  1. Hiya I'm WildRiceGirl! Level 1 Troll Priest, 29 year old, 5'9, 280.7 lbs. I actually started my quest last week, I couldn't wait. I'm ready to finally take my life in my own hands and complete all my life quests. I am morbidly obese and will change my diet and exercise regime so that I can be a healthy weight, super sexy, and as a direct result finally comfortable in my own skin. 6 Month Goal In the next six months I would like to complete a triathlon. The ways that I will achieve this are as follows Go to Spin classes at least 3 times a weekSwim at least 3 times a week Be able to run at least one 8 minute mileBe able to run a 10K 6 Week Goal Become completely acclimated to Paleo and down 35 pounds. Complete Spin class at least once per weekNot miss any runs in my C25K programComplete the Beginner Workout program 3 times a week.Eat completely Paleo at least 3 continuous weeks without a slip up. Side Life Goal Pay one outstanding bill
  2. Day 3 now So far I'm absolutely loving the Paleo! I really haven't encountered any instances where I have wanted to jump off the bandwagon. I'm sure that they will present themselves in time though and I'll be ready! I went to spin class this morning after I got off work. It wasn't the same instructor that usually is there and I could tell the difference. The guy we had today was very gungho about the music selection he'd prepared. The woman who usually teaches is more about how the "ride" is. What we're doing, we're climing, we're recovering, we're ready to fall off our bikes and die. I am in no way a cyclist, but I do love going to spin. I'm going to start the beginner circuit training when I get off work tonight. I won't be posting what I'm eating here as it can be obnoxious to people :>
  3. Well It's Day 1 for me. I know that the acutal challenge doesn't start here until Monday February 24th, but I couldn't wait. I knew that if I didn't start immediately I'd lose my motivation and it'd be another month or 8 before I got serious. I started eating Paleo today. I'm not going to be hard on myself if I am not 100% transitioned within the first 6 weeks but that is my goal. Today has been fantastic with it so far. However my sleep schedule is totally off so I haven't slept yet today and I work until 0300. No biggie though I'm still excited and happy with the day. I haven't been hungry at all which has been fantastic! Breakfast Omelette - Tomato, Red Pepper, Avacado, mushrooms Mid Snack - Almonds Lunch - Apple with Almond Butter Mid Snack - Salad - chicken, tomato, red pepper, avacado, mushrooms, jicima Dinner - Apple with Walnut Butter Snack (pre workout) - chicken and sweet potato All in all pretty proud of my progress today. Even though I'm on the end of my cold I'm planning on going to the gym after work to do Day 1 of C25K program. I'm a little leary of starting it when I can't fully breathe but I think it'll be alright. I've had this stupid cold for over a week now and I am definitely ready for it to be done.
