  1. Dustin! We're totally in the same town! Fellow Aggie, yes?
  2. Just as a note: I have progressed to Level 2!! Yesss! Loving the local park that's got bars low enough for me to do inverted rows on :]
  3. Last night I definitely did my bent over dumbbell rows with 25lbs. Which according to Steve's Guide = Leveling up. Boo. Yah.
  4. That's definitely a thing. Lift one day, the next day run around and sprint to your heart's content, next day lift. Hopefully that would satisfy your urge to be doing something everyday. As Steve has said, find what you like and do it! Hope this was helpful!
  5. Out of curiosity, what would the punishment have been for not eating the potatoes? (Just to see if it was potentially worth taking the punishment to stick to what you would like to do) And maybe next time you can eat only half of the 'mandated' serving - leave the rest and say you're no longer hungry? I too am living at home, but have not yet been pestered as such (I've also got 4 years on you and I'm not going full Paleo, but have been trying to reduce my carb intake), but tonight I know there's going to be baked potatoes as a side. My plan? Either only eat half of the smallest potato or forgo it all together. Another idea: Maybe if there's another veggie being served, ask to eat more of that instead. Parents are always happy to see more veggies on a kid's plate, right? Also possibly over-estimate your meat helping the first time around so they won't notice you reaching for more...it will have already been done the first time. I know this might not help all that much, but it's worth a shot! Good luck Carolyn!
  6. Thanks! We'll see what a good rolling and foot soak does for it and see how they're feeling tomorrow!
  7. A lot of people are probably going to recommend doing sprint intervals for 30 minutes, rather than jogging for an hour. You could possibly do your stronglifts, sprint intervals 2x a week, and if you do just enjoy your hour jog, do that 1 or 2x a week. :]
  8. Thanks Loren! I mean nothing wrong with some extra squats, lunges, push-ups and planks eh?
  9. So I was doing my Body weight workout circuit in the living room and my mom jumped in right as I was on the last set of jumping jacks (aka the end), and so... I did it all the way through again to show Mom. WEWT. And I totally didn't die. We'll see what my body has to say about it tomorrow thought...
  10. If you go to the "Free resources" tab on the main page, there's the Body weight workouts, and the Angry Birds workout. The Angry Birds one is more like what you last suggested, so if that's what you wanna do, go for it! Welcome aboard!
  11. College is looming ahead (actually I'm pretty stoked about it starting), but with how my schedule currently looks, it seems like I'm gonna be on campus pretty much all day. Now I'm planning on bringing my lunch, but by all day I mean until 7 PM or later. Which means I'm going to need snacks if I don't want to start tackling random strangers for their food. I'm looking for (hopefully) freezable snacks, to help keep my lunch cold, and thought I had a brilliant idea with carrots, but I've been told that wouldn't go over well. My current goal is also to keep loosing a little bit of weight (last I checked I'm at 115, want to be around 110) but preserve muscles (since as far as I've read around here, muscle gain is hard to do while doing fat loss?). So things that would minimize 'damage' as far as possibly 'overeating' them (unlike nuts) are also appreciated. Other info: Not really thinking I'll have access to a microwave, so steamed veggie bags have been considered, don't think it'll really be do-able. TL;DR: Freezable, don't need microwaving snacks that will help keep me on fat loss goal?
  12. Yeah, see if they have an open house where all the clubs show off...that's what my College does, that way things are easier to find and get info on!
  13. That mile time is SWEET! My PR is 6:58 so, just a little off of yours, haha! For me it wasn't hard to work in one team during college (I do Ultimate frisbee) but it depends on if you want to do other clubs and things :]
  14. Lol didn't know if it was gonna be "from here to the tree" or like if y'all were trying for a mile or something. No problem!!
