  1. I don't have an answer for squat alternatives, but at my Globo-Gym I use a bench press to squat at. No safety bars and I have to unrack the bar around the midpoint of my range of motion, but I'm using light weights (less than 135#). Is that a possibility?
  2. I find the accompanying DVD invaluable for fixing my form and technique. I believe it's around $25.
  3. Have you tried hummus? I dip vegetables in it to give them some flavor. Or hot sauce.
  4. Squatted 110x5 last night. My form was good but it was still a challenge. Very slow drive up on the last rep. I also did some pistol squats with a bench. I consider them "partials" because I'm going to above parallel. Anyhoo, there's an imbalance between my legs. My right leg is woefully weak. Not just my quads but my hamstrings as well. Unilateral leg work is part of my training program, so I hope I can strengthen my right leg and bring it up to speed.

  6. Good video but it doesn't touch on the subject of rebuilding your sperm. I'd like to know if the biological processes involved in rebuilding sperm can take away nutrients and resources from other mental or physical functions.

  8. Back in action last night. Didn't miss a step in my squats and improved my recovery to about 3-4 minutes per set.

  10. Hit a bit of a wall. My adrenals are blown out due to my consistent mercury detox. That led to some undesirable bacteria in my gut. So basically I feel like a lump until my adrenals and gut repair themselves.
  11. That's possible, but I'm also interrupted by my wife. And her cats. To pull it off I would have to train at 5 am. Tried it for a few weeks but it wasn't for me.

I'm going to move the pushups to Friday morning so that my triceps are fresh. My squat stance is becoming more comfortable thanks to all my practice in the squatting rest position. It's getting easier to keep my knees out which allows me to push my toes out further.
  13. I would see a doctor asap. If you have a minor injury, the pullups could worsen it. Wait - hold the phone! Dominos has a gluten free crust??!! Woo hoo!
  14. Kudos on getting passed the level 0 incompetent trainer. A lot of the strength lifts just require patience and practice. The squat looks like a simple movement but there are so many nuances it boggles my mind.
  15. For goal #1, the plan was to squat at home (I have the equipment). This would allow me enough rest between sets and more control over the variables. Well, last night my motivation was nill. When I get home after work, I'm in "relax mode". When I go to Globo-Gym I switch to "training mode". I couldn't switch over to "training mode" in my garage last night. My concentration and effort sucked. Long story short, I'll have to continue squatting at an open bench press at Globo-Gym. Why not the squat rack you ask? Good question. That's because Globo-Gym only has two squat racks and they're always occupied around 6 - 7 pm.
