  1. Hi!! I'm here and following and stuffs. Fair warning, I'm the world's worst at following challenges. Apologies in advance. Otherwise, I love what you've got here. Don't go insane (at work)!! Insane in the mud is fine though. They haven't officially announced next year's Missouri Tough Mudder, but the "official" rumor is that it'll be at Hidden Valley in St Louis. That's a ski slope! So get your hiking shoes on!
  2. I love that you wrote in his being ashamed of his heritage!!! That's so often an overlooked option in character backstory. Even better that it's a Green Dragon heritage, the most conniving and scheming of all the Chromatic Dragons. For what purpose was Vulluin conceived by this unknown Ancient Green Dragon?! --- As he watched the dealings at the table across the room, Oramac pondered his next move. Tienne seemed set on a goal, and though he knew not what it was, he suspected that it might a threat to his homeland, which was reason enough to follow her. Easing off the wall, he followed her down the stairs to the main room, taking up a position in a corner where he could see everyone clearly, but not be easily seen himself. As the beautiful Drow began setting up, Oramac saw the now familiar unsettled feeling of the bar patrons. Sensing the Drow might be in danger, for she had done nothing wrong that Oramac knew of, he quietly pushed off the wall and reached towards the Greatsword sheathed on his back. But, upon overhearing the tavern keepers words to Tienne, and the singing of the Drow, he realized she would be in no danger here. Sidling back to the wall, he kept a sharp eye on Tienne, only moving to follow once she left. --- Sweet! Here ya go!
  3. Thank you! I was hoping to give him a kind of Punisher-Lite feel. Because I absolutely love the idea of a Punisher style Paladin, and freakin never get to play one.
  4. Oh hey! Take a look at the likes here Puck.
  5. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I fucking love your D&D games. You have no idea. Oh! This I can do for sure! Name: Varis Dawnshadow Gender: Male Age: 33 Race: Protector Aasimar Class: Vengeance Paladin (the best defense is a good offense) Note: I totally didn't see the shield in the pic I posted. He uses a greatsword and no shield. Personality/Backstory: Varis Dawnshadow, born as a human to loving parents in the great city of Waterdeep, always loved the idea of protecting his family. He began training with whatever weapons he could find when he was very young, often without his parents permission. Though he greatly cared for his family and the people around him, his sense of duty towards them and an unfailing drive to protect them made him somewhat gruff to deal with. Shortly after his 18th birthday, while walking the streets of the Market District in Waterdeep with his parents, they got lost and found themselves in a run down, ramshackle area of town. Not knowing which way to go, the family began flitting from street to street, though not quite able to find their way. After a time, Varis felt an uneasy sensation, and was not surprised when they were confronted by thugs in the alley. After a brief exchange of words, the thugs attacked the family to take their fine clothes and what gold they had on them. His father, in an effort to protect Varis and his mother, stepped in front of the men, taking a fatal blow from the beginning. Watching his father fall, Varis leapt into action, but being younger and less experienced than the thugs, he was quickly defeated, and watched as his mother was slain as well. Succumbing to darkness as the thugs literally took the clothes off their backs, Varis saw a great light and felt a searing pain in his head. "It is your time, my son", a deep booming voice said, "You are to venture out into the world. Seek out that which would slay the innocent, defile to pure, and harm the helpless. Seek it out and destroy it."
  6. I agree. They look really good!
  7. Okie dokie! Here ya go. Well done puck!!
  8. WOOT! Go Puck! Idk what I'm supposed to do as the resident Dark Paladin, exactly, but I'm cheering for ya! (Or being encouragingly asshole-ish, if that's more in-character)
  9. Got room for another Paladin? This one a bit more on the ragged edge than most? Also, kill that damn Terrasque!! You know what I'm talking about!
  10. I'm coming in late here, as usual, but y'all, Maigahane kicked some serious ass at the Mudder! She deserves some applause for sure. She tackled and tried everything like a champ, and really did amazingly well! I'm proud of her. Also, @Maigahane, the course next year has been confirmed to be at Hidden Valley! Come on down for some rougher terrain!

