Congrats on the your first few weeks of success. Generally, a person's energy expenditure becomes less as they get lighter - meaning that you will inevitably plateau. The amount of food intake that once resulted in weight loss, will now only maintain. Speaking of plateau's...have you read Steve's blog post the other day about them? What to Do When You Hit A PlateauBut beyond the plateau, you mention an pretty low level of caloric intake, what is the breakdown of carbs/fats/protein? You could easily be sabotaging your goals if you are getting too much sugar from the sweetened liquids and other unfriendly simple sugared food items.
  2. As others have indicated already that by a super-strict, by the book definition, paleo adherents don't touch any diary. If you find your self including butter or other good quality diary (yogurt, cheese, cream, half/half, butter, ghee, milk) or even some other non-paleo approved (good quality low-glycemic) foods you might want to take a look at some of the derivatives or alternative 'paleo diet templates' for inspiration and guidance. Something like Mark Sissons Primal diet (differences between Paleo and Primal). Want some tips for what to look for when buying good quality butter...check out this post (I have no connection with the website/blogger, was in my news feed recently and I bookmarked it for reference)
