    ORazor Returns

Been traveling the last few weeks. Managed to get some decent workouts in. Was able to do 115x3 on OHP (barbell). Also recently deadlifted 245X5 extremely easily. Next week I start a new job where I can finally use barbells consistently! Also just commissioned a diet from a super knowledgeable trainer friend, so I'll be starting a two month cut. Time to officially lose the gut, so I start an epic bulk in the fall! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I made those 70s my BIATCH. Doing 5 sets of 4 is a huge PR. Even with that PR, I was able to then get a PR with 60s. For some reason my head looks super small in this pick. Must be because my muscles are so swole. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

God damn did I come close on the 5X5 with the 45s. Just couldn't quite do it. That definitely hit my AMRAP set. I did 3 less than last week. But I did 4 more with the 45s, so I think all can be forgiven! I can't wait to finally get a gym that I can do proper barbell OHP with (and squats and bench). I'll be testing 1RMs as soon as I do. Prediction: OHP: 130 B: 200 S: 240 DL: 325 That would put me more or less where I was 2 years ago. Considering I haven't been training for strength, that would be a good sign of how much mass I've actually added. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. Scree that noise. What industry is this? Finding a new job can be a pretty bleak thing - but it's worth it in the end! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Holy shit balls. Pull-ups are a lot tougher after heavy Pendlay Rows. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Leg day, baby. Doing squats holding onto 85s was pretty tough. Apparently my left hand lacks grip strength. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Push 1 Sets Reps Weight Total Reps Flat Dumbell Bench 5 3 70 16 Flat Dumbell Bench AMRAP 1 AMRAP 56 12 Seated Dumbell OHP 3 10 35 Incline Dumbell Bench 3 10 45 Standing Tricept Extensions 3 10 45 Shrugs 3 10 60 Lateral Raises 3 15 12 Close Grip Dumbell Press 3 10 40 So flat dumbbell bench was a bit of a shit show. My first time using 70s; I used 60's previously, but it was definitely time to move up. On my 4th set, when I laid back to get into the press position, the dumbbells got a little wide on me and I came pretty close to dropping them. I kinda pressed them together (almost like a fly), but once I was out of position it was tough to recover. 70's are really heavy, and that one moment of trying to wrestle the weights into the proper position really jacked up my strength for the rest of the workout. As a result, I never did the 5th set with the 70's, but I was able to do 4X4 previous to my issues. It's clear that I have the strength to press that weight, but I'm not sure I have the other muscles in order to control the weight properly, especially when I'm flopping back and hoisting the weights up all at once. I was pretty damn pleased with 12 reps using 60's for my AMRAP set, because I was still feeling the repercussions in my shoulders and pecs.

There's nothing unsafe, of course. But they do seem pretty horrible when it comes to check in, and they charge an arm and a leg for baggage. I've never been to NOLA, but I plan to!

  20. That's the spirit! The more you do, the better you will get!
  21. Awesome dude - keep strong and carry on!
  22. Pushups are one of those things that can either totally make you feel strong, or make you feel totally weak. I've been there, trust me. I've fallen on my face multiple times, where your arms literally fail you and you can't catch yourself. When you develop some more strength and you can do pushups easily (it'll happen, just trust me!), you will feel like a total boss. The beautiful thing about pushups is that you can get better at them. You just need to do epic amounts of them. Couple that with losing a little weight, and you'll find them soo much easier. I'd recommend doing pushups multiple times a day, even if it's just a couple. They add up, and your body will begin to adapt. I'm super pumped to see your already amazing progress. I look forward to following along on your journey!

OHP Push Day Push 2 Sets Reps Weight Total Reps Dumbell OHP 5 3 45 RPR 20 Dumbell OHP AMRAP 1 AMRAP 36 RPR 15 Flat Dumbell Bench 3 10 50 Incline Dumbell Bench 3 10 40 Standing Tricept Extensions 3 10 45 Increase Shrugs 3 10 60 Lateral Raises 3 15 12 Close Grip Dumbell Press 3 10 40 Increase The seated dumbbell OHP with the 45s was pretty damn tough, but I ground out 5 sets of 4 (20 total reps). That's a rep PR for me. I'd be tempted to try to move up to 50's next time, but I have to take the long view. Might be better to get 5X5 with the 45s first. Got a super pump from the accessory exercises (which, of course, is basically the whole point of doing a PPL program!). As I was able to get sets of 12 with the Triceps Extensions and Close Grip Press, I'll be increasing those too! Selfies soon!
