  1. Been awhile since I last updated my status on here! Still working hard; still making gains.

      Heya! No challenge?

  2. This week so far - Four heavy training sessions, four peaceful nights' sleep, four evenings of calm relaxation, four days of healthy nutrition = big fitness gains.

      Sounds great - keep going!

  3. Crippling lower body DOMS today, not helped by having to sit through a boring conference. Managed to sneak in a 10km run somehow!

      The King of Lame

      KANDOSII!

      That's what I'm talking about!

      Kick some ass, Strike.

  4. Finished up the Warded Man - was pretty good - enjoyed the cool setting, straightforward plot and writing style. The author clearly had a favourite Monk character he played in D&D! Next up - The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, which I'm told is brilliant and one I should have read a long time ago.
  5. Chest completely destroyed from new chest routine - dumbbell presses supersetted with push ups.

  6. Back in the gym after weekend away - changing up my freeweights routine this week with a new program.

  7. Classic case of beginner DOMS - congratulations, you owned your first few workouts!
  8. This. I've been trying my hardest to overtrain for months and still haven't reached that level yet
  9. Welcome! Good luck with making the changes to your lifestyle you are aiming for. Let us know how we can help
  10. What method did they use to record your bf%? The electrical current method is inaccurate for some people. Your picture looks to be in the high teens low 20s in terms of bf%
  11. Thanks guys - can't believe I have gone from do-nothing couch potato to competitive distance athlete in just 13 months
  12. YAY Friday!!!! Off up the coast for a weekend of beach, chilling out, gaming, eating and drinking with friends. But not before I've totally destroyed myself with a killer bodyweight workout!

Yes but 4 hours drive north of where I live - can only go a few times a year :)

  13. My amazing girlfriend just had her first session with her new powerlifting coach - and she loved it!

  14. First day of new job but no excuse not to train hard - 10km hill running, lifting, and a swim!

  15. I look forward with great anticipation to the continuation of this mighty epic.
  16. First meal of the day: 3 eggs, 1 can tuna, 1/2 a cup brown rice, 16 almonds, a banana, a bunch of grapes, a nectarine, 2 scoops whey protein. Boom!

  17. 'If it hurts the next day it means you're working out too much.' This from a work colleague who does no exercise at all, ever.
  18. Slept poorly last night. Struggling to find motivation today...

      ^Best advice ever!

  19. To write a critically acclaimed fantasy novel; to be independently wealthy; to marry the love of my life; to DJ to packed out clubs and arenas every weekend; to visit every country and continent in the world; to skydive; to run a marathon; to be an Oscars judge; to be an absolute fitness machine.
  20. Short term fitness goal done and dusted, back to focusing on my ongoing goal - strength! Hitting the freeweights today - chest and shoulders.

  21. This morning I completed my first official half marathon! My time - 1h 35m; this is a few minutes slower than my goal time but still the fastest time I have ever recorded for this distance, so I'm pretty happy. Celebrating with a meal out with my better half (who completed her first 5K run today!) and a few cheeky Bacardis!
  22. Finished my first official half-marathon!
