  1. Hey there! Lots of fun stuff going on here, following along.
  2. I love the idea of mini wins. I need to do more of this in life. Sorry you have stress about your job. You never really know until you try so don't be too hard on yourself. Hope you can find something that fits soon.
  3. I love that you're using your actual heritage for this. Family is definitely a big motivator. Your goals look great and I can see you are a warrior in the works.
  4. Hi TurtleBear! My hubby is a computer guy and he will be 40 in a few weeks. I've been trying to drag him on here but he hasn't gotten around to it. Sounds like you have a good plan and congrats on the new job!
  5. Hi, James! Your goals look good. I won't tell you it will be easy especially with your traveling, but you can do it! Just don't eat while you're here and you should be fine...haha Really though, we do have some real food, but I hope you have a great time no matter what you eat. Congrats on your internship and blessings in your ministry.
  6. Welcome, Alex! Your goals look pretty good. The first step is a big one but that brings you one step closer to where you want to be. Have a great time on your trip!
  7. Hi, Seeker! Looks like you have a good set of goals here. I discovered YAYOG at the library a few years ago, good stuff.
  8. Hi, Lou! We're happy to have you back no matter your past. 50 lbs is amazing! Great job! I'm really liking your goals. Will you be sharing what your new foods and activities are? We could definitely use less screen time too.
  9. Glad to have you back! No need for daily reports or anything just check in when you can
  10. I see so much of myself here, I couldn't not post. ... but failed at most(though I have succeeded in some things)- yep A lot of it has to do with me, I need to be more responsible & not lazy. -yep Depression, low self esteem, being out of shape, & feeling so tired all the time hinder me a lot. -yep I have lots of social anxiety too.- Not too bad for me but I'm not near as social as I used to be and I wish I was. my life goal is to stay off the computer- Seriously!! Sometimes I'm just sitting here like, why am I on Facebook again??? I think you're off to a good start. Jellowy is good
  11. Welcome back and great goals full of adventure! I love that you are making a point to be outdoorsy. I haven't done anything like that in several years and I miss it. Don't be down on yourself about the snacks/ sugar. I think you'll find that's a problem many of us here struggle with and cutting back in any way at all is a good thing. It's good you're looking at your mental battles too. That's at least half the fight.
  12. Great idea to make simple goals this time around. I hope all this new and exciting stuff is all that you want it to be (bummer on the mirror, though). Every single day for 94 days...wow! It would be interesting to commit to something and see what changes after that long. I've never seen House of Cards if that makes you feel better. Hope things go as smooth as possible for you these next few weeks.
  13. Wow, just jumping right on there starting off on the island! Good plan and great work so far! Be strong!
  14. Hi, your plan looks really great and with all the preparation you're doing, I can see you really doing well. I've done archery a few times and liked it. Now put that on horseback? That would be sweet!
  15. Don't listen to the scale. Look at the changes in the mirror. Look at how much better you feel. Look at all the things you "seen" on your walk so far. It was fun following along and I hope to see you next challenge
  16. Sounds like a pretty good challenge overall, great job! I can easily find myself getting into trouble not getting enough to eat. I track my food to try to make sure I get enough. Before I started tracking I was probably around the 1000 mark too. No wonder I felt like crap. I'm not really one to sit down and chill though (drives hubby crazy haha) so I get caught up in whatever I'm doing and just grab something quick, which is not enough. Back to you, yay for extra $$$. Are you a spender or a saver? See you next challenge!
  17. Hope everything is ok. See you next round!
  18. We're slowly working our way up to a decent sized garden. #4 is on the way for us so we'll have to do something lol I'd also really like to get dairy goats someday. We already make our own yogurt and we blow through milk like it's air around here. It's nice to see some bigger families too. You all are a bit ahead of me though. My oldest is only 6 so I can't imagine having kids around that don't "mom, mom, mom, mom..." all day. I'm 15 weeks now, but here are my ducklings.
  19. Great job on the run! Also, two pull ups isn't bad at all. I don't think I'm anywhere near one. Glad you got a chance to check out the shake. Looking forward to following you next challenge.
  20. I do think tracking my portions of food groups was much more helpful for complete nutrition than just calories and macros. I think this will help my husband with his weight loss too, so I'm going to stick with that. We've all been sick this week with some kind of cough thing. Hubby's turned into bronchitis so I didn't keep up with the food as much, but hoping to get back to it next week. I gained a total of 7 lbs during my first trimester which I am pretty happy with. I just need to keep it up. Workouts did not happen. I usually plan on doing them earlier in the day but I don't get around to it until after the kids get to bed. I was so exhausted by then, and earlier in the challenge not feeling well. Second trimester should be much better with that. Water- these last few weeks have been better. I've really been trying to take advantage of my liking for salty and spicy foods and it seems to be working. Hoping to continue a gradual improvement on this. On top of the sickness this week, we also had a very close gaming friends of ours suddenly pass away. We never got to meet him in real life, but he and his wife have been like family to us for several years. I know you guys will understand. Looking forward to next challenge- my birthday, hubby's birthday, baby's ultrasound, and our anniversary
  21. Yay for the fruits and veggies. People rarely have perfect challenges. It's ok to slip a little here and there. Hope to see you next challenge!
  22. If this was yesterday I would have said not great. The last 2 weeks I have not done a single workout. I was completely exhausted and not feeling well by the time I got the kids to bed every night. I had been gaining 1 lb every other week and was very down about it. I saw a Facebook post from a fairly well known fitness model and personal trainer. She had a baby maybe a yearish ago and her muscle tone was still down quite a bit from what it was before. I thought, that's it. I can't do it. If she's still trying to build her muscle back a year later, there's no way I can do it pregnant, then no exercise for 6 weeks after delivery, then still trying to get enough calories to nurse. I love babies. I love kids. I'm happy to see the older ones excited about getting a new baby. I just didn't know it would take so much out of me physically. Then I got on the scale today and I gained 2.4 lbs in a week...what!?!? So...maybe it is possible. Maybe I can find way to do my workouts earlier when I'm feeling better and somehow involve the kids. Water has been slightly better and we actually got things cleaned up enough to have some friends over last weekend. Of course with the holiday weekend we got a bit behind but I'm going to try to catch up tomorrow. Have a great week everyone!
  23. Great to hear you're making progress! Keep it up!
  24. Wow! What a weekend of physical, mental, and social stuff! Pushing yourself so much in just a few days, proud of you!