Ha. You're probably right. It really does help to have that, but it definitely makes posting here less likely. Yea. I used to post every day at my old job I hated, so I wanted to try to do that again. I guess I just need to realize that's not viable now and shoot for a different time frame. Sounds like a really smart, cool, guy! Ha! Well......something like that. I like nerd mind. That's awesome.

    Oramac - Return

Hi!! So I last posted on Saturday. It's not Thursday. I feel like it's safe to say I've failed miserably on the "post every day" goal. lol. Anyway, yesterday was Leg Day! And I have a pseudo-date tomorrow night. So that's exciting. The workout was ok. Not great. Everything just kinda felt off. Squats: 1x3, 1x2 215. These were HARD! I damn near bailed on the third rep of the first set. Sumo Deads: 1x5 275. Grip failed pretty hard for no good damn reason, and I felt my form breaking down, so I opted not to go for another set. Single Leg Leg Ext: 3x10 60. Meh Leg Curls: 3x10 90. I think? Don't remember. Anyway, also meh. Lateral Band Walk: 3x20. They happened. Ab Rollout. Meh. Stretching. Meh.
  13. Damn right! I (almost) always try to play a paladin in games, and always end up not being able to. It makes me sad.
  14. Good plan puck! Can't wait to see you kick ass this week.

Thanks y'all. These steps are taking some time, but they are happening. In other news, I did a workout yesterday. Deads: 1x5 330. New PR! I've never gotten 5 reps in one set at that weight before. Yay. Front Squats: 1x3 145. Another PR. This felt really good. Good Mornings: 1x5 95. I'm never really sure I'm doing these right. DB Farmers Carries: 2x down and back 70 pounds per hand with Fat Gripz. These also felt better than normal. Abductors/Adductors: 3x10 135. Tough, but doable. Foam Roller/Stretching.
  16. YES!! Use your strong emotions!! WOOT!! Looking great! Hey you's! Grey Sith is definitely a thing! It's me, dammit! My Sith character has always been Grey Sith.
  17. Ok. This time..... I agree with ObaxTM Yes. Absolutely yes. I find it interesting your views on side quests. I'm exactly the opposite. I have to psyche myself up to even do side quests, and sometimes feel like I'm losing out of the game if I detour from the main story. This is why getting 90-something percent completion in ME:A was a huge deal for me.

Ok y'all. Another update here. I'm still doing really bad at posting every day. But otherwise things are ok. Yesterday's workout in spoilers. Ok. So that's that. Also, I went for a 2 mile run today to see where I stand in relation to the Army's 16 minute requirement. Short version is, I need some practice. The 16 minute timer expired after I'd finished about 75% of the run. I did walk a couple times, so I feel like if I just ran the whole time I'd make the time limit. Also, I would die. But, details. One more thing I'm ready to announce. Some of you may already know, but I've started selling firearms accessories on Amazon. WOOT! The goal here is, ultimately, to eventually be able to quit my day job and work for myself. But I'm just now starting out. Currently, I've only got one product live on Amazon, which is a set of 45 degree offset iron sights for an AR15 (or anything with a picatinny rail). Currently I'm in the stage of the game where I need to get reviews on the product. This is a really short paragraph for what is a REALLY REALLY big endeavor for me. But yea. I'm excited and scared at the same time!
  19. Hmm. I feel like someone else has told you this before too. Who could it possibly be?!

    Oramac - Return

Hey y'all! So........I'm really bad at this whole "post every day" thing. Anyway, here's a post because I remembered! Friday's workout went well. In spoilers for no good reason. In other news! I went to talk to the Army recruiter on Thursday. Turns out I need to get a "Meritous Waiver" if I want to go in as an officer, since I'm technically over the age cutoff. It's doable, but a LOT of paperwork, plus getting a bunch of letters of recommendation and crap. Plus getting a security clearance, which is another 30 pages of stuff on top of all that. So the process is started, but tedious.
  22. Are you freakin kidding me?! Those are not bad! Stop saying you're bad at this stuff! I mean, sure there's improvements that could be made, but damn puck, those are a fantastic first draft. Give it a few revisions and you'll be a master. Also, it only took me bugging you for what, a year, before you finally tried the lycan?
