  1. I'll be tinkering with the level ones! Baby steps... or rather, baby box jumps...
  2. Going back to basics on this one! I am seriously considering undergoing gastric sleeve surgery, so this challenge is not about fancy tricks or cool parkour moves. It's about getting my basic health and finances under control. Current Quest: 7/20 - 9/10 - Becoming the Zombie Slayer MAIN QUEST: Back to Basics :: Girl, You Got This Ultimate Quest: Survive the Zombie Apocalypse NECESSARY SKILLS STR: Fend off zombies with brawn STA: Outrun hordes for long distances DEX: Be agile and quick enough to cover rugged, varied terrain effortlessly CON: Have the supplies and means to bunker down and equip myself properly WIS: Be wicked smaht. Because zombies are dumb. CHA: Charm the pants off of handsome survivors. Steal their shit. CHALLENGE PT ONE GOALS (7/28 - 8/18) 1: Eat Well (+3 WIS) - Vegetarian Lunches, Whole Food Dinners - NO fast food (except coffee) 2: Exercise (+4 STA) - 3x a Week Minimum (Gym or Work Fitness) - At least 1 hike with the dogs a week. Life Quest: Get Stable: Finish Paying off CC Debt (+3 CON) This may take me slightly more than 6 weeks, but I have cut my credit card debt down to 25% of what it once was! I WAS BORN READY.
  3. I posted in the Adventurers report-back thread, asking for advice on my pattern of "WOOHOO!...Meh....couchslooottthhhhhhh". Someone suggested splitting my challenge in two, and I think that's a great idea!
  4. Oh my goodness, T2, it's no problem. If I don't actually post regularly, I can't expect people to post for me! I may re-adjust and go for 3 week challenges!
  5. So, I'm playing with my goals for the next challenge.. 6. So... I have developed a pattern. Pre-Challenge - WOOHOO! Things are awesome! I'm gonna get so much done! Weeks 1-3 - Woohoo! I'm really trying, and I'm even occassionally succeeding1 Weeks4-6 - My couch is awesome. I love ice cream. MORE BACON. Any advice for how to break this bad habit?
  7. The past 3 challenges I have started really strong, and ended terribly. By "terribly", I mean having not been to the gym in 2 weeks, not making good food choices. Any advice for following through?
  8. I'M A BEAST. Did an Insanity workout and did 105 push ups. I won't even count the planks! But booooo. I went from winning my section to 3rd place!
  9. My mother did that, marrying essentially her first college boyfriend (while still in college). She and my father are a terrible match, and I know both would have been happier with other people. Amazingly enough, they're still together! I have no interest in marrying the first guy who comes along.
  10. I'm really impressed with Match already, just in the first 48 hours! There seems to be a significant maturity difference, perhaps because of the financial requirement. People are on there to find matches, not just idly browse. Nothing terribly exciting yet, but I've sent out a bunch of messages and received several myself!
  11. Not too shabby! My mysterious WhyDoesEverythingHurt pains have subsided, and yesterday I became an AUNT for the first time! My little nephew was born, and he is absolutely beautiful. I signed up for Match.com, because everyone I was talking to on OKC was either interested in super casual dating or was too immature for what I'm looking for. I want a man, people! Not a man-child! Match is stupid expensive though, so I only got the 3month package. I can't justify dropping $180 bucks for six months' access to a website... My fitness hasn't been so great. I could give excuses, but I won't - I've been lazy. The birth of my nephew has definitely opened my eyes to how BADLY I want to have a family. And I need to be healthy (both physically and mentally) to devote myself to that.
  12. Well, Ravenclaw is undefeated thus far... soo.... I kid, I kid. Whatever works.
  13. Can we mash up the teams for the next challenge? I'm having difficulty figuring out the Slytherclaw / Gryfflepuff mash ups without a visual. OR, we could always do a tri-wizard tourney type thing.
  14. Ravenclaw peeps, why you leave me hanging? All a lonely keeper can do is negate points. Boooooo.
  15. Slytherin + Ravenclaw would be an indestructable evil force. Brilliant AND Wicked.
  16. Hm. Explain what you mean by lowest adjusted points, please?
  17. Somehow, Ravenclaw pulled out a really awesome last push! I'm proud of everyone. I do think the current NPC is fair, even though it's SUPER high for Slytherin. No other way would be as fair.
  18. *whips around on her broom, flying in erratic circles* I MAY BE WEAK - *spins upside down. her glasses fly off, landing on the ground* BUT I'M CONSISTENT *her scarf flicks up and obscures her eyes. With a shriek, she tumbles off the broom*. Averaging about 25 per day. It's not a lot, but I'm managing to be pretty darn consistent. I'm going to push myself to get 50 today!
  19. Hey, Harika. Thank you for taking the time to organize all of this You rock!
  20. I'm still so sore! It's weird. My legs are the worst culprits... And my upper legs (particularly my back thighs), it's so weird. I'm going to give myself a good stretch tonight and roll around on my tennis ball. Maybe that will help?
  21. Did 50 wall push ups during a bathroom break - that is the most I've EVER done at once! Woo!
