  1. I ran to the voting poll this morning. Literally. The people working the poll were all curious about that. But, got my run in today. It was a good way to get the run back and forth, just took a little planning to arrive just as they opened and back home in time to get cleaned up and out the door. Just meant I went back out the door with my hair wet.

  3. That's awesome!! How's the Garmin working for you? See if the gym will offer you a one week membership free. Some do and it's a great way to see if you like it there. Congrats on getting the garden going.
  4. Thanks for the check in. After running a decent 8 miler, I came home and baked. Then I read "I Love Cats" and "Go Dog Go" with my daughter. Now, I'm waiting for my chicken to finish baking (this is the chicken I'll be taking to work during the week). So far, down 1.5 lbs.
  5. Thanks ElastiGirl and Karrie. So far, going ok. The challenge has inspired me to be very attentive to the food intake.
  6. I don't talk about me... what do I say? I'm fat. Not as fat as I used to be, not as healthy or as strong as I want to be. I'm a work in progress. I run (I'm about to run a half marathon this weekend). I'm learning to lift weights. Running has taught me that I can be strong and I want to be stronger. Which led me to NF. I've been lurking for a few months, tried the bodyweight circuit (hello squats, you killed me once I learned how to do you right!), ordered an eBook that I'm reading now, referred a friend and now - joined the forum and the challenge. I'm a mother, an employee, a student, a wife, a human trying to be healthier. I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you.
  7. Jason - good luck and congratulations on pending fatherhood! I know when my daughter joined me on the outside of the belly 5 years ago, life changed forever. In the best way possible... well except for sleep and free time anyway. But, you can make it happen.
  8. So, as my title says, this is my first challenge with NF. Been lurking for quite a while, excited to participate. Diet/Fitness Goals: -Lose 12 lbs (2/week) -Clean up the diet (less processed food), small changes every week. This week, bringing lunch to work every day. -Improve circuit time: number of pushups and plank hold length. Life Goal: -Read 2 books (non-nighttime) with my daughter each day. She's on the brink of reading herself so I think this will help her get over the edge. Failure Goal: -I'm still working on what this will be.
