  1. Ate horibly today, and feel horible for it. Tomorrow will be better because I will make it so. For the first time in a long time I can invision myself as I use to be. If I can keep that vision and use it for good it will be a reality.

  2. I have myself mostly organized, I have read some of the NF eBooks with plans to read the rest I have, and am TOTALLY pumped. Lets Do This! Workouts: Use the Rebel Fitness Guide workouts starting with Level 1 Rookie. For my cardio I plan on using my Zumba and Turbo Jam DVDs/Wii games. Meal Plans for Mon-Fri, (weekends are always on the go, but cooking at home is a goal): Breakfast: hard boiled eggs, bacon, and a banana or Oatmeal, bacon, and a banana Lunch: Left over protein from dinner, venison brats, or chicken breasts with yogurt and an apple (or another fruit) Dinner: Some sort of protein with steamed or saute veggies, fruit, and maybe rice or a low carb/high fiber bread Snacks: Nuts, PB2, Grapes, Light Cheese Sticks Tracking Methods: I do not plan on counting calories, but I do track weight watchers points+ points (when I bother to write them down). It is my intention to start tracking them daily. Which I get 29 per day. They also have a device called the Active link that tracks your movement throughout the day and tracks your earned points for said exercise. This system will be my double check to make sure I am getting enough exercise in (you can set goals for the number of "active" points to earn per day I am set for 3pts per day which for me seems to be the equivalent of walking ~2.5miles plus my normal daily routine). Starting Measurements 12/5/13: Arm 12.5" (Both) Chest 42" Waist 41" Belly 43.5" (just below belly button) Hips 45" Thigh 26.3" ® 26.6" (L) Weight 186.4lbs %BF 40% (using my home body fat scale) Feel free to let me know if you see something that needs fixing. I am new to this and could use the help and advice. I will check in weekly with my progress. I weigh in every Thursday. Bonus goodness: #1) Lost .2lbs over the last 2 weeks. We did not have a weigh-in last week due to the holiday. I keep myself behaving well enough to not gain anything over Thanksgiving. #2) Attended my first holiday party today and stuck to plan. Ate my lunch before the party and ate only a half a cupcake (which was my plan). I felt SO GOOD!
  3. Hi All- I am new to NF. I will starting my first challenge Dec 28th when the next one starts. But I am actually looking for a group of fellow rebels to check in with weekly or daily for accountaibility. I need the support from others. Having some to "report" to can really help keep you on track you know! Please look up my profile and send me a message or a friend request. I would also be available daily on Facebook if you are interested in communicating that way. https://www.facebook.com/roxanne.k.wilson All I ask is that if you send a facebook friend request please also send a message saying you are from nerd fitness. My Goals are These: 1) Change my eating habits to healthier cleaner foods. I currently do not eat many veggies, but I do like my fruit. In this goal is to include more veggies with dinner. 2) Cut down on the diet soda. Currently I drink the equivalent of ~4 12oz cans a day. I would like to start by cutting that in half. 3) Build strength. From age 4-21 or so I learned ballet. I had quite a bit of lower body strength and flexibility. Since then I have lost a lot and I never had a lot of upper body. I had enough upper body to work as a vet tech and carry the dogs but that's it. I now carry my 30lb daughter and she feels heavy. I would like to not feel so weak. I also have ITBS in my left leg and weak quads. This also needs rectifying. My Ultimate Goal: I want to be back at 150lbs or less and see a % body fat of 25% or less. Thank you Roxanne
  4. I will certainly attempt the challenge. I was watching and hoping one was going to start soon. The 28th is a perfect time to start one. Just in time for those new years resolutions. I was just in the kitchen cooking some venison and turkey for lunches. I plan on sticking with my oatmeal and fruit for breakfast. Maybe I will make some bacon to go with it. Dinners may have to be made day to day for a while, but eventually I will make those ahead of time too. I have never been much of a cook, so this will be a new skill to learn too. I have heard about mashed cauliflower before. I have yet to try it. Maybe I will try it this weekend. Is sauteing veggies okay or is cooking in olive oil frowned down apon? I think if I could saute some veggies in olive oil with garlic or other seasonings I could stomach eating a few more that I do now. Thank you for the support
  5. Hi All- First about me...I am a 34 year old female married with a 2 year old daughter. I am also a type 1 diabetic. I am currently considered over weight with a % body fat of ~40%. I am 5'7" and 187lbs. Since my diagnosis in 2000 my weight slowly climbed then jumped drastically during pregnancy. I have struggled with mindless eating. Almost to the point of causing depression and feeling of being addicted to food. I failed myself so many times that I can't do that to myself again. This time I need a win! My goals...to learn to eat mostly paleo, loose weight/get healthy, and learn to be a good role model for healthy living for my daughter. My diabetes/blood sugars are also in need of improving and this lifestyle should help with that too. I found Nerd Fitness about a week ago and I am now ready to take the full plunge. I have tried other fitness/calorie counting sites and am a member of another (for pay) weight loss group. Other options have helped temporarily but the changes never stuck. I truly need a strong support group. I have introduced my husband to Nerd Fitness and he is on board. Our only obstacle now is to use up our current groceries and replace with things more Paleo friendly. My biggest challenge will be vegetables. I am not a fan. You will never see a salad on my plate. I like meat, eggs, fish, and fruit which are good options. But giving up cheese and carbs is going to be tough. I know I can do it if you all support me. Failure is not an option...My diabetes need me to do this, My daughter need me to do this, but most inportanly I need me to do this! Thanks rmkwilson
