    Paleo Help

    Hi all! I'm looking for some help in breaking down the Paleo diet. I mean...breaking it WAY down. Let's just pretend that I'm dumber than a caveman and need some basic assistance. Can someone point me to a resource that gives me a list of do's and don'ts? I read through the beginners guide and also the Paleo book by Steve Wolf. I do have questions though... What about butter? Sour cream? Cheeses of any kind? What sugars are OK? Any natural sugars? Anything besides water OK? I'm sure that there are many more tucked away in my head. I do feel like these are rather simple questions, I just need a bit of guidance. Thanks to everyone in advance!
  3. Greetings all from the Sunshine State! It's a rainy day here in Florida today. I'm looking to see if there are any Rebels in the Jacksonville area that might want to start a support group locally? Anyone up for a little bit more accountability? I know that I could use it. My Story--- Real simple. I'm married with kids. :-). I'm also the heaviest I've ever been in my life. I have a great job, unfortunately, I'm a work-from-home IT geek and spend too much time on my butt working on the computer. My Goals--- I want to be a 34/36 pant size again. Not cheating and letting the gut hang over, but a solid, true 34/36 I want to be able to run with my kids I want to learn Parkour. That looks like a blast and something that I could do with my kids I want to be HOT for my wife. Jealous should be appropriate. I want to show my kids that you can achieve anything you want if you work every day towards your goals I want to feel great and know that I look great too To everyone that has taken the time to get this far...   4. Time to start and make the changes to be successful!!! Hello to one and all! As you can see in my signature, I'm a rather overweight Centaur. Not a very flattering picture if you work it right. Kinda like the rhino in the movie Jumanji. Huffing and puffing whenever I need to move beyond my little domain. I'm out this year to enlarge my domain. To prove to my 7 year old son that you CAN change and become a true hero. I'm currently the heaviest I've EVER been in my life. I'm ready to be done with that. I'm tired of being a size 40+. I want to get back down to a size 34/36. I want to be HOT for my wife. I want her to not want to let me go out in public without her! My warrior's heart needs to match a warrior's body. OK...so, my goal for this 6 week challenge... * Build a consistent workout and eating habits to lose at least 10 pounds. My small goals are: * Work the Power90 DVD program daily. (I bought the damn things, I might as well make use of them!) * Intermittent fasting - 2 days a week * Follow a Paleo diet 4-5 days per week I'm going to say that the Stat increases will look like this after 6 weeks: STR - +2 DEX - +0 STA - +2 CON - +2 WIS - +1 CHA - +1 I hope that anyone and everyone will help to keep me accountable. I KNOW that I need it. ;-)
