      LOL I've never tried to grow hops. Its a grain so I assume it would grow like wheat. Not sure I have the space for that kinda growing I have 3 acres. It probably works like corn though where you have to have alot of the plants for cross pollination to get any decent yield. 

       

      A new hip! wow that sounds painful but good for you! Its awesome that you are already getting yourself back on the horse!

      What was it that you were trying to plant the year you did the re landscaping around your place?  I had it in my head it was hops.  Oh well.  I am taking on a little more with three 20 x20  beds out at my in laws "farm". One bed has potatoes and onions the other some sweet corn so far.

      LOL. I saddly am an AP Manager... 1099's must come first but returning to NF is my top priority once I survive another year of taxes :)

  4. So it was a rough weekend. But Apparently despite a cheating an amount I considered massive, I dropped body fat according to my trainer. Like 5 lbs of body fat. I suppose I can't complain. Today I'm cheating, but not so much. I'm determined that the reason i cheat is I'm not allowing myself enough sleep. I need to fix that. Well that being what it is, this challenge ends shortly. I did NOT find a use for my strength or put a reasonable effort into that discovery so I mark that portion a fail. I did however enjoy mixed berry bread pudding... is hobbit an acceptable class? On to bigger and better things! See you next Challenge!
  5. well today I feel dramatically off diet and I just want to stay off diet. I have 0 will power right now and I really want 2 bottles of wine and a pile of cupcakes. 35 minutes and I am free for a weekend... and I REALLY need to be free for a weekend....
  6. Weekend went well. Workouts plod along. New job was pretty miserable this morning, but stuff happened and now I feel more - engaged. It's a positive experience. I'm happy my team is able to say to me "DUDE WTF - PAY ATTENTION" It's a good time.
  7. going away for the weekend - much lower stress about food than last year. I have a system and it works much better where I can pack almost all of my food. Its not only healthy its thrifty!
  8. A little, not enough to make me happy though LOL tonight is GUNZ NIGHT because I'm traveling starting tomorrow! Looking forward to the SWOLE Back to my challenge though. How to use strength. Apparently I've done something to my back while getting the tattoo. Its not in pain, more like... a vicious knot that wont go away. The foam roller REALLY helps it feel normal again so new task is daily foam rollnig LOL. My physical task on strength however is going to start small. Daily I want to do something physical at home. Clean a something, paint a something, not just plan. I need a physical do. 1 hour of do at home daily is a good thing for me and my family. So I'll start small there. yesterday, I hauled trash out of our attic, piles and piles of just stored junk that I know I don't need anymore. so much empty space now... so disturbing...

  10. Traveling for Labor Day. Going to pick my mom up to visit for 2 weeks, so my workout schedule is a little screwy again. Monday though is Gym day with my trainer. He has me doing chest and back at his gym (and what he calls ABS EXTRAVAGANZA and what I call - want my pec flies back) Anyway here was the workout last night - and bumping leg night to tonight so I can spend tomorrow doing other prep craze... DB Press: 40lb 3x12 Superset with Pull Up 12/NGrip Pullups 12/ close Grip Chin12 Bench press: 110 3x12 Superset with BO row: 105 3x12 BW Dips on Paralettes 3x12 Superset with Dumbell Row 40lbs 3x12 Ab Work: Bicycle Crunches 30 sec/Reverse Crunches 30 sec/(Some weird thing I don't know the name of with a medicine ball) 30 seconds 3 sets I feel chunky today. need to lay off the wine and ice cream i think again LOL

  14. This is extremely depressing.. next he'll say the shells on M&Ms are al the same...

Just throwing it out there: 3 years in, weight completely stable, body fat slowly melting off, and I used a cheat meal at lunch - and that tiny nagging neurosis of "this is gonna make me fat" is still there. It probably will always be there... Maybe thats a good thing to help keep me in check. Normal lunch is 2 and a half whole wheat english muffins with 1.5 oz of turkey 1.4 of black beans and some salsa (I eat 6 meals so this is meal 3) Today as a cheat I ate in the caf at work - 3 meatballs, swiss chard, a big slice of what I consider 'fancy bread" and a pint size soup bowl of chicken veggie cheesy red sauce pasta stuff. It's actually a pretty reasonable cheat.... and I feel like a whale. I'll get over it. It's just irritating.
