my opinion it's amazing. Very well said! I will stick to it! =]
  17. Yesterday evening I cooked some pieces turkey meat. Today in the morning I warmed it up and ate it as breakfast. There I recognized that I had spiced it too much and I had to drink lots of water to be able to eat it Then I packed my stuff and drove to the gym. Achievement, Crosstrainer: 15x0,5 + 60x0,8 + 30x1,0 = 90,4 Points (This is for me to get an overview of what I achieved, minutes x (difficulty level / 10)) While waiting for the bus I was so hungry and feeling sick I went to a store, bought a pack 'nuts and raisins' and started eating them. At home I fell on the couch and ate up that whole pack (200g) . I was sooo tired and suddenly freezing like crazy. Crawled into bed and watched one Episode of "The Unit" after another. Guess this is my new addiction after Dota
  18. The following again looks like MUCH but it's sooo much less than how I started. For the three following weeks: Rule #2 combined with "The Vague Nabulator". First week: substitute chocolate by nuts or sweet fruits like grapes Second week: every second day grain foods get substituted by meat Third week: visit the gym three times, doing two hours of stamina training every visit Rule #10 combined with "The "I'm Too Busy" Liar. Everytime I am like the "I'm Too Busy" Liar, I get a "Death". "The Army Of One" The bet about the gaming is working very great. To have some guys supporting each other so that everyone reaches his goals would be great for sure. I will read threads of other "first challengers" every now and then. As I saw some minutes ago there is really great stuff being written in here giving oneself so much motivation also. "The Underpants Gnome" I have collected so many informations and ideas now and still fall back to old habits again and again. It's time to simply use it. Everytime I do sth out of my "Idea Box" I will get an "Assist". Rule #11 I welcome the challenge. I will repeat this sentence everytime sth has to be done. Stand up in the morning. Do the preparation for laboratory. Visit the gym. I will repeat and repeat it, smile and kick it off.
  19. So. Three weeks are over. Three weeks are left. I will have a new start and continue that challenge until the next challenge starts. Now I know I wanted to achieve too much at once. I should have known better - having read the "Mistakes Newbies Make" and how to cut them out and the "Rules of Rebellion". I have ingored expecially following rules: Rule #2 Slow and Steady -> Small changes on a daily basis Rule #10 Anybody who says they don't have time for exercises either lying or lazy. Rule #11 We welcome the challenge. Reading through my summary of the "15 Misktakes Newbiew Make" I felt like I should bring those more into focus: 2) The Vague Nabulator There are no benchmarks to compare to, no milestones to celebrate and measure against. 6) The Army of One Wants to be healthy but decides to do it alone. 12) The "I'm Too Busy" Liar Blame their lack of a healthy lifestyle on a busy life. 15) The Underpants Gnome They continually collect "underpants" but never move on to the crucial Phase 2: putting all the knowledge into action.
  20. Hello Liberator! Your first post on this thread sounds so amazing I simply had to read everything It's awesome reading what you already managed and how great you keep it going. Hope you stay motivated and continue like that! Coz we know life will be even more awesome when we get used to those food and activities wich makes us feel better. Wish you all the best!
  21. At the moment I could be lying in bed and cuddling with the guy I like sooo much. But nooo. I was so lazy this forenoon I didn't went to the local store to get some glutenfree stuff to eat and simply ate all that cereal and bread stuff that was at home. Now I am alone, too tired to study and feeling miserable because of all that non-glutenfree food I ate. I am so angry with myself.. To sum up the last days. Since saturday evening my life is going on really great in contrary to what it was before. On friday and saturday (except the evening) I was only playing Dota. On saturday evening I was invited to see a gospel chor with that genius friend I talk about so much. I had to be at his house at 6 pm. At about 04.30 pm one of the Dota games was over and I suddenly realized I havn't done anything for university these to days and nothing else useful. I was so angry I deleted all the gaming stuff from my laptop while I was eating sth. before getting ready. When I told my friend about what I've done (the deleting of all the game stuff) while we were driving to the concert he first didn't believe me. Then I said that I bet I won't play any computer games till February. If I don't make it he gets a beer crate from me and if I do I get that beer crate from him. So today is the fourth day without any gaming and I am really glad I set that bet. Already on sunday after work I realized how much I have missed to do for university and that time is running out. Also since that day I work without setting plans. I did plannings for every little thing in my life for many many years now and it seems like I do much better without them.
