  4. I keep thinking, "it really shouldn't be this difficult!" I keep falling off the wagon, and getting back on and rinse and repeating. Never making any progress, and lucky if I can be consistent for longer than two weeks. I joined the academy, knowing that it was the path I wanted to take to be successful, and I can't even get past writing down what I eat before eating. It isn't even difficult to do, but I can't even seem to do it every day. That being said, I really connected to this idea of respawning, and so I am. And I will respawn as many times as I need to in order to be successful! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  10. Ok, so I am a day late. Sorry for dropping of the forums there, things got crazy at work there for awhile. And then of course I let myself get off all of the good changes that I was making, as in the only thing I did remember to do the whole last 7 days was meditate. So please help me kick my butt back in gear! To update, like I said my back is doing much better. On the downside, I have a sinus infection again. Second one this month. I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow to get more medicines. However, that means I don't have the lung capacity, or the energy, for a fencing workout, so I am sticking with the yoga alternative for now. I need to get back off the candy at work, and rekill the sodas. It seems making good habits is really hard for me, but I can pick up bad habits with the greatest of ease. Maybe I should do a study on that.
  11. Great job on the progress with your to-do list!
  12. I know you did great! I can't wait to read about it!
  13. There is no reason you can't start the full diet anyway, and walking would help to to get into the habit of being active at a certain time. You could point out that it is worth looking at the diet now and see if it is something she can commit to before it becomes entirely neccessary. Let her know that you will support her, and that this too is in support of her as it will help make the transition easier for her to already have the habits she is going to need.
  14. That would be great if you could get the library job! Good luck with your lecture!
  15. If it helps, my mom only bought two pairs of pants when she was on a roll toward her goal weight. Yeah she did the wash a lot, but she didn't have to spend a lot of money on pants she wasn't going to wear for long.
  16. I know that battle. Have you tried "consequences" for messing up? I know that is how a good friend of mine fixed their vocabulary around his kid. He owed a dollar each time. They went on a nice vacation with it too. It took awhile, but it worked.
  17. My back is doing much better. We had state mandated testing since last Wednesday. I will be back in full force tomorrow. For now, I crawl in a corner an weep with joy that it is over, and prepare myself mentally for the last 16 days ofschool Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. I will have to check out some Pilates stuff then! The yoga last night helped for a bit.
  19. I have never been Kayaking, but it looks like a lot of fun!
  20. Check any comic or hobby stores around. They usually have some set up.
  21. I have heard resistant bands are great for hotel room workouts, and obviously really easy to pack. You could also see if the hotel has a gym, I know a lot of the ones I stay at do, and not just treadmills.
  22. I love my Jawbone for all of the data it gives me. My husband has a fitbit that he really likes.
