Keep crawling, blue team! We're almost there

Following you. I actually never knew you had any anxiety or mood issues. I never would have guessed. You always seemed so solid and full of mental fortitude. I'm interested in seeing your progress with the headspace crud...maybe it will inspire me to work out some of my own issues.

Must have that beer!
-
Got some in after work. The weekend might be too crazy for me to get any extra but I'll try my best.
-
Really wish I lived in your area so I could hang out at your parkour class or go rock climbing or something fun. I have the hardest time meeting up with local strangers...social anxiety makes it nigh impossible, but with real friends I'd probably have an amazing time. I'm following your challenge in hopes it will motivate me to stay off the booze, too. Living in Vegas has not been conducive to alcohol avoidance.

Two more days...everyone squish as many spiders as you can!

Yeah, but as the Slytherin in the audience, I relate more to the people who get a super power, learn to control it, harness it, become a bit creative with it if need be, and go out and kick ass with it (or don't, depending on what helps them achieve their goals. ). I can't at all relate to becoming an angst-ridden emo about the whole thing. I'd be much more likely to whine about not having any powers in a world filled with supers.
I think that's why I appreciated Daredevil so much. Less whining, and more Irish rage ass kicking. The Avengers were pretty decent with this, too (other than Hulk, I guess).
The old Daredevil comics are awesome. And not having any powers in a world filled with supers...just be the smartest person on the planet. Or a mischievous kid, like the one in Furies of Calderon.
Also - there you are! I was wondering where you went. I wandered into Rangers to have a peek around and discovered your post. Cool new challenge thread, btw.

Are you still accepting newbies? My weight went up recently and I think I need moral support in getting back to where I want to be.

So far my major accomplishment has been crawling out of bed and making a healthy breakfast, despite wanting to hide under the blankets and ditch work.

Hey! My name is Leafa, I'm fairly sure I'm going to go assassin after this challenge. IRL I'm a university student on work term and I also teach kids how to make video games with a program called Stencyl.
Characters that I aspire to be? In the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks, there's a character, Vi, that I just adore. She's beautiful but totally deadly. I've always admired quick and agile characters though, and I'd love to be one of them.
And progress wise, doing well considering I started from barely nothing. I've lost 5 pounds already! (even though I said I didn't want to focus on numbers ha)
I'd say the biggest thing I'm struggling with is getting up a half hour earlier than usual so I can fit my workout in. I'm doing pretty well with reaching the goals I set for myself, but I didn't overload myself with goals, which I think is the big reason why I'm sticking to this plan compared to my other weight loss plans. Right now I'm only doing 100 jumps with a skipping rope (6x a week) and one circuit of the bodyweight workout (3x a week). Going good so far, but I'll probably amp it up a bit during the next challenge.
The Night Angel Trilogy...aww, I remember reading that. /sigh.

Hi! If you haven't already, the NF women's Facebook group is a good place to make a lot of friends and cheer each other on. There's a lot of inspiring then and now pics and they do fun things like flex Friday. Also I'm down to help in any way...never been an accountability bud before, but I can try.

Glad you stood up for the kids at the home school meeting. I feel like protecting kids should get you a bonus point...Winchester brothers bonus or something. And grats on your challenge too, seems like you're sticking to it despite all kinds of hurdles. I don't even want to get out of bed during shark week, so I'm impressed.

I am totally in! Bring it on spiders!
Pro tip: After a whisky sour or two, walking lunges are both more fun and more challenging than normal.
I find myself in need of adult beverages after completing the mini challenges quite often, actually. It helps drown the hate my entire body seems to radiate at me.

For the people who missed out on this lightning fast 5th mini challenge, there is an unofficial (only for fame and glory, no points attached) extension to the 5th mini challenge:
Fame and glory works for me. Let's get squishing!

Yay, Fayrn! You did great!

The champion trials are up! Go, Faryn, go!

Sorry y'all, I'm dealing with lots of moving crap, so I've been in and out. I vote for Fayrn! I'll try ot get some numbers up this week soon, I've just kinda checked out of anything non-required this week and I need to snap out of it.
Moving really takes a toll on you...take care of yourself first, we'll still be here once you've settled!
I put up 60 lunges. They were non-jumping, but I really don't think I can do jumping ones right now.
Yay, more dead orcs! I'm going to have switch to the modified walking ones because I hurt my knee at work. Going to try for a set right now.

I feel like I've been away forever. I managed to do all 7 (that was some crazy yoga towards the end) and got a completion bonus. And I'll be doing lots of pull-up related workouts so yay!!
Have we decided who will be our champion? I'm going to be not so humble and volunteer my name into the pot. I have all kinds of energy and I feel like I'm on a roll!
Hey I'm going to put your name on the spreadsheet 'cause the other teams are starting to add theirs. Hope that's ok.

You're here, and part of Team Elf, which makes you awesome by default. 😊I'm just being shy. Because y'all are clearly terrifying And I've not been much help...
Thanks to the jumping lunges, I now make old person noises everywhere! Hahaha.

The baby mo ogle costume sounds adorable. I was just gonna suggest the owl guide, but the mo ogle idea is awesome. Also jealous of your sewing skills! Glad you got a chance to check out roller derby, I have friends that are into it and love it to death. Hope you feel better soon, too.

You have my vote, too!
Given the low number of people chatting on the thread, you may be it!
I decidedly un-volunteer myself for champion. Not quite ready to take on mystery exercises yet.
Yeah, it is kinda quiet...where is everyone?

'Grats on the jeans! I used lemon juice and stevia to make lemonade when I wasn't feeling up to drinking more water, seemed to work ok. And of course herbal. Hang in there, you've got this.

Go, bendy elves!! Great work, everyone.

You're doing great so far. Paddle board time sounds amazing...I'm picturing a nice peaceful cruise around a lake in my head 'cause I've never been. Sounds like you've got the healthy eating thing down - kick ass!

Yes!! I just had to do sprints for a new jobs boot camp on Monday. I'm already halfway done. Though I wouldn't have minded doing the Yoshi challenge...I actually like beets. Hmm.
