  1. That enchilada casserole sounds amazing! Your diet is very impressive, I've been wanting to try green smoothies but they kind of scare me! Hopefully as you get more adjusted to a routine your sleep will improve. Meditation is a great idea!
  2. Day two I followed my diet restrictions, almost full paleo! minus some cheese on my salad and a spoonful of nutella. Day three I ran a mile (way harder than it shouldve been) and did a modified version of the hotel circuit. I upped the difficulty, doing 20 prisoner squats, 10 BOSU push-ups, 12 lb Rows on each arm, and 15 BOSU sit ups with 12 lb weight. I got 3 circuits in 15 minutes! definitely feeling it today. And I also reached my diet requirements again! It gets easier every day to get excited about eating paleo. Now for Day four (five for some of you)! Good luck fellow questers!!
  3. That's wonderful motivation! I can't wait to see your updates. I love the countryside hiking vs. cultural hiking. You should document them/take pictures for us
  4. Just did the hotel workout at level 1and I got almost 5 circuits in! This quester is feelin good.
  5. That damn sugar dragon!! Sometimes when I get a craving, (especially for something like starbucks) I'll do a yummy flavored tea (something that sounds sweet like gingerbread or caramel apple) and add a bit of honey. Another one that hits the spot, especially if I want something sweet for breakfast, is cinnamon apples. Either in the microwave or in a pan, just slice some apples really thin and warm them up with cinnamon and maybe a little agave syrup or brown sugar (just a pinch!). The more cinnamon the better it tastes, and cinnamon is beneficial for your metabolism!
  6. Oh and I forgot to add my beginning stats: Height: 5'7 Weight: 150 Size: 6 About to go do a strenght workout, I shall post shortly how I did!
  7. You should! It's so satisfying! So far I've brewed my own beer, and I finally won something out of one of those claw machines. I think this month I'm gonna put efforts into cooking my way through a cookbook. It'll take a longtime especially considering my limited buget, but I'd love some suggestions! maybe even a paleo cookbook?
  8. Hello There Traveler Holly! Your Main Objective Quest: To get below 140lbs In order to obtain this objective, you must first complete these challenges: 1. Transition to Paleo diet (including limiting alcohol intake to once per week): Week 1 - no grain after 2PM, limit processed sugars, 2 cheat days per week. Week 2 - no grain after Breakfast. limit processed sugars, 1 cheat day per week Week 3 - no grain, limit dairy, limit peanuts, limit processed sugars - 1 cheat day per week Week 4 - Full Paleo - 1-2 cheat meals per week Week 5 - "" Week 6 - Full Paleo!! 2. Strength training 3x per week plus running 3-6 miles per week. 3. Record my strength workouts, and plan them out ahead of time. Life Quest: About 2 years ago I started a bucket list journal, it gets me super excited everytime I look at it! but I've done a pretty lousy job at putting the effort in to actually do any of the things I want. My life quest is to make marked efforts into at least 1 list item per month and write about what I did in my journal. From now on I am the hero of my story, and I need to record my adventures for when they make a videogame about it someday. Side Quests: - Take a pole aerobics class and/or a crossfit class My motivation: My boyfriend just moved to Philly for a six month Co-op. He's always been a fitness nut, and I've always been there to make fun of him when he doesn't have a third slice of pizza with me, or when he wants to buy more supplements online. Now that I don't get to see him everyday, I want to find more ways to support each other and still have adventures, and not be such a bad influence :-P I know we can challenge each other to become better, if I just embrace the same wonderful attitude he has. Not to mention, it will be even more exciting to visit him when I have some results to show off! Its time I get on my way to complete my quest! I've got determination in my inventory, and a better me on my destination map. Now if only I could fast travel.
