  2. Started a beginner's style paleo yesterday. Working around waffles and potatoes sucked! Powered through though

  3. Saying my last (less than) tearful good-byes to sushi, waffles, and beer. It'll be worth it!

  4. Welcome! What are your goals? I'm going to run a 5k, might be gunning for the Seven Continents Club if I like the feeling. Running a marathon on all seven continents sounds awesome! But definitely going to lose at least 50 pounds. Shooting for 145-155, but if I bulk too much for that, it'll be fine. Any ideas, like a warrior dash or thirty pull ups?
  5. So, this is this week so far in review. Monday, I ate poorly and worked a ten hour shift. I felt like crap when I got home. Did research paleo and decided that 10 Feb I will begin a paleo-ish diet. I will cut out almost all grains with a "cheat" day on Sundays. Tuesday- Ate a bit better, cut up and froze some veggies to make quick breakfasts without processed foods, went to my weightlifting class. Squatted 240 (machine squats, since the squat bars fill up quickly) three sets of twelve, 15 pound per hand dumbbell presses three sets of twelve, 90 pound flys which was 12-10-8, 40 pound upright rows three sets of twelve, and 15 pound per hand lateral raises 10-8-8. Walked a mile to my car Wednesday- Slob day. Woke up late, ate badly, worked, came home, went for boneless wings. Thursday- 15 minute walk with my wife, cereal bar for breakfast, a bad back/biceps/triceps day, and a mile walk home. Friday- So far, no food, four cups of coffee, and a 10 minute walk with my wife.
  6. I'm moving my intro details to a new thread, as well as changing a goal. Lifting weights twice a week is an easy goal to hit because I'm taking a weightlifting class.Also, got my page organized. Read on! Main Quest: Look less like a potato and more like a man. At 5’6â€, this means weighing no more than 160 pounds if in a leaner muscle range. Goals: Walk/jog 4+ times a week (complete 5k on 21 Feb) Eat better (beginning to ease into paleo 10 Feb) Be able to do 10 pull/chin-ups by Christmas Eve 2014 Motivation: This is my wife 8 July 2012. You might have noticed that’s from our wedding. I want to have more energy for her, as well as show her that I intend to woo her for the rest of our lives.
  7. Work on strength twice a week and walk/jog 4+ times a week. Gotta be ready for my 5k in February!
  8. I'm JJ. I am looking to lose weight, gain muscle, and live happier. Maybe then, I won't be so anxious in public settings.
