  7. Adventure Quest: The Prequel Is your overall quest achievable (over a short or long period of time)? Is it reasonable? Quite achievable, yes, if i keep doing my goals everyday. Training, reading, and keeping active in Lumosity/Duolingo should keep me busy about 3 hours per day. Do your 3 main goals all build towards it in little ways, or are you taking on too much? I've tried to make this challenge more fun for me. Last challenge i did that exact mistake. Now, i am taking things lightly, not expecting too much progress, and not killing myself in the process. The "making friends" quest would be pretty hard for me, though. Are your main goals realistic? Can you scale them to smaller steps to fit your life better, even if it will make it take a little longer to achieve them? They look realistic. If i push myself harder, i could reach them in just 4-5 weeks, but i'd rather take it slow. Are your goals able to be measured and tracked? What will you use to track them? They are. Lumosity and Duolingo show my exp level, i'll be counting the new people i meet and have a long talk with, and at the end of every week i'll try to reach 90 push-ups. How are you grading your goals? Are they pass/fail (“every dayâ€, “not even once over the six weeksâ€)? Is there a reward for the effort, or are you only grading yourself on whether or not you “lose the weight†or “run the distanceâ€? I've chosen to make them Daily Quests, personal choice - it's easier for me to track the that way. I'll be grading myself on whether I complete my daily quests, not whether i've reached my goals. What is your plan for continuing/altering/grading those goals if you become ill or injured? No excuses. Training cures all. Did you take into consideration any special occasions (Passover, Easter, Cinco de Mayo, birthdays, anniversaries, etc) that may occur during the challenge? What modifications do you need to build into your goals for those? I'll have a few days, when i'd have to be out of town, or friends would be staying over, so i really woudn't be able to train normally. I guess i'd have to wake up early in order to not disturb them. Do any of your main goals conflict with each other? Will one goal make it hard to do another? When i start talking with new friends, i lose so much time. My facebook would distract me from the important sites like Lumosity and Duolingo. It's very time consuming... Do you already have the time in your schedule to actually complete the goals you’ve set? If not, what are you planning to do to make time for them? Oh yes, i've tried that routine from a week now, and i dont have any problems. 3 hours a day is nothing, that i can't handle! Are you trying to build multiple habits, or is all your energy focused on your main quest? Multiple habbits. I don't really care if i reach 90 push-ups, or make so many new friends, as long as I get used to training everyday like i used to, and become more social and organised.   9. Hi, my name is Lex - 18y/o male from Bulgaria, 1.80m, 70kg, trying to improve myself even more. I train at home after i wake up, doing 5 cycles of 50 push-ups, 50 crunches, 30 squats, 12 curls and 30 dumbell side bends. Or run. Or do pull-ups at the bars outside. Or table tennis, LARP, whatever I feel like doing, just to keep myself active. I feel like an adventurer right now ;3 Main goals: - Raise my push-ups maximum from 80, to 90. - Reach lvl 10 in Duolingo, and increase my Lumosity BPI to 1200. - Make at least 20 new friends. Daily Quests: - Read one hour. +2 WIS - Listen to one new album of a new band +1 CHA - Visit Duoligno. +1 WIS - Visit Lumosity + 1WIS - Workout +3STR +2STA +1DEX +2CON +1CHA - Drink 2L of water +1 CHA Life Goal: - Expand my world view by reading new books, trying out new music, meet new people and learning French.

  11. Well, by that logic sleeping is also a great meditation! xD I guess i'll just drop that goal, meditation is not for me. Sorry i was too lazy to do my update these days. Anyway, quick recap. Saturday and Sunday, i took as rest days. Monday and Tuesdays i went to muay-thai. Today i went to the street gym, GOD, my biceps look huge after the gym. xD Aaand that's it. I'll try to get more on track with my regime.
  12. Xena, that's actually not half-bad idea... But breathing deeply when it's cold and humid... wouldn't that hurt my lungs or i'd catch a cold? Friday 10.01.14 Adventure goal: 1h walking, 2L water. Assassin goal: Stretched. Druid goal: I had some time today in uni, so i took and read from cover to cover the first part of Chronicles of Narnia. Read a book this week. Monk goal: Went to muay-thai. Life goal: Gathered all my needed signatures to finish this semester (a few hours of walking around and waiting in offices) Basicly, almost all my goals are completed, except meditation. I'll try to compensate tommorow.

