  1. Oh! And it was payday today, so I used the first half of that last block of free time to pay the fuck out of my bills, hahaha. 203% of my credit card bill got paid, so that's definitely a good feel. Looking forward to February 1st so I can recalculate my ratio. =)
  2. Did well today by spending my last hour at work reading my book and then spending an extra hour there reading because traffic was shitty so I decided not to leave. =D I also accomplished all three points of performance today, but let myself have a few extra minutes on the tail end of the last 30 minute block, so I deducted one point of XP for that. Good day is good. =)
  3. Caught the new episode tonight. Hope you're doing well!
  4. You've got this shit. The insurance will come through, the illness will pass, and the dust will settle. Keep care of yourself and you'll have what you need.
  5. Definitely an out-of-nowhere thing. Fortunately it's only happened something like... twice that I can remember, haha.
  6. Way to go. =) Earlier than expected goals met are the best ever. Extra time for shit you thought you wouldn't get to! Haha.
  7. Subbed because wtf why didn't I sub before. I'll read through this tomorrow or this weekend. =D
  8. Haha. When we're obsessed with how shit works... Sometimes it can backfire. =) Yeah, I wasn't expecting you to bump into Andy at the grocery store. But, he's decently well known in the general UK tricks community I think, haha.
  9. Glad to hear it's coming together. =) And! I'd like to see whatever pictures you get. =D Legs~. Oh my. Every day is leg day for me. XD
  10. The thing about energy drinks and prewo stuff is that they're expensive. That, and often, they're shit for general healthfulness (carbonation, tons of sugar, etc). For instance, this is twenty grams of caffeine. For $5. Take one or two of those ~30 minutes before you start your warmup, make sure your warmup lasts 30 minutes and that you're well hydrated leading into it/throughout your workout and you'll tear the place apart. Caffeine is also extremely easy to "reset" your tolerance to. About two weeks with zero caffeine and your body will react like it's never seen the stuff. Then there's ephedrine and DMAA, which are helpful in ways unlike caffeine, but also regarded as dangerous by the FDA. I think the people who get hurt or die with that stuff in their lockers (nevermind whether or not it was in their toxicology workup) are fools. If you don't take them for weight loss or get to the point where you're taking them three times a day for whatever ungodly reason, those two make powerful friends. Basically - don't pay for a RedBull because it tastes like shit and costs 100x more than you need to spend if you're just looking for metabolic stimulation. =D
  11. Well, let's not try to interfere with a national holiday, even if most of us aren't overly concerned with it. If I said let's do Saturday, who would say they would definitely come? Or... as definitely as you can be, Jess. =P
  12. Oh also, I added stats and XP to the main post and my signature. I decided I'm going to follow the AD&D2.5 leveling requirements with some adaptations. The Handbook lists 2,250XP required for a ranger to reach level 2. If you divide that by six, you get 375. Level 3 is 4,500 and 750. I decided that since stats in D&D are more or less static and NF is all about cumulative growth, I'll give my stats levels as even fractions of my total XP. So, I'm going to back-date myself some CHA XP because I went to a goddamn cocktail party on January 4th. Haha. It's extremely abnormal for me to socialize in groups of people I don't know and I left with three phone numbers. The next day I spent some good hours with one of those three number holders. So I'm giving myself 30xp for the party and 10 for the new relationship. =)
  13. GERDDERMET I had an entire post and then accidentally smacked the "back" button on my mouse. I hate that button and have no idea why I haven't unbound it yet. ROAR. Ok, so. I had a questionable and anxious day at work that I decided to remedy by adding a fourth main quest objective to my original post in this thread. Then I almost didn't work out because my dad called and him initiating calls is a rare treat so I just enjoyed that while it was being had. I finally got down to the basement by about 10:30. Again. Derp. Squat: 5x5@195lbs - I narrowed my heels a little and pointed my toes out a little. It made the descent and ascent much smoother but I need to check some form stuff to make sure my knees will be safe with it. Bench: 5x5@145lbs - Same weight as last time, still rightfully challenging. Row: 5x5@135lbs - Similar case here as with bench. Proper difficulty. Ham Curl: 5x5@80lbs - Aaaand same as above. As I mentioned earlier, I skipped hyperextensions because I can still feel my lower back being a little more talkative than I want it to be. I might skip lower back work on Friday too, but we'll see. BUT. I did the workout. On the right day. 10 points (literally). =) And tomorrow will be the most productive day at work I've had in a long time. As will Friday. And Monday. Now for bed. =)
  14. Way to go on the training. Dizzy spells are a trip. I haven't had one in a while, but the last was mid-deadlift-sets. As in, I went to grip the bar, stood back up to adjust posture, and then controlled-fall-sat-down. Haha. Tomorrow should be good.
  15. Holy hell, what a victory. =D Killed the weights, and being sly with food is always a supreme challenge for me. Way to go!
  16. My set wound up being a bench with a bunch of addons (preacher, ham curl, pulldown), a rusty oly bar, and 2x45, 2x34, 2x25, 2x10, 4x5, 2x2.5 Standard Barbell plates. A very good deal to say the least, but that's what Craigslist is made of if you dig in. =)
  17. Oh my god... those iMacs. I had almost completely forgotten about them!
  18. Kishi - Ha! That sounds like a blast mechanically. Oh video games. <3 stardust - Thank you madam. =D Indeed it was and indeed I intend to continue! Edit: Can't post anymore cause I'm at 256... Race myself to the next power of eight? <.< ...No! No more NF at work for the day. D=
  19. Hahaha, sweet! Well done on all fronts. And your newest bear (lion?) is adorable. XD Rock the squats today. =) Squats are such fuuuunnnn!
  20. Sweet deal mang. Your courage for (hill) sprints and circuits is much inspire. =D I'd like to say I'll look to that next challenge... buuuut... =O Time will tell, haha. I'm wondering - How long does an HFS session take you?
  21. Man, this GTK book is easy peasy. I'm loving that, though, because that means I chose a good book for my skill level, I'll be able to implement skills learned here quickly at work, and so forth. Nine pages read tonight (and four example programs created/debugged/etc) in about an hour and a half. I meant to start at 7, spend an hour coding and an hour gaming (I never play video games; it's a damn shame) but instead I was Googling books for my next challenge until ~8:30. Derp! Anyway, I'm feeling very good and now it's time for bed. =)
  22. Weights look lovely as always, and I'm glad to see you were able to get back to running without hindrance. =)
