  1. Ok, so I've been a musician since I was 2 years old... That's 20 years. I also suffer from PTSD, depression, anxiety & ADHD (the ADHD is generally mental activity based). I just want to know if anyone else can simultaneously have multiple pieces of music in their head? This is a bit more than an "earworm" which is just a song you can't get out of your head. Sometimes the music in my head (it's not a hallucination, it's not like I can *physically* hear it) is a full symphony and a rock tune or a pop song and it kind of naturally syncs or undergoes keychanges to make musical sense... Sometimes it's a song I'm pretty sure I haven't heard or I've just made up. It gets pretty overwhelming and exhausting sometimes. Anyone else get this?
  2. I have longish (currently platinum) hair that I decided to give a trim to after several vodkas the other night... Put it in a ponytail and just cut off the ends then turned the scissors to face the hair (think a straight line) and had a few short snips to make it less blunt... Thankfully it turned out ok. If you're going to do your own hair, I recommend sobriety and taking it slowly - you can always take more off later.
  3. Hi again! Shiz got crazy when the show started and my wrist-elbow-shoulder issues came to light. I tried going to the gym but my injury kept niggling. Thankfully the show is over now (and I got through every show). I've been using the holidays as an excuse to rest for the last 3-4 days. Now I'm feeling fine again and it's back to business as usual. 3 days of drinking and eating whatever has certainly taken it's toll, but I'm keen to get this show back on the road before Jan 1st. Drinking my morning coffees now (though it's 1pm) and I have oats and a banana coming up and a gym sesh and all the rest of that stuff. Bad Wolf - I don't like doing measurements or weighing myself when I'm in this kind of neurotic mental place... I've suffered from eating disorders in the past and I know that right now if I had numbers I'd obsess. Maybe in the future, but yeah, not right now. I'm pretty stressed because I've got a TON of assessment due in 2 weeks that I haven't yet started.
  4. Sounds like you are doing really well! Keep up the hard work!
  5. Nope - I live in Australia so it's a serious non-issue. The eating well is kind of 50/50 sadly but I'm making sure to get my gym sessions in and trying super hard to get enough protein. I think I'm starting to see a difference in my thighs, which is usually the last place anything changes. How are you going?
  6. How is your study going? I've dropped one of my four subjects due to time restraints. I submitted one assignment on Sunday and I've got to do an online test before this sunday. I'm finding working out and studying good, my pre-workout is helping my focus a LOT.
  7. Kickarse session today, both strength then cardio. I'm not sure I'll be able to walk (or move much) tomorrow - I feel like a human bruise! I do feel good about it though. Got to study then have a rehearsal tonight, I just hope I have the energy lol
  8. Nah, I'm a vegetarian not a picky eater! So no fish (or anything that is dead animal). Have been really tired since I got off my ADHD meds so today I went and picked up a pre-workout called 'BeautyStrong Pre-Workout Matrix'. Usually I'd be hesitant to pickup anything with such a stupid "female friendly" name but I had one today (Mango-Peach flavour) before my strength session and I feel a lot better, definitely more focussed and able to cope, less fatigue in my muscles. The cross trainers were occupied though, being peak hour, so I'll have to go back a bit later to do my cardio. (I don't like bikes and I'm not supposed to run because my kneecap likes to fall off lol)
  9. So I got 2 strength session in last week but this is how yesterday looked: Got up at 5am, watched Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary Special at the gym, so spent 75 minutes on the treadmill. Left the house at 9am with a heavy bag and my viola case to go to a 7 hour rehearsal for Phantom. Got home, had a nap and did an assignment. Very tired today but the assignment has been submitted. My neck and back are a bit tired and I feel bruised all over. Strength and cardio tomorrow!
  10. So I was pretty down yesterday, had cravings for bad potions but I got through it ok... Had a teary and some cuddles and a (little) chocolate which are always nice. To be honest I think it was hormone induced. Feel better today. Will clean up my apartment a bit and make it to the gym. I'm seeing a little more definition from certain angles which is always nice. Makes me feel like things are getting a bit better.
  11. Oops internet connection issues. Definitely feel better today! Also from certain angles I can see more definition in my body which makes me happy
  12. Well at least I'm getting some reading done for my assignment now... Now it's break time.
  13. Well at least I'm getting some reading done for my assignment now... Now it's break time.
  14. Yesterday was OK but today I'm feeling kinda depressed and unmotivated to leave the house, even for the gym or rehearsals. Don't want to study. I'm more in the mood for cuddles and TV
  15. I am so sorry to hear about your library situation! I hope the textbooks aren't too expensive (even though buying textbooks is like bailing out Greece!) Hehe... I'd use a kitchen table or a lounge if I had one. I've got a laptop, a chair, a bed and a tiny bit of floor (I live in a shoebox apartment. Frankly I'm lucky the fridge gets cold). Part of the challenge is that the internet doesn't work in bed, which is where I like to take (longhand) notes :/ Not too bad though, my mother-in-law has bought a tiny low table with enough space for a laptop and a lower shelf I can pop my printer on. Fingers crossed this should work! A strong back really is essential for us students! I had to walk the 5km to the library the other day and I had a backpack with my essentials... I spent the following day in bed I was so achey. Once I leaned over to kiss my husband on the head (with the backpack on) and I almost fell over! lol
