    Challenge Wrap up: Not Great. I failed to practice my music twice, and missed a week or two of CrossFit. But the food was worse. I think I need to rethink the tracking. It needs to optional. I hate, but know it is necessary from time to time to keep things in perspective. I like the low carb diet. It is will stay next challenge. But the tracking...hmmm. Crossfit needs to happen also. I just need to make the time. The weight is not coming off and it is due to poor planning. I know what I need to do. Grocery shop on Saturdays/Sunday for the work week and Thurs/Fri for the weekend. No more than 30g carbs per meal Only eat when hungry...emotions don't deserve food. CF 4x per week Study in my free time...all my free time. New habits and routines can be hard to form, but perseverance will win in the end. For me denying myself the food I love is a recipe for failure. So my motto has been "everything in moderation". This is something I tell my daughter when she says something is "bad". I need to practice what I preach. 1) Food Tracking and Calorie Watching 18.5 out of 32 days Fri-Sun Failed to track. Didn't totally blow the nutrition, but didn't stick with it either. -New goal definitions: Carbs <100g, Calories don't matter but <1700/day is preferred, No Cheats 2) CrossFit 10 out of 19 days Over slept CF Corner: 3) Education 19 out of 19 days Security+ Sunday Side Goals: 1) Take care of my skin morning and night. 32 out of 32 days Done 2) Practice my spanish and polish 3 times per week. I use duolingo to learn, it has a couple of apps so there is no excuse. 12 out of 15 days Sunday + Friday 3) Practice my piano or music reading 1 time per week 3 out of 5 days Nothing

    Thanks Terra. You are always so supportive. I feel like I have failed this challenge in so many ways. But really I think it is this funk of a mood I'm in. I have a lot going on and to do this well is really pretty good. I have taken on a lot. It is not surprising that I am in a funk. My goals are lofty, but achievable I think.

Got some stuff done 1) Food Tracking and Calorie Watching 18.5 out of 32 days Pass -New goal definitions: Carbs <100g, Calories don't matter but <1700/day is preferred, No Cheats 2) CrossFit 10 out of 19 days Barbell CF Corner: 3x1 Jerks (1st heavy with pauses, then at -10%) = 90# and 80# 1x1 heavy front squat with 3sec pause at bottom and 10sec pause at top, then 3x3 at 83% = 100# and 80# Upper/Core Superset: (3x10) DB Shoulder Press (15#) + Bird Dogs 3) Education 18 out of 19 days Security+ Side Goals: 1) Take care of my skin morning and night. 30 out of 32 days Done 2) Practice my spanish and polish 3 times per week.     Wednesday, Day 29: A day that brought mixed results... 1) I practiced my Polish 2) I reviewed Sec+ 3) I ate food, did not track it, and do not feel bad about it 4) Watched my kid do CF but did not do CF myself...again do not feel guilty at ALL. So here's what's up...My anxiety is as a high and I feel like I could cry and scream and hide from life all at the same time. So I took a break. It helped some, but I'm still not me today. I may need to temporarily have my sleep aid increased. It helps with anxiety too. I just couldn't bring myself to get ALL the THINGS done. Especially burpees in WOD. 1) Food Tracking and Calorie Watching 17.5 out of 32 days Nope and that is okay...oddly enough my blood sugar was stable all night. No highs, no lows, WTF right!     Hi All- If you have been following my challenges you will see not much has changed. I have added 1 new goal though. Studying for a certification exam. As some of you know I am extremely burnt out in my current job and the daily frustrations are taking a toll. This has been building for a year now and that is a good sign I need a change. My current career and education is very specific and makes it hard to change to a new company, not impossible, but I hear lots of poor things coming from employees of other places. I know there are things about all jobs folks don't like, but sometimes you just need a new list of things to complain about Just kidding. I have made the pros and cons list and the cons of my current position greatly out weight the pros. So off I go to get certifications, and then hopefully a career where there is room for growth. My life is pretty full with all this so I will give it my best. I want to have a great summer body AND mind! So I need to give it my 100%. 1) Food Tracking and Calorie Watching 0 out of 32 days Nothing fancy here just track it and watch those calories. I will not get to obsessed over the macros or a few too many calories, as long as it doesn't get crazy -I get 1 "free" non-tracked meal per week. - I use My Fitness Pal for tracking -Calories should be 1622 with a 125 calorie cushion for going a little over -I don't pass fail based on Macros but I shoot for carbs to be around 100g or less and protein goal is at 158g (0.9g/lb of body weight) 2) CrossFit 0 out of 19 days The goal is just to get to class. Barbell and a WOD work out can happen on the same day. -Get to a class 4x per week or more 3) Education 0 out of 19 days -Study for my computer certifications. I am attempting a career change into IT, so getting my security+ certification is the first step. I hope to be ready for the exam in 2 months. -Study at least 4x per week. -Actual first step is sign up on CompTia...Which I will do in the next few days.
