  1. It is finding balance, and what works for you. With all of my obligations, I have had to set aside time dedicated solely for house work. I don't look forward to Sundays, but everything gets cleaned and washed.
  2. Its great to know that! I can't keep chips and salsa in my house, or those chocolate peanut butter jiff things.
  3. Thanks guys! I did my workout last night, and kept my food journal as planned. Did have a burger and fries for dinner, but homemade instead of fast food. Motivation was taken from you guys, and I appreciate it so much. I don't want the health problems, or to disappoint you! Today is starting off great, and I have my workout planned!
  4. How do you go about not letting bad days get in the way of goals? It been a really stressful day at work, I am very frustrated, it is raining, and I really just can't find the motivation today. Ideas?
  5. I am so sorry you are having a rough time. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Work has been, well we will say interesting. (And when you think of interesting keep in mind I teach middle school at a low income school.) With that in mind, I have completed these last two days. Day 17/ Week 3 Day 3: Missed fencing. Was exhausted and sore from work, which in my opinion did constitue a workout, just not the one I had planned, and not in any workout form so I know I can't count it. Luckily kept Saturday free so that I could make up a workout when missed, so today was my off day. Logged all of the food, even the second cup of coffee that was very desperately needed. Day 18/ Week 3 Day 4: Even more exhausting than yesterday. Haven't gotten to my BBWW today, but I will because I just don't have the energy to do extra for missing the workout. It will probably have to be tonight, after I get an adult beverage in me. Logged all food, and my one drink that I am allowing for tonight. I know we shouldn't think of food or anything as "earning" it, but I think you'd understand. Use your imagination to define interesting, and I bet it was worse. I have never been more thankful that I have my students well versed in our routine and my expectations. I will update/edit to include details of the workout and its completion.
  7. Love the progressions today. Though I have to admit that as soon as I get home, I am looking up a kneeling cartwheel.
  8. I don't see why it wouldn't be recieved well. Bad form leads to injury
  9. Great changes! You can do it! (Imagine that being said in the voice of Tony Little, of ab machine fame)
  10. A friend of mine is debating on naming her son Tyrion. Impressed on getting the toddler to bed; sorry that it is leaving you exhausted.
  11. I keep joking with my coach that in 20 years we are going to move shop to the Keys. He told me about sabre fencing in the surf. Tournament rounds go deeper in the water. Drinking would be encouraged, but of course with that protective gear would be more than required.
  12. Good luck with the pull up or chin up! I have never in my life been able to do one, even though I could fling around like a monkey on the monkey bars.
  13. Way to go! Planks are fun but brutal. I like them! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. And my friend had me run 5 suicides with a medicine ball the length of the fencing strip for missing my workout last Sunday, and the students in the fencing class I sub taught today all wanted to fence against me, so that was even more exercise. I am so sore and dead tired. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Day 16/ Week 3 Day 2: I did all the things! Had to squeeze in a workout during my planning again, but I did it without cutting anything short. Today was a rough day at work, but I did not let it send me to the junk food. I did have candy today, but that was because a student brought it to me as a gift, and I had calories remaining from my TDEE. I logged all of my food in my journal, and I have preplanned dinner. I will change it if need be, but the only reason for that would be if the food contains something I am allergic to. I am having to eat out tonight because I didn't get a chance to do grocery shopping. However, I am trying to make it the best by going to honeybaked hams and getting a vegetable side. For my life goal, I am half way though my hours needed before I can get certified. I have all that is required by the Coaches Association, but my particular coach wants double. Going in again tonight to coach and get more hours.
  16. You have some great progressions! Have you thought about where you are interested in starting your work, or are you doing more of getting all of the options written down before you decide?
  17. But it is really helpful to everyone to see that. Its nice to see that you aren't the only one who struggles.
  18. That looks like a great week! Sorry about the bad dreams, but love the mass effect 3.
  19. What are you doing to track your food and calories? I love your goals! Glad to have you here!
  20. Ahh see I moved my candy to the school nurse at first, so I had to make a big effort to go get it, and then had to go through her. Well, actually it started with a locked cabinet. Either way, I had to think before I grabbed it. And I went slow, like limiting my intake to 1 or 2 pieces of a fun sized bar a day. Now I am at no candy
  21. Small things at a time with the husband. He is resistant to change, and has a stubborn streak like his parents. I figure if I can start him with eating veggies and excercising before he has any sweet, then its a good start. He isn't seeing the health implications because he is built like a stick.
  22. Why not try a limiting of the sugar to refined sugars to start with? Or specifying areas where you are having the most problem with sugars? For example, I used to only drink coffee that had at least 6 teaspoons sugar, so I worked on only 2 sugars or no coffee.
  23. Oh wow that looks so good! Where can I get a recipe? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
