Hello everyone!! So I decided to make the change to paleo to make sure I gain as little fat as possible with my muscle. But my roommate told me that I could never build muscle with a paleo diet because I couldn't possible reach a caloric surplus. And it's kinda a true as I only have a berry/protein/banana/spinach smoothie for breakfast which is around 800 calories. Then I eat nothing until lunch in which I usually eata chicken breast with a side of veggies. I may eat a snack of almonds between lunch & dinner but I usually dont. Finally I eat 2 chicken breasts or any kind of meat with a bag of frozen vegetables. That's about it for me. Since I'm studying and I spend most of my day at the college where there aren't many paleo choices, I spent most of the day hungry waiting for lunch or dinner at the cafeteria.. Any help so that I could increase my calorie intake? Also, How much should the surplus be exactly to ensure maximum muscle growth? Thanks in advance!
