  1. I think this is a great challenge - the first one I have posted on....but I'm struggling at coming up with what I should use my 20 seconds of rage for. This may sound absurd, but I think I'm pretty comfortable pushing my boundaries and so nothing is coming to mind. Any ideas or suggestions?
  2. thanks! Yesterday I did something not strictly included in my goals but something that should have been. My friend and I threw 550 throws each for ultimate frisbee practice. I'm not sure how I should work that in to my goals as I have at least one game a week and afterwards I generally don't want to work towards any other goals. It is quite possible that it will help towards my sprinting and mile times but is less measurable.
  3. So I'm pretty good at working out and eating well but I've never recorded it. Goal 1 - record everything, this will help with all my other goals. Goal 2 - eat as Paleo as possible while watching the amount I spend on food. Goal 3 - train parkour once a week, train for everything else every other day. Goal 4 - Everything else training is defined below and is the hardest part. Goal 4.1 - get as close to a 1 armed pull-up as possible. Be able to do 22 pullups in a row. Goal 4.2 - be able to run a mile in under 6 minutes (don't know what my current time was but before ankle surgery it was around 6:30). Goal 4.3 - consistently achieve press ups into handstands. Get a press-up from sitting, not crow pose. Goal 4.4 - achieve 2 free standing HSPUs and 10 wall supported HSPUs. Goal 4.5 - increase broad jump by 3 inches - don't know what it is yet I'll measure it. Goal 4.6 - be able to sprint 100 meters 10 seconds faster than before.
  4. I would love to run a race. I haven't run a 5k since highschool and now that I've had time to get in shape after my ankle surgery I'd be pumped to meet up with yall. I live just outside DC on the MD border.
  5. So I've been learning and practicing parkour for a good while now, with a large number of set backs due to ankle sprains (from playing ultimate frisbee). I had surgery to correct that. Now I'm back on track to getting and staying in shape - the shape I want to be in. Some goals I have are 1 armed pull-ups, 1 armed push-ups, all kinds of press ups, a 10ft. broad jump, and a higher vert ( I haven't measured it). I have tons of trouble eating enough to put on muscle mass and will start eating Paleo in August (although my ethics make it sad when I eat meat). Also lots of meat is corn fed which isn't how we evolved to eat. I know a good deal about parkour and would gladly give advice on that, as well as what I can on backpacking, ultimate frisbee, and bouldering/adventure running. Happy to have found this site! -Aaron