Monk goal: Went to muay-thai (2 hours) 09.01.14 Thursday Adventure goal: 1 hour of walking. 3L water. Assassin goal: Stretched! Monk goal: Went to muay-thai (2hours). That's 3 times this week, the quest is completed. Scout goal: Ran a 5k in 25 minutes! WOHOO!!! Quest completed. Warrior goal: Lifted heavy for about an hour. That's the second time this week. Quest completed! Basicly, right now my only problem is the druid quest - meditation. I can't create the habbit of doing that shit in the morning, and at night i dont have the energy. Also, my attention span is so short, i have troubles meditating >.< But on the other hand, i had 3 training sessions today, my whole body is crying! It feels awesome PS, Kishi, i did exactly that today - punched people in the face when they were laughing in sparring xD

  15. Yesss! It's the sixth! Finally! Aaand well, i've gotten used to LARP, so i dont really feel it that hard. My enemies and the pupils I train tho... they sure complain a lot! I've been larping for just about 2 years now, and i heartz my shield! It's so hillarious when noobs start hitting your shield. It's like TAUNT, for lvl 1 creatures. *sigh in dreaming* noobs. Gotta love them. And thanks for all the support, guys! I am sure gonna need it ^^ Week one has begun! 06.01.14 Monday: Adventure goal: 3 hours of walking. 2L water. Assassin goal: Stretched, and tried to do a split. Druid goal: 20 minutes of meditating. Warrior goal: Lifted heavy at the gym. Life goal: Finally send my applications for a euroscollarship. Pretty much covered as much as I can for one day, considering i was at uni the whole day and had 3 exam, which i PWND. By the way, guys, I want to say this randomly! Yesterday i was doing pull-ups outside (what's that playground with lots of bars meant for training called in English?) so i decided to try something new i saw from Kickass 2. So... i did like 3-4 one-hand pull-ups (where the other hand is on your wrist, for ballance) It's pretty f*cking hard. Also, tomorrow i get back to muay-thai!
  16. Thanks, Xena! Awesome to see you in the new challenge. And yeah, the 5k i saw from you, my inspiration Well, Kishi, i am shield and sword kind of guy. Our LARP training is gathering in some park and beating the shit out of each other for a few hours hours. Don't let the LARP myths deceive you, it does hurt like a motherf*cker (i've had so many stabs in the eyes and neck yesterday ), and it's really exsausting. I am the one teaching the new man how to fight, so i have to take them 2 or 3 at a time. It's basicly sparring for 3 hours.

  19. Hi, monks. It seems i will be joining you for the next six weeks! My main wish is to become a monk by training muay-thai, but i will also try taking a little from every guild. Adventure goal: Go for at least 1 hour walk everyday.Drink at least 2litres of water per day. +1STA Assassin goal: Maximumly strech legs for at a few minutes minutes every morning. Try to do a split. +1 DEX Druid goal: Meditate and practice deep breathing every morning for 20 minutes. Read one book every week. +3 WIS Monk goal: Go to muay-thai 3 times a week. +3CON +2 STA Scout goal: Run a 5k under 25minutes once a week. +2 DEX Warrior goal: Lift heavy at the gym 2 times a week. +3 STR Life goal: Become more independent. Leave my comfort zone. Earn some money for myself. + ? HAPPINESS LET THE CHALLENGE BEGIN!
  20. Well, i took this weekend like a rest, with nothing too much, except a few hours of walking. Basicly i spent it playing videogames and nomnoming. It was a reward for the completed challenge! There were lots of ups and downs this six weeks. Level up! I've read a lot of books in this challenge and pretty much covered my quest for reading. +1 wisdom I've started muay-thai and going 3-4 times a week, getting my ass kicked. +1 constitution. I've walked a lot - to uni, to everywhere, walks with the baby etc. About 2 hours per day. +1 stamina I've also lifted heavy at the gym(or at home) about 2 times a week. +1 strenght So... what do i do now? We have to wait for the admins, to create new forums, right?
  21. Hmmm, thanks Xena, i'll check out the rolling moves, i've tried parkour before and enjoyed it, but i have no one to run and jump with now, so it's kind of boring. I could find someone to do that with, and try parkour for the assassin's quest. That's also a cool idea for a ranger - trying out a new activity... but what activity? o.o 20.12.13 Friday Walking - 1 hour. Studying - 2 hours. Muay-Thai - 2 hours. Walking - 2 hours. Lumosity.
  22. Yeah, that list is ridiculous! I consider myself to be strong, but i cant benchpress my own bodyweight even once! Also, deadlifts suck Oh well, everyone has to make their own benchmarks, right? As the article said - everyone has their own idea of healthy and fit. But with running i agree, 5k in 24 minutes is pretty good. Hope you make it next time you run

  24. Two inches off your waist, that's just amazing, dude! Good job! How much do you weight now? Oh, and try not to rush the dumbel weight increase, go from 35lbs, to 40. I do my stuff with 30-35 lbs dumbels, and i dont really want to increase it, because my face gets all read when i try too hard, and that's not pretty xD By the way... It's december, we all miss ice cream
  25. You know, Xena, i read somewhere in the forum, about something called "spartan requirements" or something like that. One of them was running 5k in 24 minutes. 3 miles is almost 5k, and you run that for 25 minutes. If you could run it just a little faster, you could actually be like them warrior princes and princesses! xD PS: I'm also seing the drop of posting. Even the Zombies Survival Group is not active. They're just training on their own, like they dont need the "you're doing great...keep going..." They know they're awesome! xD