  22. Days 5 to 8 Oh guys... I've messed it up completely. Eating many food containing glutten, playing many rounds of dota, neither doing anything for angry birds nor visiting the gym. I obtained one kill after another. There were not only bad things. I was spending time with a friend - watching films and going out for a drink and I was learning very many hours (what was really frustrating). To guess the amount of kills, deaths and assists of the days 5 to 8: Kill: the many hours I've been learning (some of them intense without any disturbace) Death: all of the negative stuff written above Assist: spending time with a friend and also went out K-D-A: 5-25-2 What has happened cannot be undone.   23. Day 4 That was a daaaamn miserable day.. When I came home in the morning "the family stuff" went on. I got really mad, and in the forenoon I was so tired and frustrated I just wanted to eat and play Dota (ate some pieces of cooking chocolate, two fried eggs, some slices of sausage with cheese and I played one round Dota). I wasn't able to motivate myself for doing the dishes. I really was surprised that I made it to the first lecture (for fear of Death), and what surprised me even more was that I listened diligently, writing down very many notes and gathering the information like crazy. After that lecture we would have had a "tutorial" but I cannot stand the way the lecturer is teaching, so I decided to take the next bus home. Arriving at home I knew my mother would be going wild because I haven't done the dishes. I entered the frontdoor, rushed into my room, ate the tuna-salad I bought that day and tried to study. Of course my mother came in very angry some minutes later. I took flight to the rooms I got at my grandma's house but having arrived there drove back to pick up my brother and drive him to work. Back at my grandmother's house I ate the small choclate bar and a banana I bought that day and then played 3 rounds of Dota with my colleagues. When I had to pick up my brother again and drive him home I also stayed at home then. At home I ate a mozzarella, a bread with butter and nutella and then one of the small chocolate bars containing gluten and then fell into bed.   24. Day 3 The third day.. a very, very long day. Stood up at 5.45 am, packed my BentoBox with two hard-boiled eggs, some carrot salad and seedless grapes. I also poured three cups of coffee in a thermos bottle and filled up my water bottle. I had to carry three bags (laptop, sports gear, university stuff). The first lecture was again from 8 to 10.30 am. In the breake at 9 am I ate the grapes. Then I was learning at university until 1 pm. Meanwhile I ate some of the carrot salad and one of the eggs. Afterwards I headed to the gym. I did 60 min on the CrossTrainer, again starting at difficulty level 5 and doing one difficulty level up every 10 minutes. After stretching and a short pause I tried out something similar. I guess it can also be called a CrossTrainer but it's more like doing steps and you can vary the width of the steps - I will call that thing "the Stepper" now. That stuff gave me so much more trouble than the other CrossTrainer I would have liked to end immediately again. Nevertheless I wanted at least one star for it so I tried to reach the 30 minutes. Still can't believe it but I made it. I really thought I would fall off that stuff before the 30 minutes were over and I was like "oh three minutes left!", "two minutes!!", "one minute, hell yeah!!!", "10, 8, 7, ..." Then again stretching and doing a pause. I thought, only 1,5 h that's too little I have to do more. Again got on the CrossTrainer I usually use but after 10 minutes I gave up, went stretching again and headed back to university. There I met a friend by chance with whom I was talking till the next lecture started. At 5.10 pm this second lecture (6 hours 35 minutes break for me) started, the teacher came in and handed out some choclate bars to everyone because the lecture was that late. I was very hungry but too scared of getting a "Death" why I didn't eat them. After the lecture I again had to wait for the bus where I ate the rest of the salad and the egg. When I came home (8 pm) I fell into my bed, just wanted to sleep. Wasn't that easy because I wasn't able to sleep at home, slept at a friends house due to this and haven't got much sleep there.   25. Day 2 That day I got up early enough to fill my bottle of water and drink a coffee in the morning. I visited the lecture (8 - 10.30 am), got the next coffee during the break at 9am. When the lecture was over I looked for hat while waiting for a bus. I didn't find any I'd have bought and because there was still some time remaining before the bus was leaving I headed back to university and ate the apple i bought the day before. When I came home I felt very hungry suddenly and ate some slices of sausage with spread cheese, two fried eggs and two apples gratinated with glutenfree flour (buckwheat flour). The gratinated apples were so much I ate it every now and then till the evening. Besides all the eating I played one round Dota and studied for university. In the evening I realized I haven't done anything of the angry birds and to avoid a "Death" I did Body Weight Squats - 30 in 2 sets - and Hammer Curls - 40 in 2 sets. Both would be worth three stars but because I was so damn tired already I guess I haven't done it accurate enough and give myself only one star for each.
