  1. Bodyfat% estimates from scales are inaccurate to the point of being pretty useless. Just keep working, keep your diet in check too, and bring your weight down. At your size, if you drop 30 lbs, you'll lose fat. And you'll know it, because your pants will be falling down.
  2. 16 November 2020 Shared from my workout music playlist:
  3. 12 November 2020 The hardest part of squatting was not dancing under the bar during reps to this song.
  4. 11 November 2020 Dropped the flat bench to 170 like I said I would. Glad I did. Shoulder's been acting grumpy the last two days. Didn't try to push volume on the AMRAP set; just did my goal 3 reps and called it done.
  5. Hi Hazel. I described the 5 week challenges and gave instructions for them in the other pinned thread, at this link: *** READ THIS THREAD FIRST *** NF Beginner Guidebook. I'm happy to help you, but your question is basically asking me to repeat what I already wrote in that other thread. Please make sure you read that thread first. If there's some part of the description of challenges and/or instructions that's still confusing you after you've read it, please let me know which part is confusing and I'll do my best to to try to make it more clear.
  6. 7 November 2020 My OH Press was finally able to move up in weight again after a couple of weeks of work. Even if only by a quarter pound. Progress is progress.
  7. 3 November 2020 My body couldn't handle the Bench Press. Well, I mean, obviously I could press the weight at 180.5 since I did it three times in the workout, but I wasn't able to get three sets in. I failed a second rep on the second set, and failed to get any reps on a third-set attempt. I'm going to suck it up, drop my flat Bench back to 170 next time, and be patient with the increases. Since I failed to hit volume on the flat bench, I decided to go ahead and knock 10 off the Incline Press. That turned out to be a good decision, as the Incline workout went smoothly.
  8. Realistically, not very fast since I switched to a caloric deficit. I think it's going to be very slow going for a while.
  9. 31 October 2020 Well fffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuddge you, Grip. If you've ever wondered what a real life "Level Drain" looks like, here you go. Before my summer injuries I was deadlifting 345 mixed, 325 double-over. Now restarting deadlifting, after 4 months of not doing deadlifts during injury recovery, my double-over was just barely able to handle work sets of 230. My grip strength is gone, man. 😭 Ah well. I guess I'm a 230 Deadlifter now. For today anyway. But since Grip decided to complain about a light weight deadlift, Grip gets to enjoy some extra attention.
